00:01:13He has a crush on Kiki.
00:01:14He wants to go to church with us.

00:01:16You know, it's cute.
00:01:17to church with us what can it hurt you know it's cute it's so weird I just feel
00:01:23like I have been here before oh that's deja vu deja vu all right let's go guys
00:01:36why doesn't dad have to go to church that's a good question
00:01:40oh because it's sweep sweep what is sweep sweep sweep sweeps when all the
00:01:46networks look at how many people are watching daddy's show you know so it's
00:01:49just I'm sorry guys I just got a lot of work to do so when I get older and work
00:01:56I won't go to church anymore bingo
00:02:04hey everybody this is Dimitri Chakopoulos thank you guys so much for a
00:02:09wonderful 10 years Wow Annie has it been 10 years yes it has
00:02:13Dimitri tune in this week as we have the official signing ceremony and you
00:02:17all get to be stuck with us for hopefully another 10 years that was good
00:02:22I'll cue the next one that's good all right who's for you and do you think
00:02:28it's weird that our wives and kids are at church on Sunday we're sitting here
00:02:32working I do you know why if I remember correctly the Bible says that God
00:02:38created the entire universe in six days and then he rested on the seventh day
00:02:43oh no I'm wrong I'm wrong God did voiceovers for his TV show on the seventh
00:02:50day
00:02:53oh really yeah there's any rule against fighting with your guardian angel
00:03:54you
00:04:09was a tough senior mom yeah it's amazing how that one moment changed all of our
00:04:17lives so much do you remember the accident yeah my mom and dad were going
00:04:24on a date my mom asked the babysitter to take us across the street to the park
00:04:31and we got down to the corner and I saw a bunch of our friends across the street
00:04:37in the park so I let go of the babysitter's hand and started running
00:04:42across the street and Yanni saw a car coming and he ran out and grabbed me and
00:04:48pulled me back but the car swerved and hit Yanni I just kept looking at Yanni I
00:04:58thought he's gonna get up I was just a kid I didn't I didn't know what death
00:05:04was I remember my mom and she came screaming down that driveway she blamed
00:05:15herself and she carried that sadness with her her whole life what about you
00:05:21I mean I loved him you know he was my big brother you know I just never got to
00:05:32throw a football with him never got to talk to more girls or you know just do
00:05:37all the stupid stuff others do you know yeah I know you you probably can't talk
00:05:43about this but
00:05:48my brother's in heaven isn't he I can't talk about that I hope so I can't
00:05:56imagine heaven without my brother being there whoa we still got some work to do
00:06:02to get you there what's it like heaven yeah it's perfect what do you mean by
00:06:14perfect if you ever had a moment where you felt totally loved where everyone
00:06:22and everything around you was just the way you wanted multiply that by a
00:06:28million and that's what heaven's like all the time forever it's really that
00:06:37beautiful like it says no I have seen no ear is heard no mind is imagined it's
00:06:46perfect yeah get out of here no I got it I got it no no get out of here no no
00:06:53no no no no no seriously I got it by the way I love the show thank you just keep
00:07:04this between us okay okay okay thanks hey Maria what's your day like tomorrow
00:07:10oh um I've got my high school reunion planning meeting the one with Tom
00:07:18Obramowicz yeah how'd you know you and that was I saw it on your calendar yeah
00:07:24he's the co-chair so we'll plan everything and then we'll bring in the
00:07:28other committees okay so it's just the two of you it is yeah um but we have our
00:07:34therapy session tomorrow okay I'll be there okay you always say
00:07:41that no no I promise I'm gonna be there this you always say that and then
00:07:45something always comes up with the show I promise I'll be there you promise
00:07:50promise
00:07:56it's not fun but it must get done that's a cheery way to start the day why do you
00:08:03do this our audience is predominantly females the better shape I'm in the more
00:08:08they like it so I do it oh another great thing about heaven no one is on a diet
00:08:14up there hey Dimitri you tell Maria that we're gonna have our first dance date
00:08:28tonight dance date ask Maria hey mrs. Jenkins said something about a dance
00:08:36date tonight or something oh yeah I signed us up for this thing called dance
00:08:40date couples download a dance routine and they make a date night out of it I
00:08:44don't know I told them that you're probably too busy no no sounds good I'll
00:08:49do it what's gotten into you I'm listening to my better angels angel
00:08:55singular not plural you see other angels here all right guys I'll see you
00:09:00later have a great day at school bye why do you give daddy such a quick kiss
00:09:05when you say goodbye if you love each other shouldn't it be a longer mushy
00:09:10kiss no if mommy gave daddy a longer mushy kiss then mommy would have to
00:09:14reapply her lipstick hey good what do you what are you doing with all this I'm
00:09:19selling it all of your cameras women why because I haven't used it in forever and
00:09:24I might as well make some money from it Maria I don't understand that this is
00:09:27what you love to do these are my two mushy mushy loves now have a good day
00:09:36Patty I'm just gonna whip through this all right living your best life now is
00:09:41one of the things we talked about for many years on this show we want you to
00:09:44have tips and advice on things that make your life better what are we are we
00:09:52gonna have to reboot Oh Patty come on no no no that's that's gonna take like
00:09:5630 minutes Dimitri's up at 5 a.m. nearly every day and I'm up with him and you
00:10:07know I packed the lunches and I do the wash and I clean the house and I pick up
00:10:12the kids at school and you know and then I you know help them with their
