00:00The budget is at its peak in the country and foreign investors have broken a 20-year record before that.
00:10We are saying this because from 2004 to 2024, there have been 5 Lok Sabha elections in the country.
00:18After these elections, the government of the country comes with a full budget,
00:21which has a clear impact on the country's share market and foreign investors.
00:26For the first time in the past 20 years, after the general election, the country's budget is coming in the last week of July.
00:33Prior to this, from 2004 to 2019, the budget was presented in the first week of July after the election.
00:40This time, the special thing is that in the month of July,
00:43foreign investors have invested more than Rs 30,000 crores in the share market.
00:48So let's tell you what kind of data is being seen on NSDL.
00:53So, in the budget, the hope of continued improvement,
00:56sustained economic growth and the quarterly results of companies to be better,
01:01the foreign portfolio investor, i.e. the FPI, has invested Rs 30,772 crores in the Indian share market so far this month.
01:11According to the data of the depository, the FPI has put Rs 30,772 crores in shares so far this month, i.e. until July 19.
01:20Prior to this, due to political instability and a sharp jump in the markets,
01:24he had invested Rs 26,565 crores in shares in June.
01:29Prior to this, the FPI withdrew Rs 25,586 crores from the shares in May due to election results.
01:38With Mauritius, India's tax treaty was changed and in April, due to the concern of increasing U.S. bond yields,
01:44he withdrew more than Rs 8,700 crores.
01:48During the period under review, the FPI had invested Rs 13,573 crores in debt and bond markets apart from shares.
01:56Prior to this, his investment in the bond market has reached Rs 82,197 crores this year.
02:03This is the highest in 20 years.
02:05Because in the budget month of the election year, i.e. in the month of July,
02:08foreign investors have put such a large amount in the share market for the first time.
02:12After the election of 2004, in the month of July, foreign investors had invested Rs 914 crores in the share market.
02:19Whereas in the month of July 2009, this data was seen to be Rs 11,066 crores.
02:25After this, in the month of July 2014, this data increased to Rs 13,110 crores.
02:31If we talk about 2019, then in the month of July, foreign investors withdrew Rs 12,419 crores from the share market.
02:40So now experts are also looking at the speed of buying in this FPI.
02:46Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present a full budget for the financial year 2024-25 on Tuesday, July 23.
02:54Prior to this, an interim budget was presented in February.
02:57If we talk about this year, how has the FPI's investment been in the market this year?
03:02So this year, the FPI has become bankrupt from the start of this financial year, i.e. they have withdrawn money.
03:09In the first month of the financial year, in April, the FPI withdrew Rs 8,671 crores.
03:15After that, in the month of May, foreign portfolio investors bought and sold Indian shares worth Rs 25,586 crores.
03:23FPI has become a seller from the start of the year.
03:27In the month of January 2024, they bought and sold Indian shares worth Rs 25,744 crores.
03:34However, after that, in the month of February, they bought shares worth Rs 1,549 crores and Rs 35,098 crores in March.
03:42And after that, in July, this number has increased a lot.
03:45Experts say that in addition to this, the sentiments of investors have become stronger with the hope of being reform-oriented in the budget.
03:53In the future, if the softness of the dollar and bond yields continues, then FPI buying will continue in the Indian share markets.
04:01Experts say that domestic and foreign investors will keep a close eye on the possible changes in the long-term capital gain tax in the budget to be presented on July 23.
04:11And after that, they can do their own strategy.
04:14So, foreign investors have broken the 20-year record and have shopped in the Indian share market this year.
