00:00Ben, before we talk about the disappointment, what's it like leading a stage of the Tour

00:06de France in the Pyrenees with that crowd?

00:08Yeah, I mean the crowd is something special, you know, it's almost deathly going up this

00:13climb and just having people scream your name, it's for sure really special.

00:19How disappointed are you?

00:21Yeah, I mean, I don't know if disappointment's the right word, it's just bike racing at the

00:25end of the day, like, yeah, gave it everything to be in the break and I was in the break

00:29with good legs but, you know, if I was Taddei and had legs like him then I think I'd race

00:34the same way so, yeah, there's not a lot you can do about it and I just got to, yeah, take

00:39the good legs forward hopefully and I'm sure there'll be some more opportunities.

00:43You had the gaps at the bottom of the climb, you knew that they were coming?

00:47Yeah, I mean, it was, with the gap we had it was always going to be ambitious but for

00:51sure I just knew I had to go full gas from the bottom which is what I did and I held

00:56them there for a little bit but, yeah, it just wasn't meant to be today.

01:00You'll get a prize, you'll be on the podium of the Tour de France, that must mean quite

01:04a bit for you.

01:05Yeah, maybe every time I look at this medal it's going to be the day I lost but, yeah,

01:10it's something at least.
