00:00The faces of Canberrans who have never come home.
00:06One of them, mother of two Laura Hayworth, now, after more than 16 years missing, new
00:12information has come to light.
00:14Police have received information to lead us to suspect she met with foul play.
00:18The then 23-year-old was last seen when she left her friend's house in Queanbeyan on Saturday
00:23January 5, 2008.
00:26She said she was going to work, but never arrived.
00:29On January 18, her red Mazda 121 was found at the Canangra Court Flats in Reid.
00:35Despite extensive investigations at the time and over the years, Laura has never been located.
00:42We believe there are people in the community that have information about Laura's disappearance.
00:47ACT and NSW Police have now joined forces to investigate her disappearance.
00:52I'd love to find Laura, I'd love to reunite her with her family, but as I said we have
00:56grave concerns for her welfare.
00:58I'm extremely optimistic that our joint resources will be able to find the family some answers.
01:04The weekend Laura Hayworth went missing coincided with the Summonats Car Festival in Canberra,
01:10which prompted police to appeal to attendees for information earlier this year.
01:14They're now making a renewed appeal to the wider public, hoping someone might hold answers.
01:20Any information, no matter how big or how small, could be relevant and could be the
01:23key to solving Laura's disappearance.
01:27I'm extremely confident someone out there knows what happened to Laura.
01:31All we need them to do is make that phone call.
01:33A call that could bring closure to loved ones waiting for answers.
