00:30Hi I'm Father Stephen, I'm the rector here at St Andrew's Taring and I've just been up
00:41to the top, very top of the spire, we've got steeplejacks working up there at the moment,
00:45we're having two faces of the spire completely re-shingled in cedar and been up there today
00:50right at the top, incredible views of all the way around the downs, the sea, the whole
00:54of Worthing and beyond. I must say I was a bit less scared than I expected, I quite used
00:59to climbing rock faces but on the rock face I sort of know what I'm doing whereas a ladder
01:03that seemed to go on endlessly into the sky I wasn't so sure about, but once I got to the top
01:07it was great being up there, clipped myself in, had a good time, had a good look at the view,
01:10took a few selfies and come back down safely, all to raise awareness and money for our campaign to
01:16pay for the shingling, we haven't had to pay the steeplejacks yet, I hope they're not listening,
01:19but we will have to pay them soon and we're hoping to raise a bit of well-needed funds to
01:23support the project.
