00:00Ugandan youth leaders are calling for a large anti-corruption march this Tuesday in front of the Parliament in Kampala.
00:07The organisers, who are not affiliated with any political party, are accusing officials of embezzlement.

00:19and are facing sanctions such as entry bans and asset freeze from London and Washington.

00:30saying they've been inspired by the Kenyan protest.
00:33But the police have already banned the gathering, fearing a chaotic situation.
00:37President Yoweri Museveni has warned the protesters, claiming that foreign forces are behind this movement,

00:46He says he's already fighting corruption within his government.
00:49Protests in Uganda are rare as they are often stopped by the security forces

00:58This Monday, the headquarters of opposition leader Bobby Wynne's party was surrounded by the police and military forces,
01:05with several MPs attempting to access the building briefly detained.
01:09The police described these actions as precautionary measures,
01:13but Bobby Wynne denies being an organiser while expressing he's supporting the youth in Tuesday's rally.
