Wauchope president Paul Walsh explains today On The Bench how the committee went about turning around the club's fortunes. He said re-connecting with the community and putting pride back into the Wauchope jumper were two major aspirations

00:00Hello, welcome back to On the Bench. I'm Marty Boyle from the Port Macquarie News. I'm joined
00:07again by Mick McDonald from the Manning River Times, who's once again given me the introduction
00:12duties. And we're joined by the Warhol Blues President, Paul Walsh. Thanks for coming in,
00:18Paul.
00:19It's a pleasure.
00:20Mick, do you have any housekeeping that you like to do?
00:22Yeah, of course, Marty. A very professional job. Again, you've shown me up for the second
00:26time. You're not doing that again. Of course, we're sponsored by Classic Design Jewels,
00:31this segment. Last week's Manning Hotel Player of the Week goes to Jake Hazard from the Tari
00:37City Club. Jake had an outstanding game as the Bulls scored their first win for the season
00:42and stunning epic, actually, given they've beaten by 60 points nearly the week before,
00:46but they beat the Breakers 42-6. We'll talk about that just a little bit later on. Paul,
00:52thanks for coming in.
00:53It's a great win.
00:54We've now done all eight clubs, Marty.
00:56Yeah, I know.
00:57What a milestone.
00:58You're well represented in them all, which is good this year.
01:00Yeah, it certainly is. Paul, your club's having a pretty good year after last year's problems.
01:05Yeah, I'm extremely pleased with where we're at. As I said, we've been in the doldrums
01:10for a couple of years, and a bit of a change in attitude, change in committee, and really
01:16re-embraced the town. And yeah, that's shown where we're at at the moment and going very
01:20well.
01:21When I spoke to you earlier this season, two messages came out of my conversation with
01:25you, and Bo White, which was like, you wanted to put pride back into the jersey on the field
01:30and also reconnect with the community. How has that, obviously, it's been quite effective
01:34this year?
01:35Yeah, it has. We really made a point of trying to, because last year we were lucky to get
01:39three people out to come watch us play, and it was a bit embarrassing, really. So basically,
01:46yeah, we wanted to reconnect with our people. We wanted to get, because Warhol's always
01:49been a rugby league town. It's been a strong town. And we've done that. We've got good
01:54crowds at our home games. We've got people talking about footy again, and that's the
01:58main thing. And people, when they start talking about it, they get an interest. And yeah,
02:02it's been great. I walk down the street and people stop me and ask me how the side's going
02:06to go this weekend, who's in, who's out. That's been great. And to have Bo as our first great
02:11coach, we knew Bo didn't have a lot of experience as a coach before, but we knew Bo was a great
02:16manager, and he's done a great job to build a side from basically scratch. And to be where
02:22we're at in all five grades is just, I couldn't be happier and more proud of the club.
02:26Yeah, and you talk about the home crowds too, but I went to the one where you were playing
02:30Port City at Port Regional, and Warhol Blues filling out the seats as well. So it's been
02:35really great to see that.
02:36Yeah, our away crowds have been amazing. We've been so proud of how our guys have travelled
02:42this year, and we've had to do a lot of travel in the first half of the season. We finished
02:47with four straight home games, which is going to be great. But yeah, the guys have travelled
02:52and they've helped us get where we're at.
02:55Because last year, you virtually didn't have a reserve outside last year. You forfeited
02:59the last three or four games. So when you took over, what was the first thing you had
03:03to do? Obviously get players, but you said Bo, who I think was a bit of a madden for
03:07players.
03:08Yeah, he was. We also went out and just spoke to a lot of the players that hadn't played
03:13in the last three or four years, and found out the reasons why they didn't play. We really
03:18tried to embrace what was the culture of the place 20 years ago, and we tried to bring
03:25that back. We spoke to a lot of the guys and found out their reasons why they didn't want
03:30to play for us, and we've addressed that.
03:32Another reason was we were really proactive in, we wanted to get good reserve grade coaches.
03:37So we've picked up Nigel McKenna and Reggie Martin, and they've been household names in
03:43rugby league around this area. Had a lot of success in the Hastings League, and they've
03:47attracted a lot of players to come over too. We've built a really strong core of under-18s,
03:52we had six or seven of those come up from last year as well. So there was a lot of positives
03:57there, we just had to blend it all together to get a good mix.
04:00When you talk about the Hastings League, how much pressure is the club under from the Hastings
04:03League?