00:10:16homework and I make dinner and then we're up at 5 the next day and it's all
00:10:20starting all over again I don't know there's just more to me than that
00:10:27Patty how we doing it's not rebooting it's not rebooting
00:10:31well in a backup camera how long is that gonna take I've realized when you get
00:10:44married you give up half of your life and then when you have kids you give up
00:10:48the other half how about the romance department romance who has time for that
00:10:56I was uh I was looking at your intake papers and I I see you mentioned that
00:11:02you were a special events photographer is that right mm-hmm
00:11:06why'd you give that up we had two young kids and I I thought it was important
00:11:12for me to be there for them but I mean you could start that back up again
00:11:17all graduations and birthdays and baptisms are on the weekends and that's
00:11:22when the kids have basketball and cheer events and I didn't want to miss those
00:11:28do you miss working that's why I decided to sell my equipment so I would just
00:11:33stop thinking about it I mean you're just giving up like that well we make
00:11:39sacrifices for our children that's what parents do right
00:11:57hey Maria why don't you skip this committee meeting tonight you and I just
00:12:05go out to dinner together I can't I'm the co-chair it's only two of us on the
00:12:12committee I don't think this homecoming committee things a good idea I just need
00:12:17to stop doing house stuff and kids stuff it's really it's all I ever do and I
00:12:22heard he's getting divorced so I don't want to you know bail on him and drop
00:12:27all of this stuff on his lap Maria honestly I really did try and get away
00:12:32today it's really hard doing couples therapy by yourself
00:13:02you saw the two of them chit-chatting getting reacquainted and you just walked
00:13:20away I gotta be honest Johnny she looks happy with him she loves you
00:13:26Dimitri I know how the story ends it doesn't have to end that way this time
00:13:33do you think when she married you she thought it was gonna be a marriage made
00:13:36in heaven did you think that because let me tell you something marriage has its
00:13:40ups and downs it takes work buddy I don't know how to make this work great
00:13:45career happy wife happy children happy family I don't think you can have it all
00:13:52of course you can no listen to me Johnny at some point something is gonna get
00:13:58left out then you got to rearrange things it's like when you're packing for
00:14:03a trip and you got all this stuff to put in your luggage and you say oh it's not
00:14:06gonna fit but then you rearrange your luggage and it does fit I don't know how
00:14:12to make it all fit she's got two meetings with the supermodel it's this
00:14:16week and another one next week and I know by that third meeting I started a
00:14:25loser so you didn't pick this week because there's your anniversary you
00:14:30pick this week because this is the week everything started falling apart yeah
00:14:36well we got five more days let's do some rearranging deal deal I don't
00:14:50understand you want to change this to what bingo getting sexy for my lady you
00:14:58know I said you do all this work it out for the women in your audience yeah well
00:15:02maybe it's time you started thinking about the lady of this house Maria have
00:15:06you ever showed her your guns what your guns your guns your pipes come on you
00:15:12walk into that kitchen guns ablaze and now she's gonna tell me get out of here
00:15:15with your sweaty clothes you will be a sweaty mess but then you're gonna do
00:15:18this pose boom and then you say the sexiest thing ever honey I'm gonna pick
00:15:24up the kids after school today whoa that's when I have rehearsal zip it lock
00:15:29it put it in your pocket that kills in heaven

00:16:39getting sexy for my lady who's my lady you know I'm not buying that he came into
00:16:46the kitchen this morning looking all buff and sweaty and then he canceled his
00:16:50plans to go pick up the kids at school right I mean he never does that do you
00:16:56Oh are you crazy he adores you what are you talking about I gotta ask you a
00:17:00question and will you be really honest with me of course like total total
00:17:05honesty always am I getting a mom but what like a mom but you know it goes as
00:17:14opposed to what as opposed to whoa yeah you could probably use a little bit more
00:17:20whoa but can't we all I knew it I knew it no no no we are starting right now
00:17:25we're gonna do everything we're in spots lunges leg curls let's go everything and
00:17:29by the way you could benefit from a little whoa in your backside too oh no
00:17:33I'm a sister I got whoa I am okay let's go okay okay I think I blew out my
00:17:48glutes all right listen Eddie we're gonna go in there and we're telling
00:17:53Patty no rehearsal today and we're not backing down I don't know we've never

00:18:01I thought I heard something I'll tell you he's about to hear something Patty
00:18:04tick-tock big boys gonna rock no rehearsal I don't know she just she gets
00:18:10crazy when you change things quarterback quarterback oh yeah very

00:18:21getting up to the line of scrimmage and I'm calling an audible yeah yeah you're
00:18:25calling an audible you're changing the play like like Tom Brady Brady exactly
00:18:32you're exactly like Tom Brady and nobody tells Tom Brady what to do exactly what
00:18:36happened in New England when they told Tom Brady what to do boom Tom Brady went
00:18:40to Tampa Bay Tampa Bay just crazy no he's fine no I'm just like the point of

00:21:39we're supposed to understand some poem that a guy named Tennessee wrote a
00:21:45thousand years ago I mean Tennyson it's one of the world's
00:21:49greatest poets Nico how was your day Nico earth to Nico what how was your
00:21:59day thing well you guys are a lot of fun
00:22:06Oh look who's here all right hey Kiki Ricky's here good what's Ricky doing

00:22:26they poop and all they look cuddly but really no they're dangerous did you get
00:22:30rabies from puppies wolf wolf yeah how is pickup I have no idea why any parent
