As ever there is loads on in the city of Bristol from the start of bristol from funderworlds summer fair to valley fest in chew valley and pickle fest on park field road.

00:05tell us what is our first What Is On in the City?
00:10The Summer Late series at Brunel's SS Great Britain is back this week with two folk bands.
00:17The Eve Appleton Band offer comforting and thoughtful, provoking music with a rich blend
00:24of acoustic instruments and soulful vocals, whilst Old Mall draws on traditional influences
00:31to create a modern and vibrant sound. They will be performing on Thursday from 6pm to
00:369pm.
00:37So, that is a very exciting one for Summer in the City of Bristol. So, shall we move
00:43on to our second What Is On in the City this week? Tell me about that.
00:48Hubbard Circus is screening the Olympic Games at the official Team GP Fan Zone at Quaker's
00:54Briars. There will be a special appearance from the official Team GP mascot, Pride the
00:59Lion, on Sunday, as well as soon-to-be-revealed appearances from athletes returning from Paris
01:05throughout the duration of the Fan Zone. Table Tennis England will also be making an appearance
01:11alongside professional player Louise Price, who will hit balls with locals on the newly
01:16installed table tennis tables.

01:25the Bristolians who are competing. So, shall we move on to our third What Is On in the
01:32City this week? Tell me about that.
01:35From this Friday at 10.30am, John Wesley's New Rooms will be screening family-friendly
01:40films every Friday throughout the month. The event is free and suitable for children aged
01:463-11. There will be refreshments and popcorn on sale at the site. This week they will be
01:52showing Wonka.
01:55That is a lovely one, and an iconic film to watch this summer.
