5-year agreement on potato program inked

00:00The Department of Agriculture, or DA, and a food manufacturing company signed a five-year
00:05memorandum of agreement to advance the Sustainable Potato Program, or SPP.
00:10The collaboration with Universal Robina Corporation, or URC, seeks to establish reliable seed systems,
00:18enhance potato farmer organizations, and improve farm productivity in key potato-producing regions.
00:24The agreement will focus on training farmers, seed multiplication, pest management and marketing,
00:30with the DA providing additional funding and support for seed production and infrastructure.
