00:13to use. In today's tutorial, I'm going to show you how to create your own Shopify store step-by-step
00:18so you don't have to pay anybody to do it for you. People are really out here charging thousands of
00:23dollars to build a store for you and I promise you that it's much simpler than you might think.

00:42beautiful Shopify store step-by-step, but I will also be giving you done for you products to sell
00:47and templates that I paid hundreds of dollars for, for completely free. This tutorial will work
00:52whether you're selling a physical product, doing dropshipping, have an inventory-based e-commerce
00:57store, selling handmade goods, digital products, and so much more. So let's dive in. Throughout
01:02this tutorial, I will also be following this guide that I made for launching your own digital
01:07product. And if you want to follow along with me, I will leave a link to our free community in the
01:11description box down below. You can join completely free of charge, then simply click on tools right
01:14over here, open up this post and then simply click on digital products. That will then open up this
01:20document over here. Then you can just click on file, click on make a copy and just make a copy
01:24for yourself so that you can make changes to this document. To build your store on Shopify,
01:28you can just go directly to shopify.com. I'm not going to leave any affiliate links in the
01:32description or whatsoever. This video is not sponsored by Shopify. So you can just click on
01:35start a free trial. Then you can answer a few questions about yourself, or you can also just
01:39skip these questions and just answer them later on. Now you can simply just open and enter some
01:44details about yourself. Now you simply want to click on online store here on the left-hand side.
01:48Once there, you just want to go to the teams section, the left-hand side, and you will see
01:52popular free themes available on Shopify. Now there are also a lot of paid themes, but you don't
01:56necessarily have to pay for them because these are all really, really good. And once you find a theme
02:00you like, you can just click on add. And for the purpose of this video, I'm just going to use the
02:04refresh theme, which is going to be installed in less than a minute. Once installed, you just want
02:07to click on customize and you can simply start working on your store. Here on the left-hand
02:11side, you can change the settings, you can change logo colors, and you can change the theme as well,
02:16just to see what works better for the kinds of products you will be selling. And if you have no
02:20idea what kind of products to sell, you can always refer to that document and just go through it
02:24step by step. So step number one is choosing the digital product idea. Digital products can include
02:29eBooks, online courses, templates, resources, digital art, recipes, meal plans, graphic design,
02:35writing services like blog posts, et cetera. Let's say for example, kinds of digital products that I
02:40want to sell are going to be these digital guides for social media that I made quite a few of. And
02:45one of them is this digital guide, like a checklist, which is for YouTube creators to make
02:50sure that their videos are actually going viral and getting views. And if I want to sell that,
02:53I will just make it inside of Google Drive or Google Documents, and I click on download and
02:57just download this as a PDF document. Then we can simply create the avatar, like the kind of person
03:01that we will be targeting with these products. Now for me, I would just open up this avatar
03:06checklist and then I would just go in and answer all of these questions. I would really think about
03:09who am I trying to target here? What is their background? What is their desired situation? Are
03:13they trying to get more views? Are they trying to grow their YouTube channel? Are they trying to
03:16make more money for their YouTube channel? Are they trying to save time while working on their
03:19YouTube channel? I really want to think about who am I trying to target here. Once I've done that,
03:23I also have some blueprint building questions, like what is the offer? What is the thing that
03:27I'm trying to sell with my Shopify store? Then I can choose a name for my product using this prompt.
03:31And all of these prompts that I will list for free, all you got to do is just open up chatgpt
03:36at chatgpt.com. Then take one of those prompts and just change the variables in the brackets.
03:40So you copy this, you go back and you change the industry. Let's say I want a business name that
03:44combines YouTube creators and business as an industry. And I also want it to be related to
03:50some kind of name. So this is going to be very simple. Here's the name of my store. Then I do
03:54recommend investing in an actual custom domain because it's going to make so much difference
03:59and going to make your entire store look way more legit. For example, Rihanna has rihanna.store for
04:05her merch store and Shopify uses shopify.com. And notice the endings of these links. That part is
04:11the domain name and it sets each website apart. And I'm personally creating all of my online
04:16stores with the .store domain because it makes most sense from the customer's perspective. Even
04:20MrBeast, Cristiano Ronaldo, and a million others are doing the same thing. If you're in the online
04:26store game, it also makes your store easier to find. Here's the most important thing you need
04:30to know as a seller. You can sell more when your online store is on a .store domain. In a unique
04:3612-month long study, data conclusively proved that a store domain allowed you to sell more.
04:43A website on a .store domain gets 87% more traffic. So seeing a .store domain in a website
04:50link instantly tells users that they can buy from you. More traffic, more sales, more money in the
04:55bank. An online store on a .store domain also gets double the visibility. The keyword store is more
05:02intuitive and your customers are using it while looking for your product category on Google. It's
05:07no wonder that a million sellers, including the likes of brands like Discord, Emirates Airlines,
05:13and celebrities like MrBeast, Cristiano Ronaldo, and so many more are using a .store domain. It's
05:19a no-brainer, really. If you're selling online, you got to do it on a .store domain. So I'm going
05:24to leave a link to this company that I use in the description box down below. And get.store
05:29gives you access to discounts up to two and a half thousand dollars on more e-commerce tools like
05:33Wix, Elevate.store. And Elevate.store is open to everybody, but the discounts jump significantly
05:39if you're using a .store domain. So you can buy a .store domain from pretty much anywhere, but I
05:44found a promotion for you. For a limited time, you can get a .store domain for only 99 cents.
