00:57in Mandaluyong starting today. This is the very first time for the Department of Violent Workers and

01:09friendship week celebration for the Philippines and Japan. On Thursday, August 1, the DMW is
01:15arranging a job fair at Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City as part of the celebration where 15 licensed
01:23Agencies will be ready to assist from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m
01:26Japan has been one of the key labor markets in the Asia-Pacific region. It is estimated that there are more than
01:33300,000 documented Filipino workers in the professional and skilled categories
01:38mostly in the fields of engineering
01:41software development
01:42language teaching
01:44interpreters
01:45translators and nursing care
01:47Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos have called Japan their second home and I can truly say that they have
01:55contributed greatly and positively
01:57to where our country's relationship stands today. Primary sectors employing Filipino workers include construction
02:05medicine and health care, hotel and restaurant, and customer service. The same goes with Filipinos interested to work as jewelry designers,
02:13cooks, entertainers, professional athletes, and tech specialists. During the job fair, stories of
02:19hard-working and high-spirited
02:21OFWs in Japan will be featured by way of film showing and hybrid greeting sessions. The DMW and the Japanese Embassy
02:28aim to provide Filipinos access to legitimate recruiters or headhunters. Secretary Kakdak
02:34also stated that participants can receive free Nupongo or Japanese language lessons.
02:39He thanked the Japanese government for their continued support in helping Filipinos work and live peacefully in Japan.
