00:00You have to be f***ing careful. Do not use emails, do not, like, just face-to-face or
00:10encrypted phones. Nothing else is safe. Just believe me. Please. Like, I can get everything
00:15I want within 24 hours. And if I can, they can too. I'm really worried. You have to be
00:22careful with communication. Everybody has to be careful with communication, like, extremely.
00:30Our creator, our founder, Dr. Ruja. I've been called a lot of things. And probably the
00:56best thing that the press called me was the biller. She was definitely a visionary. She's
01:03got this magnetism that just draws people in. Everybody was buying one coin. No other
01:10cryptocurrency has as many users as we do. Everything was geared to get more investment
01:17and we will spread this cryptocurrency around the world. It was very motivating. Oh my God,
01:22it's working. I'm going to end up making millions of dollars off this and I can do so much with
01:26my life. Are you pumped up? Are you fired up? Repeat after me. One coin. One coin. One coin. One coin.
01:36I knew people were falling for it. This thing's getting too big too quick.
01:40Hallo, Ruja, meine Liebe. Wir lieben One Coin!
01:46Etova found one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history, peddling a fake cryptocurrency
01:52to get everyday people all over the world to part with their hard-earned money, real money.
01:57Was ganz klar ist, dass es bei One Coin von Anfang an ein Betrug war.
02:04The cracks were starting to happen and that's why Ruja exited the stage left.
02:08She disappeared into thin air. She hasn't been seen or heard from since.
02:14One coin at anywhere between 4 and 16 billion. It's so much, no one really has a handle on it.
02:23This was carefully, carefully orchestrated. Did she disappear voluntarily?
02:29It's just an assumption. Do you believe in luck?
02:33Well, I always say fortune favors the brave.
02:44I'm a Bitcoin enthusiast. I love it. I've built a little bit of a collection here.
03:07I have an old Bitcoin magazine and a movie I co-produced.
03:12I have some friends in Africa who carved this in 2014.
03:16They use Bitcoin over there all the time in many of the areas in Africa.
03:20And then I have one of my favorite art pieces right here.
03:23And if you look at it through this app right here, it has like a hidden AI
03:30that reveals when the fiat money goes away, the Bitcoin stays forever.
03:35Can't be confiscated or inflated. So that's pretty cool.
03:41My name is Tim Curry. I'm also known as Timtation online.
03:45I discovered Bitcoin in early 2013 and I thought that it would be a great experiment
03:51and I wanted to participate in it.
03:58In the 2008 financial crisis, we saw banks that were leveraging their monies in highly risky assets.
04:09People were on pins and needles when they entered the building
04:11and they were like, uh-oh, what's going to happen? How many shoes are going to drop today?
04:15The market crash and the value of money fell through the floor and just kept declining and declining.
04:21And so saving your money has been disincentivized because of what happened.
04:28Banks got bailed out! We got bailed out!
04:32If these guys understood that working people are suffering as well,
04:37then it would be different, but they just don't get it.
04:39When I first began studying Bitcoin, the more it opened up my mind to this decentralized financial system.
04:48You can't put it in your wallet. Your computer makes it and it trades like a stock. It's called Bitcoin.
04:55It's not an electronic credit card. It's not an electronic check. It's really electronic cash.
05:00You put some of your money, real money, online and it turns into Bitcoin, virtual money,
05:06which you can then use to buy things online. Have you got that?
05:09It's really catching on because people are getting a little tired of these central banks.
05:12The value of them have skyrocketed in the last few weeks.
05:15I mean, to the point where they're more valuable than almost every currency out there.
05:20Taking back the power of our money, wow, this can change the world. And they were right.
05:29So everybody bought into the Bitcoin story because everybody wants to spend a dollar and win a million.
05:36That's the attraction.
05:39I made two million dollars in 10 months with Bitcoin.
05:43I would say I have quite an expensive pace. Gucci, Louboutin.
05:48Today, I'm getting my first Bitcoin.
05:51I feel super grateful for the life that I inherit because I have never dreamed three years ago to have a life like this.
05:57Bitcoin was basically the holy grail for me to elevate to another level.
