00:36So Paul Skeens is infectious, like it's a big deal.
00:39And it's good for Major League Baseball.
00:40It's great that he was out there for the All-Star game.
00:43All that stuff is fantastic.
00:45But as good of a story as that is, these are media awards.
00:49They're narrative driven awards.
00:51Skeens is going to win his award.
00:52They're going to give him that Rookie of the Year.
00:55That's signed, sealed, and delivered.
00:57It's minus five million right now.
00:58Forget it.
00:59You can't even get, you can't even touch it.

01:02Chris Sale, the guy that has not pitched at all barely in the last couple of years, going
01:06to Atlanta and saving this rotation, I think he is more deserving.
01:12This team has somehow withstood the injuries of Ronald Acuna, Spencer Strider, and now
01:17Ossie Alves for a significant period of time.
01:20And the Braves are still in it.
01:21That is stunning.
01:22Al Azud has been great.
01:24Matt Olsen, you'd like to see him pick things up a little bit.
01:27Austin Riley, now that he's healthy, he's still got a lot of talent.
01:30It just tells you how good the Braves are and how deep they are.
01:33But really, it's been Chris Sale that's kind of saved the bacon of this rotation.
01:38He's been so good.
01:39And I think that narrative is better than the Skeens one you're writing.
01:42I like the Skeens one you're writing.
01:44He's going to get some hardware.
01:46You and I both know it takes a very special season for a guy to win Cy Young and Rookie
01:49of the Year.
01:50It can happen.
01:51It has happened.
01:52But at the same time, man, it is hard not to give it to Chris Sale right now.
01:56And his narrative is just better than anybody else's.
01:59And it's a good story at the end of the day that wins these awards.