00:22:36would ever pick up their kids from school honestly he's a the entire time
00:22:39you ask him a question is like oh he's stupid dumb what are you doing dead all
00:22:45right well next time bring food they will gab the entire time they eat I'll
00:22:49try it if didn't get any better man they can get a ride with uber uber who's
00:22:53uber mr. uber the guy the guy that that that does the thing I've never heard of
00:23:01uber he's he he he gives rides to the kids no he's like a volunteer him and
00:23:09mr. lift they're good people they're very good people anyway where are you
00:23:14off to I'm gonna see my mom yeah okay bye
00:23:24Oh
00:23:34hey kid what in the world what are you doing here don't you have a show today a
00:23:41skip rehearsal this is a holiday or something I just I missed you you missed
00:23:51what I miss your smile I miss talking to you I miss laughing with you I'm I'm
00:24:01just I really miss you let's get out of here and go catch up by the way I want
00:24:13you to come and visit the show really it's been a while I know well I have a
00:24:20driver yeah I'll get you a driver all right then I'll come gotta have the
00:24:28driver come on I'm a classy broad
00:24:43you
00:25:03it's a beautiful day for couples therapy know what I'm saying
00:25:13hi Sally yes hi yes it's Maria I just wanted to see if you could get a ride
00:25:18for the kids from mr. uber because I have an appointment this morning yeah
00:25:21yeah no you don't know what I'm talking hey Sally no no I'll pick up the kids
00:25:26don't worry good yeah no no no no worry no it sounds like an amazing this car
00:25:32pull uber no you were here I thought about what you said 100% right he's
00:25:36creepy that guy he's like a volunteer and it's like weird vibe going on there
00:25:40so no no no you're right okay come weird thing he does before we got
00:25:47married we went to premarital counseling and they asked us to describe what we
00:25:52were looking for in marriage in just one word what did you see affection I wanted
00:25:57affection Dimitri is such a loving person I mean he gives so many people
00:26:01his love and I I wanted to know that the love he had for me was special do you
00:26:07remember what Dimitri's word was attention he wanted my attention well
00:26:12why attention his dad was a tough man very he didn't give Dimitri any
00:26:18attention he didn't come to his sports events and when he graduated from high
00:26:23school he didn't show up and when he graduated from college same thing he
00:26:26didn't show up really why work he was an old-school Greek he thought that work
00:26:32was more important than anything so how do you think you're doing in terms of
00:26:36giving Dimitri attention that is definitely not an issue anymore he gets
00:26:42attention from millions of people no no no no I'm talking about your attention
00:26:48do you give Dimitri your attention by attention what do you mean make names
00:26:54you have jokes romance private victories you see his relationship with the
00:27:01audience now that's one thing but a man's relationship with his wife that's
00:27:05sacred there are certain private moments that only you two share yeah
00:27:12when we first got married we did those kinds of things but yeah like what I
00:27:17don't know like when we would be falling asleep I would reach out and I would
00:27:22hold his hand and we used to pray together dumb things I don't know like
00:27:30you know I would just goose him at the most inappropriate moments to make him
00:27:35embarrassed that's exactly what I mean do you know what those moments say to
00:27:39him they say I got my eye on you I love you okay I just don't think he needs it
00:27:49Maria listen to me this is everything do you know why Dimitri is working so hard
00:27:58he's still trying to get his dad's attention but his dad passed away so he
00:28:04pours himself into his work hoping that the audience attention will fill that
00:28:10void it won't there's only one person that can fill that void and that's you
00:28:20you give Dimitri attention and he'll change trust me
00:28:29I'm in session
00:28:34yeah aren't you supposed to be your rehearsal move the time back a little
00:28:40bit you have been a great audience everyone our last segment is a
00:28:51discussion on the most efficient way to wash your car some really cool stuff
00:28:55we're back in 30 seconds Dimitri we go live in five four three two welcome back
00:29:05to the show everyone for this next segment I've got a little surprise for
00:29:09all of you what oh well no more surprises have I not told you all I hate
00:29:16surprises seriously I kicked everyone out of my surprise birthday party last
00:29:21year I want to introduce you to the first lady of my soul my beautiful mom
00:29:29Mary Lou Chikopoulos this is my better side
00:29:38mom what mine you could teach me how to make one of my favorite Greek foods
00:29:43spinach coffee do mom a favor though hun don't slouch
00:29:49anyway my mom has always been a fantastic cook oh I was an okay cook and
00:29:57things happened you want to tell him what happened this is supposed to be a
00:30:01funny show right yeah I try mom sometimes you're funny sometimes by the
00:30:10way who doesn't know the most efficient way to wash your car you bring it to the
00:30:17car wash why do I spend hours typing information into his teleprompter never
00:30:26like I was saying I was a pretty good cook then some bad luck hit our family I
00:30:34lost my older son young and you know it's tough on a parent when you lose a
00:30:40child so I had a choice I could either crawl in a hole and cry or do something
00:30:46with my time so I started to really cook and when I cooked I would take a little
00:30:53icon of st. John the Baptist and I would put it right on the kitchen
00:30:58counter st. John the Baptist is the saint that my brother was named after
00:31:01and the name Yanni when you translate it into English is John I would cook every
00:31:08Greek recipe I could think of and I would look at that little icon of st.
