00:00We only have a couple of moments like this a year when we're reminded like,
00:03hey, there are fans out there that are loving the show.
00:05Yeah, and for some reason, we're never nominated for any awards.
00:08This is incredible. We're like, oh, what? Oh, oh, you like us? Okay.
00:20I am so excited to be here with you guys. Ghosts is hilarious and such a runaway hit. Of course,
00:26you guys got to connect with all of the fans in the panel. What does it feel like when you get to
00:31have those one-on-one moments when fans get to come up and ask you questions and you finally
00:35get to connect with the people that love the show the most? It's thrilling. Yeah. Also,
00:40impressive. Some of the questions were like, whoa, we might use that. That was pretty smart.
00:46Yeah, well thought out questions, like fans who have clearly thought through the ghost rules and
00:51know a ton about the show. So that's always really fun when you see how into it they are.
00:55And lots of cosplay out there, which will never cease to gobsmack me. That's such a huge,
01:01huge honor. One of our fans was cosplayed as Sass in the Star Trek outfit. Oh, I didn't see that.
01:06Oh my gosh. I had a photo with her. It was amazing. It's so great. It's surreal. I mean,
01:11we shoot the show in Montreal. So we're basically shooting 22 episodes in another country
01:16for most of the year, six or seven months. So then to come back to the States and walk into a room
01:22with thousands of people who are apparently there to see us is absolutely surreal. It's so
01:28affirming. And it goes to show like how much of a people's show ghost has become.
01:35It really is like a reminder of why we're doing it, you know, because we are sort of making it
01:40in this isolated place and we aren't surrounded by industry at all. So yeah, we only have a couple
01:45of moments like this a year when we're reminded like, hey, there are fans out there that are
01:49loving the show. Yeah. And for some reason we never nominated for any awards. This is
01:53incredible. We're like, oh, what? Oh, oh, you like us. Okay. So one of my favorite,
02:00I don't want to call it a running gag, but all of the creative ways that we got to see
02:06Rose's pregnancy in the most recent season. I'm curious, do you guys have a favorite way
02:12that it was covered up? I'm partial to the basket. Oh, I like the laundry basket.
02:18Like she walks into a doorway holding a laundry basket in front of it. That was a fun one. Oh,
02:22my gosh. We'd have to do Sam and Jay scenes in bed. Right. And there's always a moment
02:28in every season where something happens and we both shoot up in bed like this and look at each
02:32other. Oh, she can't do it. Or Rose. No abs. Yeah. Because of the baby. So she's like, guys,
02:38we're going to have to do like a rollover and push up. So we had to figure out all these strange
02:43mechanical ways to to get us both up quickly for Rose and the baby to both be like able to join me
02:50in the shot. But Rose MacGyver is so game. She's up for anything. And it is just an incredibly
02:57so much humility. And she's back to work now with a three month. Yeah, she's amazing. But I love
03:02when like we'll call cut and she's like this and then she goes action. She goes who puts the jacket
03:07like over and. Oh, yeah. The hunch over. Hunch over. So great. She's amazing. Yeah. Now I know
03:14that this next season we're going to see a big change because you're going to start seeing dead
03:18people. Oh, you were at the panel. We heard. You heard. News has traveled. Yeah. Your guess is as
03:25good as mine. How do you think? Well, I'm just curious to see you actually interact with the
03:30rest of the cast. So are we. We've never actually gotten to see. Ro and I got to do it. We got to
03:34interact a little bit. So that was fun. Yeah. But I'm curious to see how. Episode two. That's right.
03:40He's got entering Jay's dreams when we got to see Sassapiece's ghost power. But I don't know how
03:46it's going to happen. I think for me as an actor, it'll be so nice to be able to make eye contact
03:51with my co-workers for the first time. I mean, it's pretty cool. I have no idea what their eyes
03:56look like, what color they are. Forget what you're. Oh. Huh. But we don't know how long it's going to
04:05last. This is not necessarily a new permanent condition. No, it'll be hopefully one or two
04:10episodes that we can go on this little adventure. Yeah. And then we'll get back to the CBS formula.
