Mors Hus, released in 1974, is a Norwegian drama film directed by Per Blom. The story revolves around Petter, a young man who returns home from college and reunites with his widowed mother. As Petter’s mother takes him in with great enthusiasm, it becomes clear that she has strong feelings for her son and desires to keep him all to herself - emotionally and possibly romantically.

The film is based on Knut Faldbakkens book “Sin Mors Hus” and was initially feared for its strong sexual content, but it surprisingly became a huge success in Norway. Today, it is regarded as one of the country’s strangest films of the 1970s.

The movie features Svein Sturla Hungnes, Bente Børsum, and Frøydis Armand in key roles. It explores themes of maternal love, intimacy, and the complex relationships between family members.