00:31:13John and I would say you take care of my Johnny Angel everybody loved my cooking
00:31:19Dimitri loved my cooking let me tell you something
00:31:24don't skim the olive oil in the dill
00:31:36Yanni? Is that you? It's me Dimitri.
00:31:48How have you been? Well other than getting hit by that car I've been really good
00:31:54It's a happy time Dimitri. You don't have to worry about me anymore.
00:32:16I've missed you my whole life.
00:32:24How did you become my guardian angel? Well the boss doesn't like to see
00:32:30unhappy angels and so when you said your prayer he asked me what I wanted to do
00:32:35and I said I would love to come back and experience what it would have been like
00:32:39to grow up with you. Here I am. What do we do now? Well we got three days left in our
00:32:47week let's make it a great three days. All right we got a lot of catching up to do.
00:32:54Yeah we do. You sure you're my guardian angel? I'm pretty sure.
00:33:17you
00:33:47you
00:34:17you
00:34:48you
00:34:58I have my second high school reunion meeting tomorrow. Is this one with the
00:35:03subcommittees? No it's just with Tom and I again we've got a lot of pre-planning
00:35:08to do. All right. Well don't stay up too late. No no I'll be up in a little bit.
00:35:17Ricky. Good evening Mr. C lovely evening we're having isn't it? What are you doing
00:35:32here? Just thought I'd stop by and see if Kiki's doing some late-night studying. No
00:35:39Ricky it's 10 o'clock everyone's asleep. I brought some of my homemade custard
00:35:44ice cream. Sorry it's melting a bit. Thank you but Ricky do your parents know you're
00:35:59running around? Mom's restocking at the grocery store. What about your dad? I
00:36:05don't really have a dad he was here for a couple years but not anymore. Listen
00:36:13you can't be running around like this you gotta go home get your sleep and
00:36:17study to get good grades. Does it matter in my house if I get an A or an F? No no hey
00:36:24that does matter. I mean you said you wanted to be the custard king right? Did
00:36:30I say that? No I just I heard that somewhere but the point I'm trying to
00:36:35make is if you're gonna run a company you're gonna be in charge of a lot of
00:36:39money a lot of people it's important to get good grades. You make a good point.
00:36:45I'll tell you what you can come over after school anytime to study with Kiki
00:36:50okay? Okay I have an English paper due this week maybe we could start with that.
00:36:57Yeah yeah sounds good. Listen I really love Kiki. I'm around her and I'm around all of you. It's the
00:37:11closest thing to family that I have. Maybe that's what I should write my
00:37:17English paper about. Family. Yeah that sounds good.
00:37:24Hey and thank you for the custard mr. custard king. You know tonight when I'm
00:37:36sitting around making my notes I'm gonna be wondering if we just had a good week
00:37:40or is this something that you're committed to? I think the best way to
00:37:45answer that is in our house there's a glass container and inside of it's
00:37:51something we call the Stefana. What is that? The Stefana are these two
00:37:57beautiful crowns that the priest takes and he places on the bride and the
00:38:00groom's heads when they get married.
00:38:15Once those crowns are on their heads he takes their hands and he walks them
00:38:20around the wedding table three times. That walk it represents their first
00:38:29steps in life together. In between those crowns you'll see a beautiful delicate
00:38:40piece of ribbon and my Jaya, my grandmother, she would always tell me
00:38:45that that ribbon it represents the the fragility of marriage. It can easily be
00:38:52torn apart but if you take good care of it it'll hold those two crowns together
00:38:58forever and never be torn apart.
00:39:04And the only time that that ribbon is supposed to be cut is when the bride or
00:39:11the groom passes away and they're buried with that crown. I don't plan on
00:39:17that ribbon being cut until God calls one of us home.
00:39:23Dimitri, do you know what time it is? It's me, I'm here, I'm here. Where have you been?
00:39:41Huh? Where have you been? I was in therapy. I'm the one that should be in therapy. I
00:39:47know exactly what to do, don't worry about it. Can you believe this? Have the Wilson
00:39:49brothers dance without me, 100%. That'll be great. I will not be dancing, all right?
00:39:54Okay, all right, bye-bye. Hello, Sunshine.
00:40:00Oh, Johnny, could you just give me a minute? I just need to get finished
00:40:04changing. I need you to call Maria. Maria, why? I just saw her, what do you want me to
00:40:09say to her? You know, it must be nice to have everybody write cue cards for you
00:40:12so you know what to say in life. Hello? Boing. Hi, it's me. Hi, aren't you about to go on?