06:06Bitcoin is money for the people. Money of free will.
06:10It's a way of life.
06:11Bitcoin is money for the people. Money of free will.
06:14But Bitcoin's got a problem here.
06:16Not just myself, but the average person didn't fully understand how this really works.
06:20I knew it was 1,200 bucks a coin. That was it.
06:23I didn't understand blockchain or anything like that.
06:26At that point, I'm thinking, how is adoption supposed to happen?
06:29I'm thinking, well, it can't.
06:31I'm like, hey, but one coin.
06:34Bitcoin is money for the people.
06:36Money of free will.
06:39One coin.
06:40Bitcoin shows us the way, but the best is still to come.
06:44Already expanding into a worldwide mining network and creating history again in the cryptocurrency industry.
06:51One coin is aiming for the skies.
06:56I heard of it in March 28th of 2015 when someone over Facebook had contacted me and said,
07:07I noticed you're into Bitcoin and there's this great founder, a double doctorate and 200 plus IQ and stuff.
07:13And that this cryptocurrency, one coin, would be the next Bitcoin.
07:19Saying how in six months time, this is going to be worth five times what it was.
07:25Or ten times what it was.
07:26Or you better get in now.
07:28Then I'm like, okay, but what is one coin and how does it work?
07:37Well, I'm Tommi Vuorinen, coming from Finland.
07:41I'm like a former athlete.
07:43I was in our national team as a long jumper back 1990s.
07:49After that, then I started to make caricatures, funny faces, big head, small body.
07:56And did this 18 years in a row.
08:01And then after that, I got a phone call concerning about this one coin.
08:06One in one world.
08:09The first cryptocurrency that is easy to mine, easy to trade and easy to use.
08:16No complicated hardware or in-depth knowledge necessary to start.
08:21And I didn't understand much about Bitcoin.
08:25And I didn't understand much about cryptocurrency at that time.
08:28So I told to the man who introduced this thing to me,
08:32I will do nothing before I meet the owner.
08:39I met Ruzsa in Helsinki, Finland, 27th of September, 2014.
08:44She was kind of, you can say, very sharp.
08:49But also a very smart person.
08:52Very sharp, but also a bit, how I say, mathematical or technical person.
08:58I really started to like her quite fast when we met.
09:03After that meeting, I was invited to business woman of the year gala here in Sofia.
09:10400 VIP people there, red carpet.
09:14Ruzsa got the first prize from the mayor of the Sofia at that time.
09:20We really created this company and our currency two months ago.
09:25One coin is the name of the better Bitcoin.
09:29So please remember this.
09:31As a woman in business, I would like to say a quote.
09:34It's Marilyn Monroe, I think.
09:36She said, it's a man's man's world outside.
09:39But I love being a woman here.
09:41Thank you very much.
09:44Ruzsa's vision was to build a global, usable cryptocurrency.
09:50It means that it's all about helping each other, helping people.
09:56Clearly, a new era is born in digital currency.
09:59And the world is changing.
10:01The world is changing.
10:03And the world is changing.
10:05And the world is changing.
10:07And the world is changing.
10:09And the world is changing.
10:11A new era is born in digital currencies.
10:14And today, you have the unique chance to participate in this success
10:18through a new currency called OneCoin.
10:21We sell education, financial educational modules.
10:25OneCoin will be introduced through our education program
10:29where you learn about trading strategies
10:31and how to profit from trading with cryptocurrency.
10:34And together with this education, they got also tokens.
10:38These tokens will give you the possibility for trading in on our exchange
10:42with thousands of other members.
10:44Practice your skills and let you profit from what you have learned
10:47through our OneAcademy program.
10:50And with tokens, they got their OneCoin at that time.
10:54The OneTokens can be exchanged once you feel proficient enough
10:58to start trading with cryptocurrency.
11:01You educate them, help them to get people in,
11:04to help them to get people in, and so on, so on, so on.
11:07So there I really understood that this is something else.
11:10I started to be more and more interested.
11:14I was amongst first 300 in whole world when I joined.
