00:00Three years after, you're back where you've always wanted to be, on top of the Tour de France.

00:06Congratulations, you're a happy man.

00:08Yeah, I'm super happy.

00:10I cannot describe how happy I am after two hard years in the Tour de France.

00:18Always some mistakes, and this year everything to perfection.

00:23I'm out of words, so I'm super happy to win here.

00:29Incredible.

00:31You were always in control?

00:33Yeah, I think this is the first Grand Tour where I was totally confident every day.

00:42Even in Giro, I remember I had one bad day, but I won't tell which one.

00:48This year, Tour de France was just amazing.

00:52I was enjoying from day one until today.

00:57I had such great support behind me.

01:00I just couldn't let anyone down, so I was enjoying for them as well.

01:05You said you enjoyed it until today, and today you really enjoyed it, but still you had to win.

01:13Today I started with a good vibe in Monaco.

01:18It was a really lovely start on the Formula One grid.

01:25One of the best Formula circuits in the world, I think the best one ever.

01:30First, I was just listening to the time cut to Remco.

01:38I didn't have any other time gaps, but in the end, I felt super good.

01:45Over the top of the first climb, I felt super good.

01:49In my head, I had Hurka's sentence that she hates me for doing all the time this route on the training.

01:59We did it so many times this year, so I was like, I will not waste it.

02:04I will have it under control, but I will not waste today's preparations for today.

02:10You entered the legend of cycling winning the Giro and the Tour de France the same year.

02:16What does that mean to you?

02:18It's incredible. I would never have thought about this.

02:24Maybe some people would think that the Giro was a safety net if I didn't succeed in the Tour de France.

02:31For sure, it would be if I didn't succeed at the Tour.

02:35If I would win only the Giro, that would be already an incredible year.

02:44To win the Tour de France is another level.

02:48To win both together is another level, above that level.

02:52I'm super happy and really proud that we did it.

02:57What's next? A fourth, fifth or sixth Tour?

03:00Next, I want to win.

03:02Van Der Poel looks really good in the World Championships jersey, but I want to take it from him this year.

03:08We will see.

03:11I want one time to have a rainbow jersey on my back, but I still have time for that.

03:18You have amazing rivals, with Remco and with Jonas. It makes cycling amazing.

03:24In the last two years, we've been hearing that this is the best era of cycling, the best competition ever.

03:33If I would not be competing myself, I could also say it's the best cycling era ever, at least for the GC.

03:44This kind of competition with Remco, Jonas, Primoz is just incredible.

03:52There are young guys that are coming more and more.

03:56I think we can all enjoy this moment of cycling. It's beautiful, in my opinion.
