00:00In the deepest, darkest places of Valkatar is where you'll find her.
00:04Here's your look at the four horsemen, Cosmic Legion's Vorga.
00:09Blood-soaked and deadly, the lowermost ring of prison cells in Valkatar is not so affectionately
00:32known as the Grave Ring.
00:33A dreaded block of cells is known for housing the roughest and most disruptive inmates in
00:37the prison.
00:38This is where you'll find Vorga.
00:39A former edgehounder, a highly trained special ops division of the policing force known as
00:43the Interorbital Perimeter Guard, Vorga's skill set and attitude have earned her the
00:47reputation as one of Valkatar's most dangerous residents.
00:51Despite her tough demeanor, her warm personality and unyielding sense of honor prompts others
00:55to align with her whenever is possible.
00:58You'll seldom find honor among inmates, and yet Vorga is a shining example of it.
01:02Just before, of course, we get a closer look at the Cosmic Legion's Vorga, I'd like to
01:05thank if I can the folks over at Four Horsemen that were kind enough to provide the sample
01:09we could have a look at.
01:10We have already looked at Sligor Riz.
01:12We will be bringing him in more in a moment, though first the tape measure is going to
01:15tell us that Vorga is going to stand at about six and a half inches in height.
01:19I'm keeping in mind, of course, the ponytail on the back of her head kind of giving her
01:22that height, and the figure works out to be about 17 centimeters tall.
01:27Yes!
01:28Speaking of Sligor, sliding over though Vorga and bringing the earlier look at Sligor Riz.
01:32If you guys did though want to have go back and check out my full review of Sligor, you
01:36should be able to find it easily here on this channel.
01:37We looked at them both this week.
01:39From a height standpoint, Vorga is going to be a slight shorter figure compared though
01:42to Riz, but they both are using modular pieces so you could mix and match the parts that
01:47come included with them.
01:48As for Vorga's parts, her accessory count though isn't as high as the earlier looked
01:51at Sligor Riz.
01:53Keep in mind though that Riz was also part of the Gravekeepers, and I think when the
01:56Four Horsemen were designing the look of that character, all those modular cool armor pieces
02:00that he had was more to accommodate the idea that you could mix and match the parts and
02:04get the various different looks for the Gravekeepers.
02:06Now Vorga keeps it a little more on the lighter side.
02:08She comes included with, for example, a pair of swappable hands, some attachable shoulder
02:12pads, a really cool gnarly looking gun, and an interchangeable head sculpt.
02:16Backing up though just a bit, the one other thing that the figure comes also included
02:19with that kind of has me a little scratching my head is that she also comes included with
02:22the clear posts.
02:23Now these were the same posts that also came included with Sligor's.
02:26The thing about it though is that there's nothing on the figure that would accommodate
02:29needing these in the first place.
02:31Granted she does have holes on the sides of her forearms, and she does also have technically
02:34holes in the back of her backpack, but if to look at the gun, and we're kind of jumping
02:37right away to looking at the cool looking gun that she comes included with, nowhere
02:40can I actually see on here a hole placement where you would then take those clear posts
02:44and attach them.
02:46Now when we looked at say for example Sligor, his rifle, remember there was a hole there
02:49on the side that if you wanted to take the post, now he came in with them as well, you
02:53would just attach them onto the side, and then if you wanted to attach them say for
02:56example onto Vorga, that she has a hole there on the sides of her forearms, she actually
03:00has them on both sides, and she has them placed on the sides of her backpack.
03:03So you could take for example the gun and attach it onto her forearms, you can also
03:06again attach it onto her backpack if you really wanted to, which is fun and good, but it just
03:10doesn't serve much of a purpose for her specifically.
03:13My only idea is that when it came to when the Four Horsemen were designing these characters,
03:16I think they just wanted to include other accessories that you could then, even though
03:20she doesn't really necessarily need those clear posts, you could use them then for another
03:23figure and it's always really good to have extra of these things just in case you lose
03:26them.
03:27Speaking of things that you could technically lose, which I don't hope I will, I mean she
03:31does also come included with a pair of swappable hands.
03:33To be all honest and fair, the gripping hands that she has right now on the ends of her
03:36forearms are fine and good to actually accommodate the big cool gun that she comes included with.