04:17Jay's earned it. Jay's earned some fun. The audience has earned it. You guys who watch the
04:22show and love the show, you've earned it. I'm doing great ignoring everyone at work every day.
04:27I have a very low maintenance job. But yeah, it'll be fun to actually like, you know, earn my earn
04:34what I'm doing. It'll be fun. So something else that was teased at the panel was, of course,
04:39the return of holiday specials. Oh, yeah. I know everybody is excited about. Are there any of those
04:44past cameos that you guys are really eager to have return in a future holiday special? Well,
04:50we love Pudam Patel, who plays Jay's sister. We're going to get to see more of Jay's family
04:54this year. So that casting should be super exciting. But Pudam should definitely be back
04:58for whatever big family episode. Yeah. You know, we're so lucky. It would be great. Yeah. Who else
05:03came around for Christmas, guys? Andrew Leeds. Yes. We love Andrew. But then for Halloween,
05:10Hannah Rosemay. Hannah Rosemay, who is, who writes, what is the name of her comic?
05:14Rogues Gallery. Rogues Gallery. She has one right now. She's here at Comic-Con right now. We love
05:17her. She's like a line around the block for her signing yesterday for 1600 for IDW. Yeah. She
05:26played Heddy's Maid. Yep. Yes. I'm sure your character would be very excited to see her come
05:31back. Yeah. Speaking of which, do we think Sass is going to find love? What's he looking for?
05:38He's looking for a relationship that lasts longer than 72 hours. Thank you. Yes. Somebody who
05:43doesn't have burrito breath? Margarita breath? Margarita. Yeah. What is some, who knows? She's
05:50hungover. She, I don't know. Who knows? Someone with good breath would be great. Yeah. I don't
05:55know. Probably low bar, dude. He doesn't have much experience. He just wants to be loved.
06:00Sassapis is going to find love. Yeah. It's going to be in a way that you'll never expect.
06:06No, we also got some exciting news about a new cast members joining. So Mary Holland is coming
06:16in as Patience. What kind of energy is she going to bring to this cast? I am so excited to see.
06:22A lot of ego on that one. Oh yeah. Ego. Did you notice that? Mary Holland as an actor and as a
06:30performer, as a person is so incredibly. Overbearing. We love her. She's incredibly
06:37funny. And she also just had a baby and she's lovely. But as a performer, the character is
06:43written very funny. And as a voice, I think that will, uh, that kind of rounds out what the current,
06:48you know, gaggle of clowns pretty nicely. And as soon as we heard she was going to do it,
06:52a lot of us are improvisers on the cast and know her very well from the UCB world and improvising
06:57world. And we're like so excited the second we heard it. She's going to, she's a fantastic.
07:02And it's a great character and a great foil for Brandon Scott Jones character. So funny. So
07:06their stuff together, the first couple episodes of the season is so really great. Yeah. We also
07:11found out Dean Norris is joining. What is it going to be like getting to see him on this show
07:18and working with him? I think it's just perfect casting. I think it's, it's, I'm excited. Yeah,
07:24we all are. I mean, like so many of us are huge fans of so many of the things that he's done,
07:28including Breaking Bad, obviously. So yeah, very excited to have him at Woodstock. I've worked with
07:33Dean and he's great. As good as he can play, you know, creepy and odd and dark. He's incredibly
07:39funny. Yeah. Very, very funny. He's been in every single one of my favorite action movies. So we're
07:44just going to ask him questions about that all day long. He'll be avoiding you by day two. Yeah.
07:50No chance. Next season, we're also finally getting to the restaurant.
