00:00Now the NL, the Phillies have the best record in all of MLB 62 and 34 at the
00:09All-Star break. They sit in that top spot with a comfortable lead over the LA
00:15Dodgers. Of course, these two faced each other at this point last week in
00:18Philadelphia and the Phil swept LA. A six and a half game advantage for the
00:24Phaetons atop everybody in the National League. The Brewers atop the National
00:29League Central. Third best mark 55 and 42 in front of the Braves who had that
00:35top spot in the National League wildcard race. The Cardinals there as well in the
00:40New York Mets turning things on since the month of June when they were nine
00:44games below 500 entering. Occupy that third and final NL wildcard spot with a
00:51game lead over both the D-backs and the Padres. DRS, what do you make of the
00:56National League playoff picture at the All-Star break? I mean, we talk about
01:00parity. I don't really think there's all that much parity here in the National
01:03League because when you take a look at legitimate teams to win the pennant, it
01:07probably starts and ends with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los
01:09Angeles Dodgers. Now granted, it's not a slight to say that Milwaukee is a solid
01:14team. They are, but they don't have a chance. The Atlanta Braves, 53 and 42,
01:17they are, but they really don't have a chance. St. Louis Cardinals, Mets,
01:20Diamondbacks, come on now. Those teams probably aren't gonna challenge at the
01:23top. Granted, you could have disaster scenarios on teams. The Dodgers can all
01:27get injured. The Phillies can all get injured. We understand where we're going
01:30with that, but also as we get to a little bit later in the pick, six
01:33players to watch down the stretch, there's one that I'm not going to
01:36reveal, but he is on the Atlanta Braves as somebody I need to see more of down
01:40the stretch to see if Atlanta can be a true competitor. But if we're just
01:43looking at the marketplace, it is quite shocking, though, to see the
01:46Philadelphia Phillies. Okay, eight and a half game lead in their own division.
01:49That probably means the Dodgers only two to three games back. The Dodgers six
01:52and a half games back, which is direct, you know, reflection of what the
01:55Phillies did to the Dodgers in that three game sweep, really, to buffer
01:59that granted the Phillies and have a great series against the Oakland
02:01Athletics and the run differential, which is a plus 1 10 took a 15 point
02:05shot there on that last day as they got crushed by 15 runs against of all
02:10teams, the Athletics. But I do think the Phillies right now, looking at
02:13their pitching staff, it's healthy. Zach Wheeler Ranger Suarez got an extra
02:16break before the all star break. Now they'll be able to come back in full
02:19form. You take a look at J. T. Real Muto, one of the best catchers in
02:22Major League Baseball. He's set to come back within the week here. Bryce
02:25Harper is healthy. Schwerber is healthy. Injuries do happen during the season.
02:28Quite frankly, that happened to the Philadelphia Phillies as well. Atlanta
02:31Braves. But just a synopsis. Overall, it looks for me right now. The
02:35Philadelphia Phillies right now are the best team in Major League Baseball, and
02:38they should be slotted in that position here as that number one seed.