03:41She doesn't necessarily need these, but I think again the idea in mind is even though
03:44she doesn't really have accessories to accommodate these hands, you could then use other accessories
03:48that come included with other figures, and that's probably why they gave you hands like
03:51this.
03:52The color by the way for the teal, I really like the look of this.
03:54This teal will come back a lot of times when we have a look at the figure, although with
03:58the figure, as for shoulder pads were the case, they also add some additional highlights
04:02of green.
04:03The shoulder pads themselves, let's look at those right now.
04:06These are actually not necessarily the same molding, but the same configuration as the
04:10earlier looked at Sligor.
04:12If you look at the placement and the size of the pegs, they're exactly the same.
04:17So you could, if you wanted to, use obviously Vorga's shoulder pads.
04:20You could, if you wanted to, use also Sligor's shoulder pads and they attach the exact same
04:24way.
04:25If we pick up the figure and we spin her around, you're not going to be able to display much
04:29of anything in the way of shoulder pads because this large backpack is in the way.
04:32There is still holes on the sides, so if you really did want to make use of those shoulders,
04:36you could still, in theory, dowel them onto the sides of the holes and you could just
04:40attach them onto the back of her body that way.
04:42Doesn't really make much sense, does it?
04:44You could, I suppose, also give her some sort of forearm guards, and again those would just
04:47be plugged in place as they're all using the same universally sized holes.
04:51To get, though, the full effect involves her having to take the backpack off.
04:55We're going to come back to this anyways because this would play a heavy role when
04:58it comes to the ammunition belt that comes included with the gun.
05:01But for the meantime, at least, we're going to remove this from their torso that just
05:04attaches like that.
05:05And it attaches and detaches the exact same way as the earlier Riz.
05:08There's a little slot in the back and basically the backpacks fit on the back.
05:13Now, if you wanted to, for example, do I have Riz's?
05:16I don't think I have Riz's in front of me right now.
05:18Riz's backpack, though, won't fit onto the back of Vorga primarily because she's got
05:22this collar piece on the tops of her armor.
05:25This is already attached, and it's actually attached by the back here, so there's no way
05:29to remove this collar piece.
05:30Even though it looks like it's a floating piece, you'll see in a second, you can't remove
05:33it.
05:34But let's actually grab the shoulder pads here.
05:37The only thing I would say about the shoulder pads is that they're hard to get on the back
05:40of her body.
05:41Not that the holes are too small, but I feel like I haven't doweled them nearly enough.
05:45You basically have to take the shoulders and you really have to work them in there to get
05:48them actually attached in place.
05:51Kind of twisting them is really your best friend, and even then, I find that they're
05:54a struggle to get onto her body.
05:56Now, that's attaching one of them, and for all intents and purposes, if you wanted to,
06:00you could attach, even though this is really the wrong side, you could also attach Riz's
06:03shoulder pad also on the other side, as they're universally using the same sized pegs.
06:08It's just, though, a real struggle to actually attach the shoulder pads.
06:12I feel like I just have to work a little bit harder.
06:14You could also really, I mean, even they recommend this when it comes to the joints on the figure,
06:18really heat these up with a hairdryer.
06:20I might even just take that same advice and heat the back of her body, just so that the
06:23pegs fit a little easier on the backs.
06:25Either way, though, we're going to take the backpack, going to plug it back in place anyways,
06:29because it's going to serve a bigger purpose anyways.
06:32Now, the figure also comes included.
06:34I know this whole time we've kind of been talking about a gun.
06:36Let's actually get a closer look at this.
06:38It's a really cool looking gun, though.
06:39Very large in size, a lot bigger, obviously, than Riz's earlier looked at, and I keep saying
06:43earlier looked at, the looked at rifle that we saw before.
06:47It's colored also in a very nice, shiny silver.
06:50All this additional accents that they've added there as well.
06:53They've even painted a wire there on the back there, too, and it looks like there's almost
06:56like a leather-like hide on the top.
06:58Now, there's a handle on the front.
07:00There's the trigger handle on the back, and really, again, with the hands that she has
07:03right now, you don't even need to think about swapping out the hands right away, as those
07:06hands are perfectly for these.
07:08She does also come included with an ammunition belt.
07:10Now, the thing about this, though, is while there is some bendability to it, the problem
07:14with it, though, is it isn't so much attaching onto the side of the gun.
