00:00You were part of a violent mob, and you were playing your part to the full.
00:07You were not being directed by others.
00:11You were doing this of your own volition.
00:15You were at the front, not towards the rear.
00:22You have brought shame on yourself and the town in which you live.
00:29You must be punished for what you did.
00:33In this case, because of your participation in the attack on the hotel,
00:39in which vulnerable people were housed,
00:43and you went into those premises,
00:48I can, so it seems to me, move upwards.
00:52But due to the mitigation and all the circumstances,
00:57I will not impose a notional sentence following a trial
01:03higher than four and a half years' imprisonment,
01:06of which six months is in respect of the racist element.
01:11Trevor Lloyd, the sentence I pass upon you
01:14for your participation in this dreadful example of violent disorder
01:19is three years' imprisonment.
01:22I also impose the necessary statutory charge.
01:26The hearing is now concluded.
01:28Please make your way to the door, and an officer will collect you from there.
