Over 100 people injured as train derails after smashing into truck in Russia

Over 100 people were injured after a passenger train carrying around 800 people collided with a KamAZ truck, derailing nine carriages, the Russian Emergency Ministry said.

The train was traveling from Kazan in Tatarstan to Adler on the Black Sea when it derailed in the southern Volgograd region.

The truck driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
