00:00Now! Climate justice, now!
00:07It sets a terrible precedent. We want to retain at all costs the right in this country to
00:13be able to peacefully protest against things which are incredibly important and at the
00:18moment our entire species history rests upon us addressing climate breakdown and biodiversity
00:24loss. These people were raising those issues in a way that we are now having this conversation.
00:30Just Stop Oil want a just transition away from our dependence on fossil fuels to renewable
00:35energies. That's exactly what they want and that's what the Labour government have said
00:39that they are going to move to implement. So why are we sending these people to prison
00:44when we've got prisons which are overflowing and we're going to have to let people out?
00:48It's frankly bonkers.
