00:00Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara announced that the opening of classes in some public schools in areas affected by the earthquake earlier and immediately.
00:12According to DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, this is for the arrangement and cleaning of affected schools.
00:19On the other hand, the entry to schools that have no or small classrooms will continue.
00:26According to DepEd, 60 schools in 60 regions of the country were affected by the earthquake earlier and immediately.
00:33These include Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Western and Eastern Visayas,
00:43and 324 schools are being used as evacuation centers in 6 regions.
00:51Meanwhile, DepEd predicts that the number of enrollees for the school year 2024-2025 across the country has reached more than 18 million.