11:19It's the face of OneCoin, founder of the company, Ruja Ignotova.
11:29How many of you have lost bitcoins?
11:33Again, all of us.
11:35Retracing the steps of a multi-million pound mistake.
11:39When James Howells brought his old computer hard drive to this dump in the summer,
11:44he had no idea he was binning a fortune.
11:48He'd forgotten it contained 7,500 bitcoins,
11:52a virtual currency which is now worth serious hard cash.
11:57It was a penny-dropping moment.
11:59And yeah, it was a sinking feeling.
12:02What have you done?
12:04You cannot lose OneCoins unless you lose your computer,
12:08your passwords and everything, and even then we can help you.
12:12The second thing why I believe that OneCoin has a huge advantage,
12:17we are not an anonymous currency like Bitcoin.
12:20If you are anonymous, you give individuals the opportunity
12:23for money laundering and for bad things.
12:25The terrorists and the ransomware scammers
12:29and the consumer scammers and the rogue nations,
12:32North Korea that is financing about half of its nuclear missile program with crypto,
12:38understand a defense that says,
12:41no, no, we've got to make sure that there is a place for those guys to lay caught.
12:46This is something that we do not want to do with OneCoin.
12:50We do this to show that we are a legit business.
12:53So this is my mission for this year.
12:55OneCoin needs to become visible in the financial world
12:58and so we are at the beginning of a very, very exciting journey.
13:02Thank you very much.
13:33BULGARIA
13:52Ruzha was a very good friend of mine.
13:54One day she said to me, come here, I'll show you what I bought.
13:57And she showed me the Russian club in Bulgaria,
14:00which is an exceptional building with history, an architectural monument.
14:04This is what I was like from my first trips.
14:07And she said, I bought a rose.
14:09I said, a rose? How?
14:11And then someone told me that it cost 8 million,
14:14I don't remember if it was a lion or a euro.
14:16And she said, we have to make a discovery of the Russian club.
14:19We talked, we sat down for lunch
14:21and we made a famous party for which I still remember.
14:28BULGARIA
14:38This building is the reason I got interested into OneCoin.
14:43Back in 2015, I learned from sources
14:46that this building has been sold to a mysterious woman.
14:50Nobody had heard about her.
14:52Nobody knew what she was doing exactly.
14:55And the price tag was 4.2 million euro,
15:00which was what, like, wow, huge sum.
15:03I'm Nikolai Stoyanov.
15:05I'm a journalist with Capital Weekly,
15:08a newspaper in Sofia, Bulgaria.
15:12We are a business edition,
15:14people who are wealthy enough to spend millions.
15:18There are no traces of mortgage or bank loan or something like that,
15:23which, OK, it's a huge amount of money for some start-up.
15:29And I started looking into her business.
15:33The only thing we knew is some cryptocurrency business
15:37is buying this property.
15:39And we had never heard of her.
15:42I started looking into OneCoin and who is Dr Ruzsa Persona?
15:49I never imagined it would be something big.
15:54Ruzsa is born in 1980 in northern Bulgaria.
16:01At this time, Bulgaria was a country.
16:05When the Berlin Wall fell down and Bulgaria too,
16:10there was a wave of unemployment
16:13and a lot of people started emigrating.
16:16Ruzsa's family were this huge wave of emigrants
16:21who went to life and went to Germany.
16:51What do they want from us?
16:53They take our jobs away.
16:55This atmosphere was already there.
16:58As an underdog, getting into a society like that is difficult.
17:03And that underdogs have particularly strong elbows
17:09to fight their way through is nothing new.
17:14Ruth entered the third grade as a nine-year-old.
17:17She learned German very quickly at school
17:21and then switched to the fifth grade.
17:24So she skipped a class, which was quite amazing.
17:29It probably looked very similar here
17:31when Ruzsa went to school here.
17:34And here in this classroom she probably had German lessons.
17:40I talked to a lot of people who went to school with her.
17:44And they all said, because she was smart and clever
17:47and very ambitious, she should get a degree.
17:51And then she writes,
17:53Law degree in Heidelberg.