04:05I think we've worked really closely with the Hastings League, and that's how it used to
04:10be 30 years ago. You'd actually get guys who didn't want to play in both and play Hastings
04:15League on the Saturday and then back up and play on the Sunday. That's sort of been thrown
04:19out the window in the last 10-15 years. We've worked really hard to make the players basically
04:26understand that group football should be a priority, and group football's the number
04:30one. We've shown them that our club's moving forward in the right direction, and it's a
04:36great opportunity just to come and play for us and be a part of our culture.
04:41Getting Tristan Scott to the halfback was a big game for you guys?
04:44Tristan's come through our juniors and been part of successful sides a number of years
04:50ago. When Tristan went away, he left a hole, and it's great to get him back.
04:55He played at Port City last year, didn't he?
04:56He came back after being up in Brisbane and had a year at Port City, yeah.
05:00Owen Blair, he had a few sins with Port City too. He was Hastings League South Australian
05:05Island's captain coach too, but he's a gun of a player for the Warhol Blues.
05:09Yeah, he's one of those guys that's just a rare talent. We're so lucky to have him as
05:16part of our club because not only does he bring what he brings on the field, what he
05:21brings off the field of training is special. He plays like he does because he trains so
05:27hard, and he really puts in and encourages the other boys to lift their performances
05:32of training. He's a real professional, Owen. He can score a try that 99 out of 100 people
05:40can't, and he just sniffs out opportunities. If you saw his try on Saturday against Maclay,
05:47it was just special. It got us back in the game, and yeah, he's a special talent.
05:52Yeah, I saw it when you played Wigan. I think most people expected Wigan to win that.
05:57Yep.
05:58I think Wigan expected Wigan to win that, and he was absolutely outstanding that day.
06:03Yeah, he's quality.
06:04You guys have got big, strong forwards too. I've only seen you play that one game, but
06:09you've got some big, strong forwards there.
06:12Unfortunately, most of them are injured at the moment, so we've got a real heavy injury
06:19toll, particularly with our middle forwards. That's a little bit of a concern for us at
06:24the moment, but we've got a bit of a next-man-up mentality at the moment. Couldn't believe
06:28how well the guys did on the weekend against a very strong Maclay side, and the best thing
06:34about that was we basically took a number of our guys out of reserve grade, and our
06:38reserve grads still got the dollars, so we're really pleased with how the club is overall
06:43in their strength.
06:44And the players that are injured, any longer-term ones?
06:47Yeah, unfortunately the majority are. Two of our starting front rowers in Bo Kettle,
06:53ACL, so he's gone for the year, Caelan Duncan, severely broken thumb, so he's potentially,
07:01and Jacob McGrath with a long-term hamstring injury, so those guys we marked as our starting
07:07front rowers, and they're all going to be missing. We threw out a little bit of an SOS
07:11to Matt Bird to come back out of retirement, and after a lot of persuasion, he has, so
07:19he'll create something for us in the middle there. We're a bit small in the middle at
07:25the moment.
07:26I was talking to Jordan Warboys on this segment a couple of weeks ago, and he said, oh, Matt
07:30Bird's back for a while, so he must be 40, wouldn't he? And he said, no, he's my age.
07:36He's sort of been playing first grade for so many years, you'd just think he's been
07:40around forever, but he's been a good forward for a number of years, hasn't he?
07:44Yeah, it was really good to get Matt back, because Matt's been played in those couple
07:48of, two or three years where we've struggled to win a game, and he's just put his heart
07:53and soul into the place, and now that we've got a side that's successful, that was one
07:58of our selling tools to him. We just sort of went and said, Matt, now's your opportunity,
08:01we're pretty sure we're going to be playing Paul's footy, come and have one last crack
08:06and see if we can get another premiership for you.
08:08Because they're undefeated, you and Bo Kettle-Kirchland.
08:10Yes.
08:11The comp got...
08:12Yeah, COVID, yeah.
08:13COVID, yeah, which is unfortunate.
08:14Yeah.
08:15Because that was shaping as a great semifinal series.
08:17Yeah.
08:18But you guys, the Sharks, Omar Porras would have, I think, fought it out, but even though
08:23Wyatt was around beaten, I don't think you were given to win the comp, but it was a...
08:27We'd like to think we were given.
08:28Oh, that's fair enough.
08:29So did they.
08:30So did they.
08:31Remember where you are at the moment.
08:32That's true.
08:33But no, but then, unfortunately, COVID came in and that was it.
08:37And it sort of fell away a bit the following year after that, didn't it?
