00:01Yeah.
00:02Yeah.
00:03Thanks.
00:04Donald Trump's confirmed that Netanyahu is going to go to Mar-a-Lago tomorrow.
00:10Do you have any concerns that this meeting is happening ahead of his Congress address
00:15and also meeting with the President, and have one more after that?
00:21I don't.
00:22Look, obviously, we have one president at a time, and I think it's always important
00:25that everyone remember that.
00:26But at the same time, it's fairly common that heads of state and heads of government
00:32in foreign countries meet with political parties while they're here in the United States and
00:36meet with nominees for president while they're here in the United States, and we do the same
00:40thing.
00:41The Secretary has met with opposition leaders and opposition candidates a number of times
00:45in his visits around the world, so that in itself is a fairly routine event, both on
00:51behalf of other countries and on behalf of the United States.
00:54And one, just going back to the region, there's a report about this – it's described as
00:58a secret meeting with the UAE about the Gaza Day After Plan, and the report – the reporting
01:06is that State Department Counselor Tom Sullivan attended.
01:09Can you confirm whether that meeting took place?
01:11And if yes, whether you can give us any more information about it?
01:16So that did – meeting did take place.
01:18Tom Sullivan was in the UAE at the end of last week to advance our plans around a ceasefire
01:24and advance our plans around the day after.
01:27But as often happens – I know people portray these meetings as secret, but oftentimes these
01:33meetings involve pretty delicate, sensitive discussions and sensitive negotiations, and
01:39there's a reason we don't make the topics of those discussions public, and I think I
01:44will decline to do so here.
01:46Just one more, because there's an op-ed coming from the Emiratis as well.
01:51Their special envoy wrote about this.
01:55She said that the plan involves deploying a temporary international mission to Gaza.
02:02Can you comment at all on whether that's accurate or –
02:05No, I have not read the op-ed that you're referring to.
02:09Obviously, we have been in discussions with our partners about what security inside Gaza
02:14would look like both during a ceasefire and at the end of the conflict, but I don't
02:20want to comment on the particulars of those discussions from here.
02:23Just a follow-up on that?
02:25Yeah, go ahead.