17:55Then I will be an incredibly successful lawyer.
17:59I will marry a rich man.
18:01I will spend the rest of my life on one of his,
18:04my, Caribbean islands.
18:07So she already had big dreams there.
18:10She studied as quickly as possible
18:12and then graduated and went to Oxford.
18:15She always wanted to do something special.
18:18She always wanted to prove something.
18:23After she graduated, she was always generating ideas
18:26of how to get rich.
18:28I was working for McKinsey.
18:30I was quite frustrated, because I felt somehow
18:32everything got invented.
18:34You know, Facebook, it was invented.
18:36Google, the Internet, all these cool things, you know,
18:38where people come from zero to hero, were all there.
18:41And there was nothing left somehow.
18:43I was looking at Bitcoin, and this was actually
18:45an opportunity that I saw, and I got excited about it
18:48once I started thinking where the opportunities are.
18:51We have 2 billion people who are currently not banked.
18:54These people don't sit on the table like we are.
18:57You know, we can go and buy a nice dress out there,
19:00we can do a money transfer, whatever,
19:02but these 2 billion people cannot.
19:04If we use cryptocurrency to bring these people in,
19:07then we have created something amazing.
19:12CHEERING
19:20She was thinking that the most positive impact
19:23would be these 100,000 members during the first year.
19:27But it exploded, and we got a billion.
19:30CHEERING
19:34The company made the first billion
19:36during the first 10 months.
19:38CHEERING
19:41It takes a man so little time to do so many things.
19:45Since she is Zodiac Twins, I believe in Zodiacs,
19:48I myself am a Zodiac Twin,
19:50and I know how combinative we can be.
19:53From the qualities or shortcomings people think there are,
19:56she brought out the best so that these people can be impressed.
20:00When I look at a company, it's all about I look at who the owner is,
20:04and that's why I absolutely fell in love with OneCoin,
20:07is really because of Dr Ruja.
20:10She is really brilliant, you know, well-educated.
20:14I like the way she's very honest and very direct,
20:18and I feel very good about her at OneCoin.
20:21She was sending me pictures from Hong Kong and other countries
20:25where she was talking to more than 500 people
20:28in extremely green and dirty clothes,
20:31and even we were wondering, I said,
20:34Ruja, what do you do? What do you sell to these people?
20:38She was presenting the way of life.
20:41You want to be like me, to go to parties,
20:45to have luxury around you.
20:48This is the train you have to catch.
20:51She was not simply offering an investment,
20:54she was offering herself a way of being something like a copy of Ruja.
20:59How does it feel, a Super Boss lady,
21:02I do not believe, actually, that women are soft in business.
21:05That's why people are very focused,
21:07and I believe that women are so communicative
21:10and so eager to change the world in a good way.
21:13They think only about money.
21:15They think about the bigger vision,
21:17and I really believe that they can join us
21:19and they can do very, very good things.
21:21Powerful.
21:23Beautiful.
21:25Smart.
21:27You know, it's like,
21:30smart.
21:32From Bulgaria, from Sofia.
21:35My grandfather was born in Sofia.
22:00My name is Esther.
22:02I'm an artist, a singer, used to be a...
22:05and also I participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1978.
22:18And we won.
22:25I never stop.
22:28When my voice stops, then I will stop.
22:30But right now my voice is still there for me, thank God.
22:35I was married, but my husband unfortunately became sick,
22:40and I took care of him about 23 years.
22:44He had MS.
22:46Eventually he passed in 2016.
22:50He left me some life insurance.
22:53Not a lot, but a lot for me.
22:55And...
22:58my lovely son, God bless him, got me into cryptocurrency.
23:03And then he told me about OneCoin and about Dr. Ruja.
23:07My first impression of Ruja
23:10was she seemed like she has a good heart,
23:12like she wants people to win to really help people.
23:15She was very good at the way she expressed herself.
23:17She was very smart.
23:19Actually a genius.
23:21So I thought to myself, if I don't get involved with this,
23:24this could be the worst decision I've ever made of not doing it.
23:28So I'm like, you know what?
23:30You can make a lot of money and help a lot of people.
