00:00Recently, North Korea crossed the border into the South.
00:03However, it wasn't with soldiers or military weaponry of some kind,
00:07but rather with these weather balloons, each of them carrying trash.
00:11This is the second time the DPRK has done this this year alone,
00:15saying they did it in response to South Korean activists sending balloons with leaflets to the North.
00:20However, South Korean authorities say this most recent round of trash carrying balloons caused a fire.
00:25The fire was started after one of the balloon groups landed on a roof.
00:29Though it's unclear what exactly ignited the debris.
00:31Firefighters in the area said they used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.
00:36No injuries were reported as a result of the balloon fire.
00:39However, this was not the only incident related to the North's delivery of trash.
00:43An official at the Korea Airports Corporation said recently
00:46that flights out of Seoul's Gimpo Airport were suspended due to the nearby balloon air traffic.
00:51Authorities say North Korea sent some 500 balloons southward.
00:56While a nuisance, neither these nor the previous round of balloons
00:59appeared to have contained any dangerous contaminants.