00:40:22Yeah. Oh, that's so sweet. I can't believe you called me. Well, I told you I'm
00:40:33listening to my better angel. That's singular, not plural. Oh, I love it. Keep
00:40:44listening to that better angel. You're so busy, you never call. What made you think
00:40:49of me? Well, I always think of you. Really? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I had to run out of
00:40:58therapy, but I did want to tell you, I love you. Oh, I love you, too. It's so strange, I feel like
00:41:06I'm falling in love with you all over again.
00:41:12Déjà vu. Yeah, it's déjà vu. Well, I can't wait to see you dance today. Wait, are you
00:41:20gonna be watching the show? Yes, Dimitri Athanasios Tchikopoulos, you have my
00:41:24complete, undivided, and total attention. Let me see your moves. I gotta dance.
00:41:30Are we as watching? I can't remember the last time she watched the show. Johnny,
00:41:36how are you? Nah. Well, there is one little favor I'd like to ask. Yeah, yeah, sure.
00:41:42What? Well, the other angels and I talk about this all the time. We come down to
00:41:46earth, we do our thing, and it's not always a walk in the park for Johnny
00:41:50Oh, no, I know. Yeah. Well, then everything goes back to normal, everything's
00:41:54hunky-dory, and there's always a moment where people look at each other and
00:41:57they're like, oh my gosh, I've been here before. What is that? You know what they
00:42:03say? Déjà vu. They never say déjà Johnny Angel. You know, it's not a big deal. It's
00:42:10not fair, but it's not a big deal. Oh, déjà vu. Sorry about that. Okay.
00:42:15Johnny, you think she's thinking about Tom Abramowitz at all? I know one thing.
00:42:19She's not watching his TV show to see him dance. Yeah, that's true. How do I
00:42:26look? Ridiculous. Go get him, brother. Go get him. He's about to go on in front of
00:42:36millions of people and he called to say he loves me. He never does that. Um, what
00:42:42are you doing? Do I look okay? Tell me. How do I look? Oh, okay, you're really
00:42:48pretty, but I don't want to be a party pooper. You know he can't see you through
00:42:52the TV. Hey, everybody. Thanks for sticking with us and welcome back to the
00:42:58show. Mom, thank you for another wonderful cooking segment. Really
00:43:02appreciate it. I'm learning my Greek cooking. As you can see, I am joined by
00:43:07the fabulous Wilson brothers, Marcel and Kevin. Get ready to cue the Wilson
00:43:12brothers. They're here for our 10-year celebration and they are gonna help me
00:43:17with a little dance. What? No! Dimitri, could you please read the teleprompter? Now,
00:43:23before the show, my wife called me up and she said, Dimitri, she actually said
00:43:28Dimitri Athanasios Tchikopoulos. So it was like the whole
00:45:07family.
00:45:28Hey, Mom, when Yanni and I were kids, I was your favorite, wasn't I? Oh, gosh, I
00:45:35loved you both. Yeah, but Yanni was kind of a pain. He was always getting in
00:45:39trouble and things. He was a handful, all right. Yeah, I never gave you any trouble,
00:45:45did I? No, you were a sweetheart. I was a sweetheart. Ask her who was smarter. Mom,
00:45:51who was smarter? Oh, he was smarter. Really? Oh, yeah, they ran tests. His scores went
00:45:59through the roof. Who was the cuter one? Oh, you know I thought you were both so
00:46:05beautiful. I wish I could have seen him all grown up. Something tells me you'd
00:46:17have been very proud of him, Mom. You know, even after he passed away, I felt like
00:46:23he's always been here with me, like he never left me. Dimitri, do you think we'll
00:46:30all ever be together again? I have no doubt about it, Mom. That would be a good
00:46:37day. That'll be a good day.
00:46:45Hey, the kids are all dressed up. Where are you guys going? Oh, we're on our way to
00:46:49church. I'll go with you. Seriously? Come on, it hasn't been that long since I've been at
00:46:56church. It has been a while, just saying.
00:47:02That man in the painting, his name is Jesus. Today's question is from little
00:47:20Johnny. Do we believe in angels? Absolutely, we believe in angels. God has
00:47:29an angel for each and every one of us.
00:47:44Sorry, he gets a little nervous in church. First time back in a long time.
00:47:49Prodigal son, remember Jesus loves sinners, too. It's good, huh? How did you learn to
00:48:00cook all this? Well, my mom has been coming by the show this week and teaching
00:48:04me all her Greek recipes. How come you never tried cooking before? I guess I
00:48:09never took the time. I like it when you're a regular dad. If you were to choose
00:48:16between being famous or being a good dad, which would you choose? Oh, I'd rather be a good dad.
00:48:25Do you think I'm a good dad? Yeah, but sometimes I wish you were around more.
00:48:35Like when? I don't know, just for things. It was pretty cool that you came to
00:48:43church today. Yeah, you know, I thought that was pretty cool, too. It was real cool.
00:48:55I still don't understand why you're selling all your equipment. I mean,
00:48:59there's no way this Connie Pintoski is gonna love your equipment as much as you
00:49:03do. Because I got a full price for it.
00:49:13You guys finish your homework? I still have my English homework. Uh-oh, remember what mom
00:49:18says. If you don't get your homework done, tomorrow won't be any fun. No, I just
00:49:24don't understand this Tennyson poem. Which one was it? Oh, the splendor falls. I love this
00:49:32poem. I know it by heart. I do? You ready? The splendor falls on castle walls and
00:49:40snowy summits, olden story. The long light shakes across the lake and the
00:49:44cataract leaps in glory. Blow bugle blow. Set the wild echoes flying. Blow bugle blow.
