Pro-Palestinian Jewish demonstrators on Tuesday (July 23) staged a protest inside Capitol Hill's cannon building rotunda, ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address at joint meeting of Congress.

00:16Around 230 anonymous Capitol Hill staffers from 122 offices signed a letter made public
00:22last week urging their bosses to either protest or boycott the July 24 address to Congress
00:28by Netanyahu, against whom the International Criminal Court Prosecutor's Office recently
00:33requested an arrest warrant over war crimes.
00:36And we're here to say that we don't want our tax dollars funding genocide.
00:43We are willing to put our bodies on the line to say that our Jewish values and our values
00:48as people mean that we cannot be funding this.
00:51I'm a Jewish American.
01:00My grandparents survived the Holocaust.
01:03And growing up, I was always told that we should never let anything like the Holocaust
01:07happen again.
01:08That's why I'm here today protesting the genocide of the Palestinian people and calling on our
01:14government to enact an arms embargo on Israel and send no more weapons to the Israeli military.
01:20The U.S. has seen months of protests from pro-Palestinian groups and college students
01:25over U.S. support for Israel amid its war in Gaza that has killed nearly 39,000 Palestinians
01:32while displacing nearly all its 2.3 million population and causing a hunger crisis.
01:38Biden has recently supported talks for a ceasefire but has continued military support for Israel.
