Transcript
00:00With Biden throwing his support behind, as you said, his vice president, who he knew he could
00:04finish the job and endorsing Kamala Harris. Do you think that this will unify the Democratic field
00:10or the Democratic Party, or will this ignite a major contest for the nomination within the party
00:15as they gear up for the Democratic National Convention? It's already serving as a major
00:20uniter. Vice President Harris raised over $50 million in under four hours last night alone.
00:27We're seeing today that within that 24-hour period, she has totally busted fundraising goals
00:33and has made history with raising more than any presidential candidate in history in a 24-hour
00:39period. She's someone who has been able to not only align the party, all the names that were
00:44thrown out as potential contenders against her in a mini-primary of sorts, from Gavin Newsom
00:48to Governor Gretchen Whitmer to potentially J.P. Pritzker out of Illinois, all of the names who
00:54have been thrown out have all also endorsed her. Nancy Pelosi also threw behind her endorsement.
01:00We've seen time and again the PACs that matter. SEIU, the largest organization in the country
01:07when it comes to union organizing, is behind her. We've seen the Latino Victory PAC. We've seen
01:12the AAPI community. We've seen the Black community. I think that all of these things
01:16matter, and we are very excited, and the momentum is behind Vice President Harris.
01:21She's going into this process in the virtual roll call as well as the DNC with everyone really
01:28aligning around her. We're seeing the fundraising, but we're also seeing the Democratic voices
01:32from various states across the country, battlegrounds and not battlegrounds. We're seeing
01:37the former president, President Bill Clinton, as well as his wife Hillary Clinton, a former senator,
01:42have also come out in support of Kamala Harris and her victory. So she's on a mad rush
01:48to get the Democratic nomination, and in a very short amount of time, we know that the DNC is just
01:52around the corner. It appears as though she will have everything that she needs pretty much locked
01:57up before the end of the week.