00:49:52Answer echoes answer. Dying, dying, dying. Oh love, they die in yon rich sky. They faint on hill or
00:50:02field or river. Our echoes roll from soul to soul and grow forever and forever. Is it a
00:50:11happy poem or a sad poem? What do you think? It seems like both. I think you're
00:50:17right. It's about a man having a beautiful experience in his life and he
00:50:24is looking out at the most exquisite sunset and he hears a horn in the
00:50:28distance signaling the end of the day and he's so happy because he realizes
00:50:32that he experienced this beautiful moment but he's sad because he knows
00:50:36it's coming to an end and in the last verse he looks at his love and he says
00:50:41that their love, unlike the fading sound of the horn, will never die and will grow
00:50:47and grow forever. You feel that way towards mom? I do, 1,000%. You guys will
00:50:58never get divorced, would you? No. Do you guys worry about that? So many of our
00:51:06friends' parents are divorced and I don't think they realize how sad it
00:51:09makes our kids. I just wouldn't want that to happen to our family.
00:51:25Hey, by the way, where do you want to go for our anniversary? I already made
00:51:29reservations. Jimmy E's. That's where we had our first date. That's so romantic.
00:51:34Guess who called that? Alright, see you soon.
00:51:37Oh, wait. No kiss? Lipstick. Oh, yeah, lipstick.
00:51:48Alright, Johnny, we got 15 minutes before she comes back. I went in your closet, picked out the
00:51:55perfect outfit for you to wear tonight. Hi, Maria. It's Tom Romowitz. Well, I finally
00:52:01got all my divorce paperwork behind me, so my schedule is clear. Thanks for your
00:52:07patience. I'm good to meet next Monday. Wow, that's a buzz, Gil. Alright, let's go
00:52:15make some magic.
00:52:31you
00:53:01you
00:53:31you
00:54:01you
00:54:31you
00:55:01you
00:55:10Dude, you were awesome in that restaurant. Okay, here's what you got to do next. I
00:55:16know what to do next.
00:55:24So,
00:55:28where were we?
00:55:32Careful, Mommy. Don't kiss too long. You'll have to reapply your lipstick. Are
00:55:40you kidding me? Hi. What are you doing up? Well, I woke up and realized I didn't
00:55:49finish my biology homework. Now, I remember what you said. If the homework
00:55:53doesn't get done, tomorrow won't be any fun. What are you doing all dressed up?
00:55:59You look like you should be on the cover of a magazine. That is exactly right, Kiki.
00:56:05And you know when Mommy buys you a magazine and you want to read that
00:56:08magazine all by yourself? I mean, you really, really want to read that magazine
00:56:12all alone from the front cover to the back cover, every word in between, and you
00:56:17don't want any interruptions at all. You just really, really want to be alone with
00:56:22that magazine. Am I making any sense? I understand. Okay. Do you want me to turn
00:56:30the light on so that you can read your magazine? What are you doing up? I'm hungry.
00:56:38You're not hungry. There are children starving in Africa. You know what, Mommy? No.
00:56:43No, no, no, no, no. You're hungry, and you've got homework to do, and I know
00:56:48exactly what we're gonna do. I got this. Okay, out the door. Let's go. Let's go.
00:56:54Where are we going? You know how you're always asking if I'd have special time
00:56:57with Yaya and Papu? Well, tonight is the night. But you're going to let's go. Yes, on a school night.
00:57:00They're gonna be very excited to see you. Let's go. Hey, she's gonna be gone 20
00:57:05minutes. Get a quick pump in, man. No, come on. I'm not gonna lift some weights. That's ridiculous.
00:57:12Go, go, go, go, go. Bye-bye. Out, out. Okay, Ma? Ma? Yeah, Ma, I'm talking to you. You need to take them to school tomorrow, okay?
00:57:21Mommy, I'll be there. Okay, okay. Okay. Okay. Here, here, here, here. Gotta go.
00:57:33Wait, my homework. Oh, she's got biology homework. The book is in the bottom of the bag, okay?
00:57:40Love you guys. Bye.
00:57:42Jesus, if you're intending for her to be a biologist and I just messed that whole thing up, I am so sorry, but I am turning off the guilt because,
00:57:49because did you see my husband in that tuxedo and the way that he looked at me and the way that I looked at him? I mean, Lord.
00:57:56And I know that you're smiling down on me right now, Jesus, so I'm just gonna turn off the guilt and I'm gonna go off mom duty because that's what's happening.
00:58:04You got it. You got it. You got it. Keep going. Keep going. No, no. You got it. You got it. You got it. No, you got it. Oh, you. Oh, you. Oh, you.
00:58:12Oh, yeah.
00:58:14Dude, you're supposed to spot me.
00:58:16We don't work out in heaven.
00:58:18All right, I'm pumped up. I'm ready. I'm ready. Okay, I gotta go.
00:58:22Hold on. I still sweat. Walk through that. Walk through it. Okay, now backwards. Backwards. Arm up.