08:41Yeah, I think that happens in country footy.
08:43Yeah.
08:44It's very cyclical business.
08:45You get one or two blokes retire and then the other guys see how much fun they're having
08:49playing golf and they like the idea of going and retiring as well.
08:53So you've got to take the opportunities when they come for you.
08:57Yeah.
08:58And we're blessed that our Wyatt Junior League's doing some really good things at the moment
09:03and there's a lot of good kids coming through.
09:06So, yeah.
09:07So if we keep doing the things we're doing off the field, we'll hopefully get people
09:11on the field that are going to do the job for us.
09:13You're currently fourth.
09:14I don't think you can knock off those top three slots.
09:17That fourth's probably about as good as you can finish.
09:19I'm still pretty confident we can get a top three.
09:22Last week hurt us a little bit with Kempsey, but yeah.
09:26As I said, we finished with four home games straight, so one of the things that we spoke
09:32about was putting that pride back in the jersey and making Lenk Bay a bit of a fortress.
09:38We've done that so far this year and we're optimistic that the draw falls in our favour
09:45with the home games and we'd like to think we can win all of those games.
09:50You play Wyngham next week, is it?
09:52Wyngham next week.
09:53That's at Wyngham.
09:54That's our last away game.
09:55And if Wyngham beats Turrey City this week, which they'd be favoured to do, they'll
10:00move within a good point of view, so that could possibly decide whether or not the side
10:05that wins that's going to certainly get well.
10:07We're poised to finish fourth.
10:08It's definitely a pivotal game.
10:10Well, fourth or third, but fourth certainly gives you a home semi-final or be it an elimination
10:15semi-final.
10:16Any home semi-final's a win for the club.
10:20The comp's back a week.
10:21Did you agree with that decision?
10:24Well, I guess we had little choice really.
10:28Mal does a tremendous job in running the comp.
10:31I'll never second-guess him.
10:33So, yeah, happy to go along with whatever the group say.
10:37Of course, the problem that that round had of Lorraine was all north-east-south, so organising
10:42mid-week games would be horrendous because you'd have to play them over two nights.
10:46Yeah, you would.
10:47Most clubs have got five grades.
10:49It's almost impossible.
10:51Our revenue streams rely heavily on our day-to-day Saturday-Sunday games, so we'd take a massive
11:00hit if we were to play a game on a Tuesday night, for example, especially in the cold.
11:05And you've got players backing up too, which causes more injury concerns as well.
11:10I know you were speaking to Tim Donovan from Port City about it, and that was a number
11:15of his concerns as well, about player backing up so shortly if it's a short turnaround.
11:20Yeah, and we had a catch-up game for our girls' side last Tuesday night down to Lorraine,
11:25and I think it was five degrees.
11:28We picked out three or four injuries out of that due to the nature of the cold that night
11:36and the hardness of the ground.
11:39So I'd prefer not to stay away from those catch-up mid-week games if we can, but yeah,
11:43it is what it is.
11:44The women's league seems to be fairly strong.
11:46It's a bit slow to catch on down the many Great Lakes if Wigan's got a side.
11:51I know Fawcett's got a side this year, but it's kicking on fairly well up here.
11:55It's absolutely fantastic to see where it's come from.
11:58I've been involved in it from day dot, and yeah, things are good.
12:04We're doing a really good job across the board on the north coast here.
12:09Our north coast Bulldogs team went away, finished second in the country champs this year,
12:13and that was made up of a majority of Group 3 girls.
12:18Yeah, there's some really good talent at our club.
12:23We're lucky, and I think we've got seven or eight of them in that north coast Bulldogs.
12:27Yeah, we're extremely proud of our girls' tackle side,
12:30and they're improving each and every week.
12:33They take the field.
12:34How's it balanced with league tag?
12:35Is there a problem there?
12:36No, it's a complete separate competition.
12:39We found the girls that want to play league tag probably don't like the contact,
12:43and they're happy playing league tag.
12:45We found the girls that like playing tackle,
12:47they really don't like the idea of just going back and no contact.
12:51They're two separate competitions,
12:54and whether or not they can Group 3 continue with both,
12:59that's a separate argument.
13:01Well, that's their intention, I think.
13:04We didn't have a league tag last year,
13:08and we were able to bring that back this year.
13:10The girls have really appreciated the opportunity to come back and play league tag this year.
13:14You had a couple of great league tag sides leading into last year.
13:18Yeah.