05:50So I put a link in the description box down below, and you can just use the code
05:54DaveNik at checkout. So let me actually show you how to do it. So once you've clicked the link in
05:58the description, it's going to take you to this page over here. You can just enter the name of
06:02your store, then simply click on get yours. And if that store name is available, then just click on
06:07add to cart and click proceed. Once here, you can either use this coupon or you can change it to
06:12DaveNik. Once you apply this new coupon, you can see that the price of this domain for the first
06:16year is only going to be 99 cents. Now, I do recommend having a privacy protection, which is
06:21going to be around $8. If you, for some reason, don't want that, even though it is extremely
06:26recommended, it's still going to be just 99 cents and you can just place an order. Then that's going
06:30to take you to this page. All you got to do is click on create an account and there's some basic
06:34details about yourself and just click on create an account. Now, honestly, you don't really have
06:38to stress too much about the design of the online store as much as you should be stressing about the
06:43actual products and getting traffic. So let's go deeper into that instead. So you're going to go
06:47back to the dashboard. You are then just simply going to click on pages here on the left-hand
06:51side. And if you want to add the about page or let's say you want to add terms and conditions,
06:55all you got to do is click on add a page. Let's say I'm going to title this page terms and
06:59conditions for my shipping and for the content itself, just go to ChatGPT and ask it, could you
07:04please write an entire shipping policy page for that online store? We really want to be nice with
07:09AI. Then you can pretty much just state this entire policy that ChatGPT has generated, even
07:14though it's still doing it. I just want to show you how simple it is. Copy this, you go back to
07:18your store, you paste it into the content section and you can just click save. Then simply go to the
07:22navigation section here on the left-hand side. And once there, you just want to click on add menu.
07:27You want to open up the main menu and just click on add menu item. Then just find it here on the
07:32right-hand side and just click on add and save menu. Now, if we were to view our online store,
07:37we can find the terms and conditions for shipping right over here. And this is how it actually looks
07:42like. Now to start adding products to your online store, all you got to do is go to products here
07:46on the left-hand side and just click on add a product. Now, if again, this product is going
07:50to be this checklist that I made. And again, it can either be a physical or digital product. It
07:55doesn't really matter. In this case, it is a digital product. I can also use AI to generate
07:59the description. So all I got to do is describe what this product is all about. And it's going
08:03to generate text that I can just integrate. In terms of the price, I can just set that,
08:07let's say $99. I don't really need to track quantity because it is a digital product.
08:12There is no stock. And since it is a digital product, I don't necessarily need to charge
08:17tax, but bear in mind that you will be the one paying taxes on the product. So you can either
08:21keep it or uncheck it. I will just leave it like this. I also want to select this is not a physical
08:26product if it's not. And once you're done, just click save. Now you can see that we have our first
08:30product listed. And if you want to create more products, just click on add product right over
08:34here. Now, a very important thing is to actually set up how you're going to be getting paid for
08:38these products that you are selling, regardless of whether they're physical or digital. Well,
08:42you just want to go to finances here on the left-hand side. And once there, you just want
08:46to select a plan. Now, Shopify plans go anywhere from $29 to $2,000 a month, but you can just get
08:52started for completely free with a basic one. And always do bear in mind that you can just cancel
08:56it anytime. Once you complete that, you can just set up your Shopify payments over here and you can
09:01start collecting tax as well. Now, as you probably noticed, Shopify does give you a free domain for
09:06this website that you are building. And you can just sure right away, get started with that. You
09:11don't need any extra steps. You can start promoting your store. And once you're sure about your
09:15business and that this is something that you actually want to do. Now to connect this domain,
09:19you're just going to go back to your Shopify account. You're going to click on the settings
09:22right over here. And once there, just click on domain. Now you just want to connect an existing
09:26domain. Then you're simply going to enter the same domain that you bought from .store. Once you do
09:31that, just click on next. So now just go back to get.store, click on control panel. And then you
09:36just want to click on manage orders. Now right there, you're going to find a domain that you
09:40just bought. And once you're here, just scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on manage
09:44DNS right over here. Then you're simply going to click on add a record right over here. And the
09:49hostname could just be left blank, but now you want to go back to Shopify. And the destination
09:54address for Shopify is going to be this code right over here. So you can pause the video right now to
09:59copy these numbers. Or I will also ask the editor to put numbers big on the screen so that everyone
10:05can see them quite easily. Then just click on add a record. Now you simply want to click on C name
10:10records right over here and click on add a C name record. So now just want to go back to Shopify and
10:15take that domain that Shopify gave you for completely free. Then just go back and paste
10:20that right over here and simply add a www. and then your store name, and then just click on add
10:27a record. And then we're going to do that for the second time. You want to click on add a C name
10:31record. You want to type in www. And now instead of pasting that domain that Shopify gave to you,
10:36you just want to click here and enter shops.myshopify.com. Once you do that, just click
10:42add a record. So now just go back to Shopify and click on verify connection. Bear in mind that this
10:47can take up to 48 hours to complete and for them to confirm your domain. But if you see SSL pending,
10:54you're on a good track. And congrats, now your store is ready to start selling. And in this free
