00:00Okay then Chris, so we're at Burton Borough School in Newport, just explain what you've done, what you've completed.
00:05So I've cycled 100 miles over three days, so 33.33 miles each day.
00:10Wow, goodness me. And just explain what it was all about and what it's all for.
00:14So it's for Stoke Ward 228, which is neurology and parts of the brain and stuff like that, where my mum's had operations and your mum.
00:23Yeah, because you're brother and sister aren't you?
00:25Yeah.
00:26That's it, that's it.
00:27Yeah, I spent a long time there.
00:29Yeah, yeah. So just explain what happened with your mum, what, you know, regarding the brain operations and that.
00:35So there's been lots of surgeries such as shunts implemented in the head and there's such a large amount of different surgeries that have been done there.
00:46She's there now at the moment isn't she?
00:47Yeah.
00:48Right.
00:48Yeah.
00:49And you just felt you wanted to give something back, aren't you?
00:51Yeah, I wanted to give something back.
00:52Absolutely.
00:52And there's also people who are close to us around us that have been there as well, like a member of staff from here.
00:58Oh yeah.
00:59And people who are close, so.
01:02Absolutely.
01:02Just a way to give back.
01:04And Ellie, you're the family liaison officer.
01:06Yeah.
01:06Just explain how you feel about all this and what you think Chris has done.
01:09It's absolutely amazing. It's been a real privilege to be able to put updates on the family bulletin and let, you know, everybody out there know what Chris has been doing.
01:18He was a first class student when he was here. I had the privilege of being his examined vigilator and he was a model student.
01:25And yeah, we're just so proud of him here at the school. Absolutely wonderful.
01:29And how did it go? How was the journey?
01:32It was good. It was quite a nice route actually, so.
01:34Right. And what was the route again? Just explain what it was.
01:36So it was from where I live to Newport and then Newport to Stafford.
01:41Right.
01:41Which was about 12 miles and then back. So 12 miles there, 12 miles back and then.
01:45And that was over three days.
01:46Yeah.
01:46Yeah.
01:47Fantastic. It was a fantastic achievement.
01:49Yeah.
01:49And well done. And no, it's a really admirable thing to do.
01:53Thank you.