13:19We've got a number of them back,
13:22but we've also got a number of young girls that have come through to the club
13:25that have played junior league for us and wanted an opportunity to play league tag.
13:28We've provided that opportunity this year, and they've done really well.
13:32Emily Lester and Larissa Ward are our co-coaches.
13:36Unfortunately, Larissa's been injured all year and hasn't been able to pull on the boots.
13:40She'd probably be the best player in the competition.
13:43What's she done?
13:45Well, she's an aspiring jockey.
13:49I stood on that.
13:50Yeah, but she had a bit of a nasty fall,
13:53and she's still suffering from the effects of that.
13:56So, yeah, she won't play this year.
13:58She's a great player.
14:00She certainly is.
14:02I've never seen her play a tackle, but I've seen her play a league tag.
14:05She can play tackle as well, I can tell you.
14:07I was trying to persuade her this year to come across and play both,
14:10but yeah.
14:11But unfortunately, that won't happen.
14:13Emily Lester's a very famous Warhol footy name, of course, too.
14:16Very much so.
14:17Tookie Lester.
14:18When I was young, I was watching him play halfback for the Blues
14:20when I was eight years old, 50 years ago.
14:23Anyway, because the league tag numbers too in junior league are very strong.
14:27They are.
14:28I was speaking to Warren Blissett this year,
14:30before the season started,
14:31and he said that the tackle numbers are static,
14:34but the league tag has gone through the roof this season, which is...
14:37Yeah, it gives the girls an opportunity, particularly the girls,
14:40the opportunity to play and learn the game
14:42before they actually come into contact.
14:44And it lets them have that little bit of confidence
14:47to learn the pass and the main skills of the game.
14:50And then they can develop,
14:51if they want to go into the tackle format later on, they can.
14:55Yeah, I think it's definitely got its place.
14:58Who's been the best side the Warriors have played this year,
15:00in the first round, do you think?
15:01I think Tari Alba.
15:03Don't call him that, don't call him that.
15:05Alba, Alba.
15:06Just Alba.
15:07Oh, yeah, the great Tari Alba,
15:09who I used to get connected with back in the day.
15:11They've got what they left in a terrible day.
15:14But anyway, Alba.
15:15Just go Alba.
15:16Alba, bitch.
15:17Sorry, Da.
15:18I'll tell you what, I'll let you know too.
15:21No, I think definitely they're the best side that we've played.
15:25They're just so professional and they get their job done.
15:29Yeah, they probably weren't even at their best when we played them.
15:33And we played reasonably well.
15:35And they had us covered pretty well.
15:40But we think we've got a bit of improvement in them
15:42since we last played.
15:43But that was the very first game.
15:44Yeah, it was the very first game.
15:45We played on an absolute muddy.
15:49Yeah, and I've seen them play a couple of other games this year
15:52and I just think they're the defending premiers.
15:55They're the ones everyone's got to beat, in my opinion.
15:57It's going to be a blockbuster clash against the Sharks again.
16:01Yeah, it's a pretty rare thing.
16:04We back up again seven days later after a draw.
16:07So this probably could determine the minor premiership.
16:11And I think back down there at Alba,
16:16they get a good following down there
16:19and it'll be a tough place to go and get the points.
16:21But the Sharks are playing good footy as well
16:23and they're well drilled.
16:24And yeah, it'll be a good game.
16:26I covered that game last week for the Times and the Port News
16:29and it was tough.
16:30It was a hard game.
16:31They're a big side, Port.
16:32Port are a big side.
16:33And one of their main focuses when Matt Hogan just drills into them
16:36is defence, defence, defence, defence.
16:39How's that been for the Warhawks?
16:40Is that one of the main messages?
16:42Yeah, look, we know we've got points in us.
16:46With Owen and a few of the other boys in the side,
16:49we know we can score points.
16:51Our problem is we know we don't want to be chasing 20-plus every week.
16:56So yeah, Bo's big on our defence.
16:59Noel, Christy Cleve does a lot of work with us as well.
17:03It's great to have someone of his experience in the club.
17:06So Noel's always putting his two bobs worth in
17:09and there's a big focus on defence at our club.
17:13And yeah, look, as I said,
17:16unfortunately with our structures having to change every week
17:19with injuries every week at the moment,
17:21that's been something that we've had to deal with.
17:23But as I said,
17:24we've got a bit of a next-man-up mentality at the moment
17:26and the guys that have come up from reserve grade
17:28have done a fantastic job.
17:29And nearly every week,
17:31the guys that are coming up are scoring points
17:33in our player of the year.