00:58:29One for her, one for us, and one for good Lord baby Jesus. Go get her.
00:58:33Wait, that's disinfectant.
00:58:35I know.
00:58:45Oh, wow. Your arms feel so good.
00:58:53You smell good.
00:59:03You smell good.
00:59:07You smell good.

00:59:13You smell good.
00:59:15You smell good.
00:59:17You smell good.
00:59:19You smell good.
00:59:21You smell good.
00:59:23You smell good.
00:59:25You smell good.
00:59:27You smell good.
00:59:29You smell good.
00:59:31You smell good.
00:59:33You smell good.

01:00:03You smell good.
01:00:05You smell good.
01:00:07You smell good.
01:00:09You smell good.

01:00:25You smell good.
01:00:27You smell good.
01:00:29You smell good.
01:00:33And don't cut yourself.
01:00:37Hey, it's a big day today, you don't want to be late.
01:00:39Yep yep yep.
01:00:49After last night,
01:00:51I plan on wearing this tux for the rest of my life.
01:00:53Okay.
01:00:55Okay, I'll see you later.
01:00:57Bye.
01:01:03Hey!
01:01:06Where's my goodbye kiss?
01:01:09You want one of those short, don't mess up my lipstick kisses?
01:01:13Oh no.
01:01:26My man.
01:01:27Oh yeah, you go and sign that contract and bring it on home.
01:01:32I'll be waiting.
01:01:38Oof.
01:01:42My man!
01:01:45I need a new robe.
01:01:46Okay, Dimitri, you will sit here, you will say some kind words and thank everyone for a great tin season and looking forward to the next tin.
01:01:57Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:01:59And of course, say a few incredible words about me.
01:02:03You will then sign the contract.
01:02:05Audience will go crazy.
01:02:07Andy, you will then cue the music and dance us on out of here.
01:02:11And gentlemen, we will be done with Sweeps Week.
01:02:16My dearest Maria, never give up on your dreams.
01:02:25The time and the season may not be when you thought it would be.
01:02:29But each man and woman has a destiny and a purpose under the sun.
01:02:36Yours, my dear, is capturing life's beautiful moments and reminding everyone that there's always a brighter day up ahead.
01:02:45You are my brighter day.
01:02:48Love, Dimitri.
01:02:50A.K.A. Carmen Pentowski.
01:02:54And yes, this is all your camera equipment.
01:02:59All right, everyone get situated.
01:03:01Five, four, three, two.
01:03:05Take it, Dimitri.
01:03:10Get a space in the contract as he signs it.
01:03:15OK, Dimitri, enough of the smiles.
01:03:23Sign it.
01:03:31Dimitri, where are you going?
01:03:33Where are you going?
01:03:39Attention shoppers, if anyone can get their car into the control booth, just run me over with it.
01:03:45I'll give you a hundred bucks.
01:03:47So.
01:03:50Here we are back where it all began.
01:03:53Man.
01:03:55You guys know how much I love all of you.
01:03:59And how much you mean to me.
01:04:03You know, if there's been a theme over the past 10 years for our show, it's been that I want you to live your best life now.
01:04:12A life full of joy, faith, love and hope.
01:04:19Most importantly, I hope you have somebody to share it with.
01:04:24And I've come to discover over the last week.
01:04:28That applies to me, too.
01:04:31You see, I am madly crazy.
01:04:37In love with a woman.
01:04:41She happens to be my wife.
01:04:45She's got this camera.
01:04:48Man, you guys, the picture she takes with that camera, that's everything we've talked about on this show for 10 years.
01:04:54She captures the most precious, beautiful moments in people's lives.
01:04:58They're beautiful photographs.
01:05:02I can't wait to see where that camera leads us.
01:05:06So I'm not leaving the show.
01:05:08Patty, don't have a heart attack up there.
01:05:11I'm gonna sign my contract.
01:05:13I just need some changes to be made.
01:05:17No more working long nights.
01:05:20No more skipping vacation days.
01:05:22No more working on Sundays.
01:05:25I want to be a full-time son.
01:05:29I want to be a full-time dad.
01:05:32And more than anything else, I want to be a full-time husband again.
01:05:38What I'm doing is...
01:05:42I'm rearranging my suitcase so that everything can fit in it.
01:05:46So that I can continue on this great journey that God's allowed me to be on with all of you.
01:05:52And with you.
01:05:54I'm so grateful for it.
01:05:57And I hope it continues on for many years.
01:06:03Hear the music.
01:06:05Time to dance on out of here.
01:06:08Love you guys.
01:06:17Made me cry.
01:06:21First time in ten years.
01:06:23When I wasn't mad at him.
01:06:47What's this?
01:06:49I wrote down all of my recipes.
01:06:52Oh, Mom.
01:06:54You're kidding. That was so sweet of you.
01:06:57How do you say goodbye to your mother?
01:06:59She was and will always be the rock of my life.
01:07:02I love you, kid.
01:07:04I love you.
01:07:06It was so difficult knowing that when I woke up from all of this, I would never be able to see her again.
01:07:11This meant the world to me.
01:07:13Never be able to speak to her again.
01:07:15I'll see you soon.
01:07:17I'll see you soon.
01:07:19Never be able to feel the warmth of her love.
