Huling Biyernes bago ang pasukan sa public school pero tiyak nang hindi makasasabay d’yan ang 700 paralan. Mahigit 200 d’yan ang baha habang ang iba, ginagamit na evacuation center.

00:00Last Friday, before entering the public school,

00:04700 students were not able to attend the class.

00:08More than 200 students were flooded,

00:10while others were used as evacuation centers.

00:13Sandra Aguinaldo was there.

00:18In the midst of the heavy rain of heavy rain and super typhoon Karina,

00:23some of the students drowned.

00:25This is what happened in this public school in Sarat, Ilocos Norte.

00:30Libertad National High School in Abulug, Cagayan,

00:34and Kagisikan Elementary School in Calapan, Oriental, Mindoro

00:38were also affected by the rain.

00:41According to DepEd, 246 schools were flooded.

00:45Some of the students drowned,

00:47while others were used as evacuation centers.

00:51Like Malanday National High School in Valenzuela City

00:54which was visited by President Bongbong Marcos.

00:57This is one of 64 schools that are still being used as evacuation centers

01:03according to DepEd data.

01:05In total, 738 schools in 4 regions

01:10were not able to open their classes on Monday.

01:14We really want to go back to July 29,

01:18but others really can't.

01:21On the whole, so far our report is that the NCR is severely damaged,

01:27Region 4A, Calabarzon, and well it seems Region 3 as well

01:33because we have 400 schools that will open after July 29.

01:37Among those who suspended the opening of classes on Monday,

01:41Malabon.

01:42It will be closed on July 31,

01:44especially since the affected schools will not be closed.

01:48According to DepEd.

01:50In August 5, classes will start in Marikines City and Valenzuela

01:56where 40 schools were affected according to DepEd.

02:00Malinta Elementary School for example,

02:038 classrooms were occupied by evacuees,

02:09But earlier, the painting and cleaning continued as a preparation for the school opening.