07:58What are you most excited about in seeing that storyline finally come to fruition? We're finally
08:03going to get to experience it. And what kind of food do you hope? Well, yeah, I guess there's the
08:08whole storyline and the character and sort of selfishly like Jay is going to have an experience
08:13or a little adventure that's his. But our set designers are so like special. Yeah. Like,
08:23I can't wait to see what they come up with for how the restaurant actually looks. Yeah, we haven't
08:29seen it yet. They're like currently in process building it. Whether it's like flour at the
08:33bottom of a well or, you know, when Pete gets to go to the airport, the way that they put together
08:40our sets, it's just exceptional. They do it in such short time periods. It is like a craft and
08:46such a gift. They're amazing. We are always blown away. Like, we'll be at lunch and being like,
08:51did you go see the new set? Like, how did they do that? Like, it's crazy. They built a tiki bar in
08:56like four days. That's what I was talking about. That really looked like last year. That was so
09:00fun. We had an abbreviated season last year and Montreal is very, very cold in the winter and we
09:05shot everything in the winter. So there weren't, I think there was maybe one exterior shot. Him.
09:10Yours. In the whole season. So when you see us out running through the forest or flower in the
09:14well, they built all of that on a soundstage. Yeah. And they built the entire facade of
09:18Woodstown Mansion and it's seamless. Very, very talented. Incredible. Yeah. Now, obviously this
09:24weekend is all about celebrating movies and TV shows that we love and celebrating the fans. So
09:30I want to know what is on your watch list. What are the movies and TV shows that are getting you
09:34excited these days? Well, I think we know a movie that we all want to see. Deadpool? Deadpool. Yeah.
09:40Oh, I saw it yesterday. You saw it? You saw it without us? I invited all of you. That's really
09:44not true. None of them came. I went and saw the only showing I could find, which was Deadpool
09:49with Spanish subtitles. No way. And I freaking loved it. You didn't tell me that. That's hilarious.
09:54Oh, I didn't tell you that. Yeah, I went, watched it, ate a hot dog, some Dibs ice creams. Nice.
10:00Cherry Coke. And I liked it. I give it a solid seven and a half out of ten. Oh, wow. I don't
10:06know when this comes out, but season, I think two of the American version of The Traitors.
10:12Oh, Richard. What I'm looking forward to. I'm so excited. I love Alan Cummings. I love the cast
10:17that they announced for it. It's crazy. I'm really excited. Really? It's the only reality TV show I
10:23care about at all. You know what, that's a really good guilty pleasure. And I adore it. I think it's
10:26the best show on television. I'm interested in the second season of The Diplomat with Kerry Russell
10:30because I love her so much. I love her. This is like real classy television. Diplomat, that's like
10:37real. That's like an hour long drama. Were we supposed to only be talking about comedy? No,
10:42no, not at all. I'm asking you for real. It's amazing. Kerry Russell plays the, well, I'm not
10:48here to give a recap of The Diplomat. Oh, we love Kerry Russell. We're very excited and the chemistry
10:52between them. So I'm excited for that. Also, my friend Natasha Rothwell has a new show coming out.
10:57She was on like Insecure. She has a new show coming out and it's going to kill me. Does anyone
11:02know the name of Natasha Rothwell's new show? I don't. It's like How to Die Alone. I think that
11:08might be it. How to Die Alone. Is that about you? Yeah, it's about me. It's all based on my story
11:13and how I just repel everyone I'm with. No, Natasha Rothwell, I think, is the funniest woman in the
11:18world. So I'm very excited to watch her. There's a show that I love right now. It's on BET+,
11:23which is something that a lot of people aren't getting to, but it's called Diara from Detroit.
11:28And it's my good friend Diara Kilpatrick and her husband, Myles Feld, put it together. It is
11:33the funniest show on television. So well written. It's got action, mystery, excitement. I'm not
11:41joking. It's damn good. Steal BET+, from somebody. There's somebody you know with a password.
11:47That's how I got it. That's on my list. I've been meaning to watch it. And that's how you should
11:50watch it. Also, I just watched this last season of The Boys. I finished that up. It's disgusting.
11:56It's weird. It got real strange, but I'll watch The Boys any day of the week.
12:04Well, I want to thank you all so much for taking the time to come by. We love ghosts here,
12:09and I hope you have an amazing rest of your comic con. Thank you so much. Thank you. See you in
12:13October, everyone.