01:07:21But now, more than ever, I knew she would be in a beautiful place.
01:07:26And one day, we would all be reunited.
01:07:29And saying goodbye to my children was not any easier.
01:07:33How do you say goodbye to your children's youth?
01:07:35No more bedtime stories.
01:07:37No more tender hugs and kisses that melt your heart.
01:07:40Where had their youth gone?
01:07:41Those days that seemed so long once upon a time had now become years that went by too quickly.
01:07:50And that left the hardest goodbyes of all for me.
01:08:04Johnny.
01:08:06I just gotta ask you one last favor.
01:08:08I promise you this will be the last favor I ask for.
01:08:13I just need a little more time.
01:08:16You can't do that, Demetri.
01:08:18No, no, no, no, no. Just hear me out, okay?
01:08:21Marie and I, we're doing great.
01:08:24You know, everything's on track.
01:08:26It's just she's got that meeting with Obramowitz on Monday, and I just need a little more time.
01:08:31It's been a great week.
01:08:34There's only a few minutes left.
01:08:35You don't want to miss saying goodbye to Maria.
01:08:38I understand.
01:08:43Well, I guess this is goodbye then?
01:08:48Yeah.
01:08:50Johnny, do I remember you?
01:08:56No.
01:08:58Not at all?
01:08:59Not at all.
01:09:01Well, you remember when you got that colonoscopy last year, and you came out of it, and you kind of remember stuff, but nothing specific?
01:09:11It's like that.
01:09:13That's the best I got for you, buddy.
01:09:15I'll take it.
01:09:17Listen, I've had a great week.
01:09:21God's gonna give back a happy angel.
01:09:24Yeah, it's been a great week.
01:09:25You may not see me, but know that I'll always be with you.
01:09:30Protecting you.
01:09:32Looking out for you.
01:09:34Teasing you.
01:09:36Kind of like a big brother.
01:09:39See you on the other side?
01:09:42Yeah.
01:09:44See you on the other side.
01:09:47I love you, Johnny.
01:09:50I love you too.
01:09:56I love you too.
01:10:04Say goodbye, Maria.
01:10:11Johnny, if I could just ask one last thing.
01:10:14When I go in there and hug Maria, I'm gonna hold her in my arms.
01:10:20Please just promise me, when I wake up, shoot me in my arms.
01:10:25I'm lost without that woman.
01:10:28It's out of my hands, Demetri.
01:10:32I understand.
01:10:44Maria.
01:10:46What's the matter?
01:10:48I don't know, nothing.
01:10:50I just...
01:10:52I didn't want you to fall asleep before I got a chance to say goodbye.
01:10:58Goodbye.
01:11:00I meant...
01:11:02I meant goodnight.
01:11:04Goodnight, Demetri.
01:11:07We had a really great week, didn't we?
01:11:12I wish all the weeks could be like this one.
01:11:20Maria.
01:11:22Yes?
01:11:24If I ever come up short in what you hope for in a husband,
01:11:31please don't give up on me.
01:11:33I won't, I promise.
01:11:37I know it's a long road, but you're the one I want to travel on it with.
01:11:42The whole way, okay?
01:11:47I love you, Maria.
01:11:49I always have and always will.
01:11:52I love you too, Demetri.
01:11:56I guess it's time to say goodnight.
01:11:58Goodnight, Demetri.
01:12:01Goodnight, Maria.
01:12:19Goodnight, Maria.
01:12:47Hello?
01:12:48Demetri, it's Mr. Jenkins.
01:12:50Yeah, I know, I know.
01:12:52The garage door, I left it open.
01:12:54Sorry, am I interrupting you?
01:12:56No, I just woke up from a dream.
01:12:58I hope it was a good one.
01:13:02It was a beautiful dream.
01:13:05Thanks.
01:13:19What are you doing?
01:13:22Maria.

01:15:53It is my distinct privilege
01:15:55to give this year's award to someone
01:15:57who is not only incredibly deserving,
01:15:59but also a family member.
01:16:01My mother-in-law, Maria Chikopoulos.
01:16:03Ten years ago, Maria posted a picture of Dimitri
01:16:05when he re-signed his contract.
01:16:07Underneath it, she posted the title
01:16:09Finding My Voice.
01:16:11She also posted a book of the same title
01:16:13and then three more bestsellers after that.
01:16:15Each book contains pictures that she took
01:16:17that capture some of life's best moments.
01:16:19That she's become a woman
01:16:21that men and women look up to and aspire to be.
01:16:23So, please help me introduce
01:16:25this year's Los Angeles Person of the Year,
01:16:27Maria Chikopoulos.
01:16:34Ten years ago, I received a gift
01:16:37and I found my voice.
01:16:39I'm not really one to look back on my life
01:16:41with regrets, but every once in a while
01:16:43a very frightening thought comes to me.
01:16:45I came within a breath of my voice
01:16:47not being heard.
01:16:49And that's taught me something.
01:16:51Come near you.
01:16:57Wherever you are in your journey,
01:17:00find somebody who
01:17:02loves you,
01:17:04believes in you,
01:17:06cherishes you,
01:17:08and will never give up on you.
01:17:09Let me say something.
01:17:11No, you're doing great.

01:17:52I could ever ask for.
