00:00Well, the opening ceremony to the Olympics in Paris just got bigger in probably the biggest
00:08way it could because we found out that they have hired Celine Dion to perform during the
00:15opening ceremony there in Paris on Friday night.
00:18It is going to be...
00:20This is such a big deal.
00:23You know she has been suffering from stiff person syndrome for several years now.
00:28It has been debilitating.
00:30If anybody has watched her documentary, I Am Celine Dion, you see the agony she's gone
00:38through, the fact that she was unable to sing the way she did, how frustrating it was, but
00:44how determined she was.
00:46Well, she's going to do it on Friday night.
00:48And also, by the way, speaking of her health, we're told that she's been feeling fine, which
00:52is absolutely remarkable considering the journey she's been going through.
00:56And the Olympics is footing the bill to make sure that she feels absolutely comfortable
00:59during her time there and her performance, which, by the way, we're being told she's
01:04getting $2 million for her performance, which consists of only one song.
01:10And they're paying for all the other bells and whistles for her flights, her boats, her
01:15large family is going to be coming in, and obviously there's other expenses.
01:19So this is definitely going to be a big ticket for the Olympics and totally makes sense.
01:26Well, and for the Olympics, this is the person you need to be performing there.
01:32By the way.
01:33Because of the French connection.
01:34Exactly.
01:35The French connection.
01:36And we don't know yet what song she's performing, but I imagine there's going to be some French
01:42mixed cheese.
01:43Yeah, I do know something about this.
01:45She has kept this really within a very tight circle in terms of what she's going to sing.
01:52There are people in her camp who don't know.
01:56She's really keeping this under wraps.
01:59And everything we've told you so far is fact.
02:02Now I'm going to tell you the buzz, different from fact.
02:06There is a buzz that it might be a song in French, although we're not positive about
02:11that.
02:12But that's kind of going around.
02:14Well, the excitement has been building in Paris.
02:16She touched down in Paris on Monday.
02:20And everyone, I'm sure, thought, well, at the very least, she's going to the Olympics
02:24and that she'll be attending.
02:26She had actually said recently in an interview that part of her recovery and that she wanted
02:32to get better, she wanted to go back to Paris.
02:34She wanted to see the Eiffel Tower.
02:38Now she will have a-
02:39Because the opening ceremony is by the Seine.
02:41Right.
02:42And she very well might be performing right in front of the Eiffel Tower.
02:45It is going to be a moment.
02:47This is, to borrow an old NBC phrase that I'm sure they would like to bring back for
02:52this-
02:53Do you believe?
02:54No, it's a must-see.
02:55Oh, it is so must-see TV.
02:58The opening ceremony is always something that people always tune in for parts of it here
03:03and there.
03:04I think they know they have now a worldwide audience because that's Celine's audience.
03:07When you hear how her purpose in life is to sing and how frustrated she was, especially
03:16when she's in front of that microphone at the end of this documentary where she just
03:20can't deliver.
03:21The fact that she's going to do it is so spectacular and so fulfilling for her that it just opens
03:30your heart.
03:31Hey, everyone.
03:32I'm AMG Bizzle down here in Atlanta, Georgia, and I am so excited to see Celine Dion hit
03:38the stage.
03:39Like you all said, if you have watched the documentary, just to see her push through
03:43and we're finally getting it at the opening ceremony at all places.
03:46And if I could sing a song, baby, and get two mils for it, I'm there all the way.
03:51Yeah, no kidding.
03:52I'm tuned in.
03:53I feel like the world will be tuned in.
03:54Yep.
03:55Yeah.
