01:12Questioning Starlight's Loyalty, Nothing Like It in the World
01:15Talk about a tense elevator ride.
01:17After doubting Starlight's loyalty, Homelander corners the blonde heroine in a Vought Tower
01:22elevator.
01:28What follows is a claustrophobic and menacing questioning about her true allegiance.
01:37Along with a barrage of verbal abuse, Homelander grips Starlight's throat and digs at her
01:41abdomen with chilling intensity.
01:43With Starlight's fear palpable, Homelander's true anger simmers just beneath the surface,
01:48threatening to erupt at any moment.

03:08Homelander's Wrath isn't just contained to the live-action The Boys series.
03:34When The Boys presents Diabolical, an animated spin-off which runs parallel to the main series
03:39continuity, we get a glimpse of Homelander's origins.
03:47During a hostage situation at a chemical plant, Homelander's refusal to wait for backup,
03:52along with continual misjudgments, lead to a catastrophic failure.
03:59His lack of control and absolute fit of rage result in countless unnecessary deaths.

04:55Victoria Newman's protest, attempting to spin the execution positively.

05:08Luckily, however, the mass casualty carnage stayed in his head, although cracks in his

05:22Madeline Stilwell was one of Vought International's top-ranking execs.
05:26She was also one of the few people who could control Homelander.

05:32At least, she thought she was.
05:33Held hostage by Billy Butcher in hopes of angering Homelander, Madeline found herself
05:37in a lose-lose situation at the close of the boy's first season.

05:49You see, after learning that Madeline lied to him about the death of Becca and his son,
05:53an extremely angry Homelander went in for the kill himself, using his heat vision to

06:11the unhinged soup is capable of.

06:23Public execution of a protester.
06:25The instant white-hot wild.
06:27Remember earlier, when Homelander only daydreamed about killing protesters?
06:30Well, that wasn't the case this time around.
06:33The boy's season three finale ended in disturbing fashion, as Homelander introduced the world
06:38to his son Ryan outside of Vought.
06:40Alrighty, everyone.
06:43This little guy here is my son, Ryan.
06:50When a protester calls Homelander out, and subsequently hits Ryan with a projectile in
06:54the process, the super-dad lets go of all control.
06:58Yep, he lasers the civilian protester on the spot, in front of everyone.
07:03And with the crowd eventually erupting in applause, Homelander's left to make sense
07:07of the adoration he's receiving, giving us some mighty meme-worthy facial reactions
07:11in the process.
07:22Number three.
07:23I'm the real hero.
07:24The only man in the sky.
07:35Thanks to the news of Stormfront's death, a visibly rattled Homelander decides to go
07:39off script during his big televised birthday celebration.
07:54Following Starlight's praising of Homelander for his donation to her charity, the leader
07:58of the Seven grabs the microphone and shocks everyone by erupting in an epic tirade.
08:22He declares that he's finished with playing nice and following rules.
08:26Homelander will be no more apologizing and hiding his true self.
08:41Homelander fully rejects his public persona at this moment, and proclaims that he is a
08:45god among men, further telling the audience,

09:01Looking for the moment that cemented Homelander's capacity for cruelty?

09:05Faced with a hijacked plane, Homelander's I-beams send the aircraft into a freefall.
09:10Instead of, you know, saving lives, he instead decides to abandon all the innocent people

09:26Even as Maeve lists several ways they could save some passengers, like children, Homelander
