00:00Good afternoon to everyone, we are certainly happy to welcome our friend Benjamin Netanyahu,
00:09who is of course the Prime Minister of the State of Israel.
00:12This is a very important time.
00:14Our bipartisan congressional leadership recognized it as such and invited him here
00:19because our dear ally Israel is in an existential fight for its very existence,
00:24and that fight extends to every one of its borders.
00:28Today the Israeli people are working to defeat Hamas,
00:31following of course the horrific massacre on October 7th.
00:35They're having to ward off Hezbollah in the north,
00:38they're having to respond to Houthi attacks in Tel Aviv,
00:41and they fended off a historic watershed direct attack from Iran itself,
00:46a regime that is allied with Russia and China.
00:50The threats Israel faces are not only kinetic.
00:54Jerusalem is also combating welfare and information wars
00:58and double standards from the UN and the media.
01:01Today and every day, Americans must stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel in its great struggle.
01:08In this struggle, nearly 300 days after October 7th,
01:13our hearts remain with the 120 men and women, boys and girls who are still in captivity in Gaza.
01:19Aidan, Il-Tai, Saji, Hirsch, Gadi, Judy, Omer, Keith, and so many others
01:27are being held deep in tunnels, and we have not forgotten them,
01:30or their families who so desperately want them home, and we of course do as well.
01:35Israel and the United States are united in our mission to bring them home,
01:39and I have full confidence that we will do just that.
01:42I have to say it's providential that the Prime Minister is here today after the 17th of Tammuz.
01:47It was nearly 2,000 years ago that the most powerful nation in the ancient world
01:52laid siege to Israel and destroyed Solomon's Temple.
01:55Today, the most powerful nation in the modern world
01:59is standing with our Jewish friends and the Israeli government.
02:03I'm certainly eager, as we all are, to hear from the Prime Minister,
02:07and as we hope that this 17th of Tammuz marks the last time that Jewish people lament destruction
02:13so that they can live freely and securely in their ancestral homeland.
02:17I would refer to the Prime Minister.
02:21Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
02:23Speaker Johnson, you have shown great leadership,
02:28along with the leaders of the Senate and the minority leaders of the House.
02:36I appreciate the fact that you've invited me to address this great assembly.
02:42It's the world's greatest democracy.
02:45The Congress of the United States speaks for the American people,
02:50and the American people speak for the entire world.
02:53I very much value this opportunity to address this august forum.
02:59You said just now something that resonates throughout the ages.
03:04Almost 2,000 years ago, the Romans breached the walls of Jerusalem.
03:09On this day, almost 2,000 years ago.
03:13Well, our enemies will not breach our walls today.
03:17And our wall is not made up only of our own soldiers, our brave heroes,
03:23but also the friendship and alliance with the people of the United States of America.
03:29That is very much expressed here today, and I thank you for giving me this opportunity.
03:35The people of Israel thank you for giving us this opportunity to express our common alliance.
03:40Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
03:42Thank you so much.
03:47Mr. Prime Minister, what's your message to Democrats who are not attending your speech today?
03:51Sir, what's your reaction to Democrats boycotting your speech?
03:55In service.
03:57Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister.