07:18The bigger struggle, really, is honestly attaching this onto the back of her backpack, and it
07:22sort of is the same struggle I had with her shoulder pads.
07:25There's the slot on the bottom right there, if I move my finger out of the way.
07:28This should, in theory, attach onto the bottom of it.
07:31The problem with it, though, is that it's so close in quarters, you really have to fight
07:35it to get it in there, and once it's in there, the moment you start to bend this around to
07:39get her to hold the gun, it usually then pops this back out from her backpack.
07:44So I'm going to maybe see if I can heat this up again with a hair dryer.
07:47It's just enough to soften up the plastic a little bit.
07:49It might make things a lot easier to attach the belt.
07:52Anyways, though, if you did want to attach this, I'm just going to leave this off for
07:54at least right now.
07:56If you did want to attach this into her hands, kind of just bend the arm, get it in the configuration
08:00you would think it should be for her to hold the handles, and then just take one of the
08:03handles and fit that into her hands.
08:05Don't worry if the hand ends up popping out from the form.
08:07You can easily pop those back in place.
08:09And then just take the other hand, literally on the other hand, and then fit it around
08:13the trigger joystick.
08:15And again, this might be a little bit difficult just because, again, if you look at the fingers
08:18themselves, let me just show you, the fingers curl in towards the palm.
08:23So it's not just a case where it's a flat palm.
08:26You kind of have to work it to get it around the handle.
08:29There we go.
08:30And then, of course, the only other thing then left to do is just take the ammunition
08:33belt that just attaches on the bottom, and then you just attach it onto the back of the
08:36backpack.
08:37Now, again, while she doesn't have as many parts configurable on her, really, though,
08:43if you wanted to, I'm just going to remove the gun for right now, put it off to the side.
08:46Some of the parts...
08:47Just put the hand back in place here.
08:48Some of the parts that we did get earlier from Sligor was one of them, like, for the
08:52example, the hoses.
08:53Now, the hose, even though, again, she doesn't come included with it, you could take the
08:57hose, plug it onto the side of her body, and again, that would just plug onto the backpack
09:02there as well.
09:04Riz also came included with the little projection of the, I guess, outer space.
09:08You could also take that and also plug that onto her body.
09:12So even though, really, she doesn't have as many things to come included with her with,
09:16you could still then use the other things that came included with the other Cosmic Legion
09:19characters.
09:21The last thing we'll have a look at for the figure is that she also comes with an interchangeable,
09:25swappable head sculpt.
09:26Out of the packaging, I think she actually comes with the better of the two.
09:30It's a really pretty face, despite the fact that she is an alien.
09:33She's got blue eyes, equally nice blue painted there on the top of her head there as well.
09:37There is one little area right here, if I get my finger out of the way, there's a little
09:40bit of a bleed from the beige around it.
09:42Other than that, though, it's a really nice painted head sculpt.
09:45Really, though, the Four Horsemen have really impressed me with what they've done here with
09:48the Cosmic Legion characters.
09:49So for how well painted the figures are, and such unique design characters too, it's never
09:54been a figure line I've ever seen these characters where you could look at them and say, okay,
09:57they've taken some inspirations from other things.
10:00They really are their own characters in themselves.
10:03Now, the one other thing that she comes included with, as already mentioned, is she comes with
10:07a swappable head sculpt, which I would imagine would be still the same Vorga, just with a
10:11breathing mask on the front of her face.
10:13What it does unfortunately lose, though, while it does gain the benefits of really stellar
10:16looking sculpted mask, it unfortunately, though, loses some of the prettier aspects of her
10:20face, like her nose and her mouth.
10:22If you did want to change out the face sculpt, though, it's just a case of popping the head
10:25off the ball joint.
10:26Now, while you're doing that, sometimes, though, you'll notice that the neck comes off too.
10:30The neck is actually, if I just take this off here, the neck is actually attached by
10:35a peg too.
10:36Periodically, though, and I haven't yet done this, periodically, though, while you're changing
10:39out the heads, it sometimes does pop the neck off.
10:42Luckily, though, in front of the cameras, I haven't done that just yet.
10:44But anyways, basically, even though it's a very large ball joint, it easily accommodates
10:48the little indentation, the little socket section of her head, and you just pop that
10:53in place.
10:54And I did say earlier, though, if you did have yourself another figure backpack, so
10:58like from the Riz, we're just going to pop the backpack off of her.