23:32Everybody wins. Sounds good to me.
23:34We need to take some money from the life insurance policy,
23:38and we need to put it in this.
23:43We got the biggest package you could.
23:45Triple Combo, I think was the name of it.
23:47It was like $55,000.
23:49The first thing that would happen is you see your tokens in there,
23:53and then you can tokens and actually put them into mining.
23:56And so that's what I did.
23:59As more and more coins were being mined,
24:02that was creating, as far as I knew, demand.
24:05And that's what was causing the price to go up.
24:09I'm actually seeing it on my screen,
24:11this wealth being created before my eyes,
24:13and eventually it comes to fruition.
24:15What if we can do more?
24:17Because I'm going to end up making millions of dollars off this,
24:19and I can do so much. I can really do good things.
24:22I wanted to have this money so I can start helping my sisters
24:26and, you know, people that I loved in my life that struggle.
24:30We ended up with a total of $155,000 or something around there.
24:35We bought three Triple Combos.
24:38Number two in market capitalization, the currency market.
24:42And we mined over 400 million coins together.
24:46She was so believable, you know?
24:49I believe that she had good intentions, at least at the beginning.
24:54And now after we achieved so many things together,
24:58I will be very honest with you.
25:00Whatever I do, to make it big,
25:03I want to make it extremely successful.
25:06And I want to see this coin in one year
25:09to be the number one coin on the market.
25:11Yes!
25:35Hi, everybody. This is Wes Green with your 001 Master Distributor of OneCoin.
25:40You as a leader, you as a distributor,
25:44can really change your life,
25:48can change your people's lives,
25:51and this is what we are doing.
25:53So thanks to you, you've taken the right decision.
25:57You, me, the company, we will change the world.
26:02Thank you very much.
26:03Sebastian, personally for me,
26:06the first meeting in Finland back then, 2014, I met him there.
26:11He was very humble and very polite and so on, so on.
26:15To describe in three to five words is not that easy,
26:19but I would say that I am very dedicated, hardworking,
26:23and I'm passionate for building people.
26:27That explains actually who I am.
26:29But I know that Ruja met Sebastian before
26:33to be part of OneCoin in the beginning.
26:37The idea was how to bring a good concept,
26:40an interesting concept out to the people.
26:43And there I have a personal friend.
26:47His name is Sebastian Greenwood,
26:49who has been active in network marketing for quite a while.
26:53She needed someone from network marketing to build the business world.
26:59Bitcoin is a kind of a network
27:01and started by geeks talking to each other.
27:04But we were using this concept
27:06of real professional network marketers,
27:09because otherwise this crypto would never work.
27:13We are the monsters of the VIPs.
27:16Be on the red tables, okay?
27:21Multi-level way to make business.
27:25Now let's go to a little town in New Jersey
27:28where things are really popping.
27:30Yes, there's a party going on at Martin's house.
27:32It's a Tupperware party. It's fun.
27:35So multi-level marketing is a way of selling products.
27:39So one of the best known multi-level marketing programs
27:43is Tupperware going to Tupperware parties,
27:45selling to friends and family.
27:47There's a demonstration by one of the Tupperware dealers
27:49who lives in your community.
27:51Watch her show the way to use Tupperware's patented seats.
27:54So you host a party and some of them like the Tupperware,
27:56some of them don't.
27:57But there's an extra opportunity.
27:59You'll be able to earn a small commission or a large commission
28:02from other people who are selling too.
28:05Also given for past achievements.
28:11National sales and recruiting contests
28:13provide the opportunity to earn exciting gifts.
28:17And I personally want to congratulate all of you
28:21for a great achievement
28:23because one of you, or maybe several of you,
28:27will go to the very top.
28:31We want to see you achieve, of course,
28:34a crown division.
28:36You get to make money by not just selling a product,
28:39but you're helping your friends and family
28:41and wider co-workers get really rich.
28:44So it's an easy sell.
28:46So when they bring in more people
28:48and those people bring in more people,
28:50you have money going back up the pyramid
28:52all the way to the top
28:53with small amounts spliced off at each level.