17:34So, you know,
17:35we couldn't ask for more from what's happening
17:37from the club, from a player's point of view.
17:40You've had a few milestone matches too
17:43with Sam Watson, Ruben Trick, was it?
17:46Yeah, yeah.
17:47How have they been for the team?
17:49Sam's probably the most popular figure in the club.
17:53He's just a tremendous bloke.
17:55He's the first one there to assist in anything,
17:58whether it's at the canteen before he plays.
18:01He's always there to support all the other grades.
18:03He's there early.
18:04Everyone just looks up to Sam
18:06and for him to come back and play his 150th this year
18:09was a special thing for him.
18:12And for Ruben to play 100, likewise.
18:15And Ruben, again, is that old professional
18:18for the club.
18:19If I ask Ruben to come and help move anything
18:23even out of the ground,
18:24a few bins around before the game,
18:25Ruben's the first one to put his hand up
18:27to come out and do it.
18:28He's just a champion bloke
18:29and couldn't be more happier for those two
18:31to get their milestone games
18:32and to do it both at home
18:33and to both get the wins on those games
18:35was outstanding.
18:37And yeah, couldn't be more thrilled for those guys
18:40because they're true big club people
18:42and they're what White Blues is all about, really.
18:46I was actually there the day that Ruben played his 100th
18:49when he played Wingham
18:50and covered the game
18:51and had a bit of a presentation to him
18:52before the game.
18:53And Alan Lewis,
18:54one of the club greats,
18:55now I was covering football
18:57obviously then when Louie was the captain coach
18:59and all that
19:00and speak to him after the game
19:01it was like pulling tooth
19:02trying to get words out of him.
19:03Yeah, yeah.
19:04No, yeah, maybe.
19:05That'd be the response to every question.
19:07And because he made a speech to Ruben
19:10I thought this won't take long
19:12he spoke like Barack Obama.
19:13Yeah.
19:14It was magnificent.
19:16I thought, gee, you've conned me for 12 months
19:18I thought he had a bit of limited vocabulary
19:21but I'd have got him about that afterwards.
19:23He did not take it personally.
19:25And one of those key figures
19:27is a bloke like Alan Lewis
19:28to get him back in the club.
19:30Yes, yes.
19:31He's been tremendous
19:32and Louie, like everyone knows Louie
19:34obviously he's the local butcher in town
19:36and everyone knows him
19:37and everyone knows what he's done for our club
19:39and to have him back involved
19:41has been one of our success stories.
19:43Would be a good nomination for the group
19:45through Hall of Fame
19:46I'll just throw that in there.
19:47Yeah, I'll second that.
19:48You guys do it
19:49and it's a big chance of going in.
19:51And big game this weekend
19:52as we said
19:53Port Macquarie Sharks
19:54for the Old Bar Pirates
19:56when you said, Marty
19:58the Sharks last week
19:59defended absolutely magnificently
20:01Old Bar, I reckon, had 70-30 the ball
20:04both halves.
20:05Yeah.
20:06They kept up our scores
20:07in the first half
20:08which I was unheard of really
20:10and 12-4
20:11they were probably a little bit unlucky
20:12not to take the two points
20:14the Sharks
20:15but they got a bit
20:16a bit one out in attack
20:17towards the second half
20:18but they didn't have a lot of ball
20:19to do too much with it.
20:20I was going to say
20:21Matt would have been proud
20:23of his science defence
20:24but also wouldn't have been happy
20:26about how much ball
20:27that they threw over
20:29and he's sort of talked about
20:31this season
20:32how much the team
20:33has been letting
20:34the opposition back into
20:36on their line
20:37and just camping out
20:38there for a long time
20:39so yeah
20:40two things
20:41to probably take from that.
