Was selling Glen Kamara a good move for Leeds United?
Transcript
00:00I liked Glenn Kamara in the championship. I thought his ball retention was good. I thought
00:06I really liked the way he disguised his intentions, but I would have liked more goals and assists.
00:11I mean, how many times did he get the ball 25 yards from goal and opt not to shoot,
00:17but instead went for a sideways pass? It was almost like a complex of his. And I asked him
00:24midway through the season, when are we going to see you hit one from 25 yards? And he said,
00:28I know, I know it's coming, it's coming. I've had a few chances, but it never came. And three
00:34assists, was it? Four assists actually in all competitions from 30, mid 30s appearances,
00:41something like that. Yeah, it's not, it's not ideal for a number eight, is it? We know that
00:51Farker wanted more in terms of goals and assists from his midfield. He wanted them more from
00:54everywhere because the defence didn't really chip in as they could have. The midfield absolutely
01:02did not chip in as they could have. And you have to look at your number eight. Personally,
01:10my feeling was that unless they doubled their money, that it didn't make sense to look at
01:16Kamara and even doubling their money, which they feel they nearly did. That's what they think.
01:22That's what they're saying anyway. Even with that said, it only makes sense if you replace him
01:28with someone who brings more goals and assists. And I don't mean Joe Rothwell, I mean another.
01:37So, so it'll only be looked on as, it can only be looked on as good business.
01:41If the squad build at the end of it all, the end of the transfer window is adequate,
01:45you know, and that, that includes the position. So, so we'll see, you know, they'll be judged
01:49on what they do and the strength of their work when the football starts.