29:00And with things like the internet and social media,
29:02these things can happen so much faster today
29:06than they could back in the 60s in Tupperware.
29:11When you ask me these questions about the blockchain
29:13and all these difficult questions here,
29:18that's not fancy.
29:19It's really, really simple.
29:20Everybody starts off at the same level
29:22and they have a chance to work their way up to the top.
29:24I have ways. Trust the process.
29:27Your main goal here today is to help others.
29:32Grow the community. Build the business.
29:35Grow the community. Build the business.
29:39This commission base, when I make the sale to you,
29:42I get paid a commission on top of the sale.
29:44So the bigger your team grow,
29:46the bigger your income happens to be.
29:48Why? Because your team represents
29:50the amount of new customers
29:52who are driving to this new product.
29:54So in other words, by introducing others.
30:07I'm Leila.
30:08I work for the NHS as planning manager.
30:11I'm also a life coach,
30:12so I provide support to people that have mental health issues,
30:16loss of esteem.
30:18I had something which literally took 20 years to save up.
30:22The main priority was to buy a house after my father's death
30:25so I can secure my brother and my mom,
30:28who's a widow, and my brother who has, you know, learning needs.
30:31And that's when I got introduced to OneCoin
30:34by a family friend that I had known for over 12 years.
30:38He actually sent all group of us a WhatsApp text message,
30:42you know, about the educational packages
30:44and go to the event.
30:47So lots of other Safi Muslim,
30:50lots of women wearing headscarves,
30:52and at the event, they were using a certificate saying
30:56OneCoin cryptocurrency is a product
30:58that legally approved Islamic Financial Board
31:02and is Sharia compliant.
31:06My friend said, Leila, in the name of God,
31:08say bismillah, go in.
31:10It is legit. I want to help you.
31:13He told me to invest a minimum £6,900 for a currency packet,
31:19which will give me over £18,000.
31:22I didn't have a reason to doubt.
31:25People were buying these packages,
31:27and of course those people who were, like, top leaders,
31:34they got commissions from those people who bought those packages.
31:38So recruiting a lot of people,
31:40put a lot of money to themselves fast,
31:42and people are greedy.
31:44So they wanted to have as much as possible.
31:47So a lot of people made money.
31:49They made millions.
31:51OneCoin is the latest, most amazing product
31:54OneCoin has to offer you.
31:55You know and I know that the coin value
31:58is the most important part of our business.
32:03Whatever the money you invested,
32:05you just keep it safe in the safe,
32:07and you just calculate the interest.
32:09You can get that nowhere.
32:11There's no bank on this planet
32:13where you get that interest.
32:15By saving money, you can make even more money.
32:18Save money, money.
32:19Hello Russia, my love.
32:21We love OneCoin!
32:27Come on!
32:30Hey brother!
32:32Hey!
32:33Come on!
32:36How are you today?
32:40Of course we're 2 million.
32:42But if 2 million people invite 2 people...
32:46You are on the good way to financial freedom.
32:49Now you're going to make some money as well.
32:52Talk to people about why OneCoin
32:56is the only cryptocurrency
32:59that's going to be number one.
33:02We believed from the beginning
33:04it would be the future of payments.
33:06If we want to do transactions,
33:07we have to be also in Africa,
33:08we have to be in India,
33:09we have to be in Latin America.
33:11We are...
33:12OneCoin!
33:14We are...
33:15OneCoin!
33:17We are...
33:18OneCoin!
33:19That's the correct answer!
33:26I remember me and my father sitting down,
33:29looking at beautiful houses around Kampala Hills.
33:35It was a lot of dream, traveling and all that.
33:38Basically OneCoin promised a lot
33:41and gave us a lot of hope.
33:46My name is Daniel Einhart.
33:48We are a family of seven,
33:51five boys, my father.
33:54We are railing goats
33:57and work in the banana plantation,
34:00doing some potteries, cassava, everything.
34:06You can just eat what you can afford
34:11but not what you want.
34:13So it's just a fair life, not a decent one.