20:42Yeah
20:43Mitch Wilber
20:44he's got him
20:45in attack
20:46he didn't have
20:47a lot of ball
20:48in the first half
20:49but every time
20:50he got it
20:51there was something on
20:52so shaping up
20:53as a real good game
20:54tomorrow
20:55and the game
20:56at Wigan
20:57Tarry City vs Wigan
20:58the Bulls
20:59as I said
21:00a big win over
21:01Port City last week
21:02that ends their
21:03top five hopes
21:04I think
21:05for the year
21:06and I guess
21:07they call it
21:08the race to avoid
21:09last place
21:10so they'll be
21:11keen now
21:12for a big end
21:13of season
21:14and last year
21:15obviously
21:16the motivation
21:17for your club
21:18last year
21:19Paul
21:20not to finish last
21:21it was last year
21:22you guys
21:23and the Hawks
21:24were down the bottom
21:25and you managed
21:26to get ahead of them
21:27Yeah
21:28our motivation
21:29probably wasn't
21:30to avoid this
21:31but our motivation
21:32was to improve
21:33ourselves
21:34as a footy club
21:35and I'm 50 years old
21:36so
21:37I can never
21:38remember a time
21:39where I've had
21:40a first and reserve
21:41grade side
21:42that could only
21:43win two games
21:44between them
21:45all year
21:46and we saw
21:47that we need
21:48to improve
21:49and we have
21:50and our reserve
21:51grades cemented
21:52in the top three
21:53our first grade
21:54hopefully
21:55there's still
21:56opportunity
21:57to finish
21:58in the top three
21:59so you know
22:00it's a massive
22:01turnaround
22:02and if you had
22:03said to me
22:05but yeah
22:06look
22:07I think the whole
22:08comp's come a long
22:09way like
22:10Foster
22:11Foster
22:12themselves
22:13Robbie Payne
22:14down there
22:15has done a good
22:16job getting
22:17them together
22:18he's a good
22:19fella
22:20I've had a fair
22:21bit to do with
22:22him over
22:23some time
22:24and it's good
22:25to see them
22:26improving a lot
22:27and Tari
22:28like
22:29we had a
22:30draw with
22:31them
22:32and probably
22:33were lucky
22:34to have
22:35him as
22:36a coach
22:37and
22:38you know
22:39you've got
22:40to turn up
22:41every week
22:42otherwise
22:43you're going
22:44to get beat
22:45and Bo
22:46have you locked
22:47him in
22:48longish term
22:49as coach
22:50or
22:51yeah well
22:52we haven't
22:53got any
22:54more paper
22:55but we've
22:56already had
22:57discussions
22:58about Bo
22:59what's going
23:00to happen
23:01there
23:02and unfortunately
23:03you know
23:04what he's putting
23:05on
23:06he was the best
23:07player on the
23:08field
23:09and a beaten
23:10side on
23:11Saturday
23:12he's just
23:13given everything
23:14for the club
23:15and yeah
23:16really
23:17couldn't talk Bo
23:18up enough
23:19he's pretty
23:20late I don't
23:21know
23:22the only
23:23many
23:24that have
23:25launched this
23:26year
23:27the group
23:28has relaunched
23:29this year
23:30he's approximately
23:31a fairly
23:32you know
23:33effort
23:34effort
23:35effort
23:36effort
23:37effort
23:38and yeah
23:39that's how he
23:40plays
23:41he leads
23:42by example
23:43and the
23:44club's had
23:45such a wet
23:46year
23:47how's the
23:48ground
23:49holding up
23:50how's the
23:51ground
23:52yeah
23:53the ground
23:54is amazing
23:55it looks
23:56terrific
23:57yeah
23:58unfortunately
23:59we're not
24:00getting on
24:01yeah
24:02the Hastings
24:03league don't
24:04play there anymore
24:05which is good
24:06but
24:07yeah
24:08we're working
24:09with the
24:10junior league
24:11they've got
24:12that's probably
24:13our biggest
24:14concern moving
24:15forward
24:16for rugby
24:17league
24:18is that
24:19the junior
24:20league's got
24:21300 plus
24:22participants
24:23we've got
24:24five grades
24:25so
24:26to train
24:27out at
24:28Lamp Bay
24:29we're basically
24:30we've spoken
24:31to council
24:32about having
24:33a master plan
24:34for the area
24:35and it's
24:36something we
24:37need because
24:38rugby league
24:39keeps growing
24:40but our
24:41facilities
24:42keep shrinking
24:43yeah
24:44we'd
24:45like to
24:46see a semi
24:47final
24:48play
24:49there have
24:50been a
24:51couple
24:52of great
24:53grand finals
24:54there
24:55over the
24:56years
24:57in the
24:58Trent
24:59but
25:00we've
25:01got
25:02a bit
25:03of a
25:04bad
25:05rivalry
25:06in group
25:07two
25:08by the
25:09end
25:10of
25:111988
25:12you might
25:13have
25:14come
25:15last
25:16year
25:17and
25:18Richard
25:19Lorry
25:20coach
25:21had a
25:22pretty
25:23fair
25:24side
25:25he's
25:26quite
25:27coming
25:28into
25:29his
25:30probably
25:31second
