00:13The two U.S. officials were in the country to attend the 4th Philippines-U.S. Foreign and Defense Ministerial Dialogue or 2-plus-2 Dialogue
00:24led by Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo and Defense Secretary Gilberto Chedoro, Jr.
00:31According to President Marcos, Jr., the two countries will hold open communications with the Philippines and the U.S.,
00:38particularly on issues related to the West Philippine Sea and the Indo-Pacific region.
00:45The DFA first announced that the 2-plus-2 Dialogue will strengthen the alliance between the Philippines and the U.S.
00:53while implementing steps to support the rules-based international order,
00:59strengthening economic relations, and laying a solution to global security challenges.