34:19I got introduced to OneCoin in 2016
34:25and it was our friend that came
34:29looking all good, beautiful, putting on expensive clothes.
34:34We just believed her appearance
34:38and thought she was doing the business that we wanted to do.
34:42At the OneCoin offices, we are told our friends,
34:46our neighbors and people are good
34:49because OneCoin was a good business
34:52and so we wanted to be rich
34:54and also the society around us rich.
34:59Ruja Ignatova was like a queen,
35:01very intelligent, very connected to everyone.
35:05She looked expensive.
35:07She was always putting on beautiful gowns
35:11and the beautiful red lipstick.
35:14And then her biography, it was really amazing.
35:18All that made us believe in Ruja Ignatova.
35:24Then I sold off my three goats back in the village.
35:28I remember we are farmers and I bought the starter package.
35:32Because I was in very good terms with my uncle,
35:35I told him that, you know what,
35:37you should not miss out on this opportunity
35:40to be part of the cryptocurrency world.
35:45And he bought the idea.
35:47He invested in several times
35:49and I also made a 10% commission from the money.
35:54So by spreading good news of OneCoin to people,
35:57it was also very possible for you to make some good living.
36:06We could log in into our OneCoin accounts.
36:09You could see how many coins you have.
36:12You could see the value growing.
36:15It was all amazing.
36:18I'm like, OK, so I invested 6,900.
36:20I can see, you know, 12,000, 13,000, money's maturing.
36:23Oh, my God, it's working.
36:25So if you want to become a coin millionaire, you can't do it alone.
36:29Talk to people and become a millionaire.
36:33Everybody was buying OneCoins.
36:36The best thing that the press called me was the Bitcoin killer.
36:43Thank you.
36:56OneCoin.com
37:06While I was conversing with this guy at that time,
37:09OneCoin was only about six or eight months old
37:12and it was apparent from their website,
37:15written by someone who was not knowledgeable in cryptocurrency,
37:18yet that's what they're selling, that's what they're promoting,
37:21that's what they're embracing and that's what they're passionate about.
37:24At that time, they had multiple packages
37:27that ranged up to like a 5,000-euro tycoon package.
37:31And there was education, supposedly, that came across with these packages.
37:37And I found out that you can actually access,
37:40with just a simple web link, these education packages.
37:43So that tells me something probably about the cryptocurrency OneCoin itself.
37:48If you can access these 5,000-euro packages
37:52just by having the web link,
37:55there's trouble that's happening.
37:58They didn't even offer a payment in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
38:01And that was just absurd.
38:03To have a... that didn't accept Bitcoin or cryptocurrency,
38:09it was very clear that this was not something to be trusted.
38:16And then I started seeing OneCoin pop up more and more in Facebook feeds.
38:21And people would be talking about OneCoin
38:23and there's this, you know, picture of Ruja
38:25and there's these quotes or whatever.
38:29Then one day, they announced that OneCoin was coming to the USA.
38:35Huh. I wonder what that would be like.
38:37I would like to see these people in person
38:40and see what the hell this is all about.
38:42Get in my car. I drive up the 5 freeway,
38:44an hour away of the outskirts of Los Angeles.
38:47And I pull up on some sort of an office facility
38:50that someone had turned into like a little mini church
38:53that was apparently being rented out, you know, for this event.
38:59It was not very grandiose whatsoever.
39:01There was a little tiny stage up in the front.
39:04How many of you missed the Bitcoin event?
39:07This guy I recognized as someone who was a prominent promoter in the US of OneCoin
39:12saying how Bitcoin is super difficult and it's made for nerds.
39:16You know how it's how Bitcoin is too technical
39:18and OneCoin has come along in order to make everything easy and payments easy.
39:23And it's going to put you into a financial freedom for your lives.
39:28There is an intermission.
39:29And I don't know if you've ever heard of it,
39:31but there is an intermission.
39:34There is an intermission.
39:36And I went up to question him and I said,
39:38so can you answer this for me?
39:40Because it's supposed to be, by the way,
39:41crypto education is what these packages were supposed to be about.
39:45What is OneCoin mining?
