00:00After barely any sleep, these MPs are back at the National Assembly, a day after allegations
00:06of ballot stuffing upset the first round of voting to elect its new vice-presidents.
00:12After counting, ballot boxes were found to contain 10 more envelopes than the number
00:15of eligible voters.
00:18An unprecedented event that prompted outrage among lawmakers.
00:22I say this with a lot of anger and even rage, shame on those who committed this fraud in
00:30our National Assembly.
00:34Following a second vote, six MPs were elected, two from the far-left party France Unbowed,
00:39two from the Republican Party on the right, and two from President Macron's camp.
00:43Meanwhile, a major disappointment for the far-right National Rally, who failed to keep
00:48its two outgoing candidates in their positions.
00:52The rules stipulate that the National Assembly must represent everyone in the chamber.
01:00Meanwhile the France Unbowed MP Eric Coquerel was elected president of the Finance Committee,
01:05the most coveted position of all.