39:46How do you, how does the blockchain work?
39:48How did, how are the coins created?
39:50Stuff like this.
39:51And he's like,
39:54you don't need to understand how the technology works.
39:57So you don't need to know how email works.
39:59OneCoin takes care of all of that.
40:01In order to mine, all you have to do is push a button.
40:04And I'm like, whoa, what is going on?
40:09It was very clear that these people didn't know what they were talking about.
40:13Now it's the intermission time, right?
40:14Everything goes silent.
40:15The lights dim.
40:16All of a sudden it comes on.
40:17I think it's like, I had the tiger or something.
40:20This guy comes on in the mic and he's just like,
40:22who's here as a winner?
40:23Who's here as a winner?
40:24Do you want to change your lives?
40:25Because that's what we're going to do.
40:26We're going to break through.
40:29Breakthrough time.
40:30Breakthrough time.
40:31We're going to have a breakthrough.
40:32That's what he's going to do.
40:33He's going to use Dr. Breakthrough.
40:36And I'm sitting back there and people are like on the edge of their seat.
40:39And he's like, we're going to change your lives.
40:41And we're going to smash the old norms.
40:48It's marketing.
40:49Every company does marketing.
40:50You know, that's how it works.
40:52But this is just so absurd.
40:55This is so weird.
40:56So weird.
40:58It's unbelievable, but people were just lapping it up.
41:01And it got worse online.
41:03There was more people posting.
41:04It was growing exponentially.
41:06And then I watched this video of her in Dubai on a massive stage.
41:11There's probably 5,000 people in the audience.
41:14For us, it is extremely important to become visible on the market
41:18and to make people trust us.
41:21We all know it's a very bad world outside.
41:25So what we did in the last month is we hired her to audit our blockchain.
41:33So let's welcome, again, Dian.
41:36And he will explain and tell you everything about the audit, about our blockchain.
41:41Whatever you always wanted to know about this.
41:43Thank you very much.
41:46And I'm like, what in the hell?
41:48The entire purpose of a blockchain is that it's self-auditing.
41:52It's auditing of an entire network every 10 minutes.
41:55For other cryptocurrencies, perhaps every few seconds.
41:59What gives cryptocurrency its realness or its physicality is it being on a blockchain.
42:04A blockchain is just a ledger that is public to view.
42:09Anyone can go to a website and download it and store it on their computer.
42:13And anyone can look at it and see it and be like, okay, chain of blocks.
42:17That is mathematical.
42:19You can't go back and you can't erase anything or change anything.
42:22Coin, you were never allowed to see it. It was private.
42:27You can't verify anything. You can't see your transactions.
42:30You can't know that if you send coins to a friend or a merchant that they received them or not.
42:39If it's centralized, it really is just a database. It's just a glorified Excel spreadsheet.
42:44And this is like antithetic to blockchain.
42:48And I believe OneCoin is maybe the first one that is a client of an auditing company in order to verify their transaction.
42:58I didn't understand much about blockchain. I'm like, you know what, this is not important.
43:03What they told us in the office, that is what goes with it.
43:07I thought everything was okay.
43:10I mean, you have so many people that put in money and they were a lot smarter than me too.
43:14I mean, people in their 40s or 50s or 60s. I'm 22 at the time. What do I know?
43:19An auditor audits every month that all transactions that are done are really in the blockchain.
43:25And that all coins mined are really also recorded in the blockchain.
43:29There was no way of proving transactions or balance or anything. It wasn't open.
43:33No one knew what was what.
43:35But at that point I knew that one massive fake cryptocurrency, the victims of OneCoin didn't realize they were victims.
43:44She's going to rule. And that was the moment that I got the most pissed off and just was committed to just attack people and exposing them.
43:55We want to make this the biggest cryptocurrency ever.
43:59With over 3 million users, we are bigger than anyone out there.
44:03And now I think the time has come that we ought to show the world who we are, how big we are and what the huge potential of OneCoin is.
44:33Queen continues here tomorrow night at 10 or you can stream all episodes right now with Channel 4.
44:39Up next is one of only 50 women on death row.