11:03And if you did want to use his, for example, the only thing, unfortunately, about that,
11:06I'm just going to grab his, just happen to have it over here.
11:10Riz's has the same slot here.
11:13Now, I did say, though, one of the downsides, and it isn't necessarily a downside, it just
11:17means that you can't, it's not as modular when Vorga comes into play, like just the
11:21fact that if you're going to, I'm just going to remove her head for right now.
11:24This collar piece, for all intents and purposes, you could take Riz's backpack and fit it in
11:29place because it's got the same peg and it's got that same slot in the same section.
11:33You can't do it, though, because this collar piece isn't going to come off.
11:37Even though it's loose on the front and it's separately detached from the rest of her torso,
11:41it is, though, attached on the back of her body and there's no way to remove it.
11:44So it isn't in the sense that you could customize everything on this figure, unless you were
11:48to say, fit that, no, there's really no way to fit that around her body.
11:52So you really wouldn't be able to use many other backpacks with this particular figure
11:55just because the collar piece can't really come off.
11:57Let's get her head back in place here.
12:01Now again, while she maybe lacks some of the accessories, where I feel the figure does
12:04really shine the most is the paint applications on her.
12:07She sort of starts in kind of a very dark tan color, but sort of sunset shaded here
12:13with all this additional kind of brown.
12:14It really does look good on the figure.
12:16This teal that we talked about earlier really does make the figure look quite good and I
12:19like the color myself.
12:21It isn't even so much just all teal either.
12:23They've also airbrushed a little bit of green highlights there as well.
12:26You saw also that as well when we looked at the shoulder pads and some of that highlighting
12:29is also added there to the forearms and down below here on the legs.
12:32So it isn't just a singular color of paint.
12:35The armor does look good though.
12:36It isn't quite even just silver either.
12:38It's almost got a little bit of a brownish tint to it.
12:42Some really nice additional teal accents, a very integrate looking belt too.
12:45I'm just going to move these arms out of the way.
12:47The belt seems to be a separate piece.
12:49So these little side pieces, the little side guards here for her legs are all attached
12:53actually to her belt.
12:55So when you were to remove the belt, which basically involved you taking the top of the
12:57torso off, the belt looks like when you slide that off, you'd basically be sliding everything
13:02else off in the process.
13:03But this is all fairly soft and plastic.
13:05Again, you can kind of see the inner workings of the figure underneath.
13:08The plastic for the quality feels pretty good on these.
13:11It's kind of a more of a denser kind of plastic, but it doesn't feel like the kind of plastic
13:14where I'm really worrisome about anything really breaking on her.
13:17Now for the figure's articulation, it's pretty much going to be in line with Sligor's in
13:21that the head does rotate all the way around.
13:23So it's going to be on its own ball joint, but then it already has that peg that attached
13:26the head to the rest of the body.
13:28The head looks down about that far, it looks up, and you can also move it back and forth
13:31as well.
13:32Now, Vorga's upper torso, once again, is going to be on that ball joint.
13:37Full disclosure though, I did notice that when I got this figure out of the packaging
13:39that the joints were really tight on her.
13:40So I did take the advice of the included card, actually, you know what, let's put the figure
13:44down here for a second while she's got her arms spread like this.
13:48The included pamphlet basically just tells you that the joints on Mythic Legion figures
13:52can become tight after production.
13:53When posing Mythic Legion figures for the first time, especially during cold weather,
13:57it's recommended that you heat them in form of a warm air or a hair dryer, or warm water
14:01can also be used.
14:03That's basically just summing up all the stuff that comes included with it.
14:05So really, I did take that advice because when I took Vorga first out of the packaging,
14:08I noticed that her arms were really tight, almost to that worrying levels of tightness
14:12where if I felt if I was putting too much pressure on this, that would probably snap
14:16the joint.
14:17It wasn't going to snap the joint, but I think I was just being overly cautious.
14:20So what I ended up doing, though, I kind of stepped away from everything and grabbed my
14:23hair dryer, took a few passes, and that was enough to actually soften up the plastic.
14:27So the joints do rotate all the way around.
14:28They hinge out easily at 90 degrees.
14:30She only has a straight swivel there on her forearm, but also does bend at the elbow and
14:34the hands do rotate.
14:35The hands don't rotate though all the way around because she's got this arm guard that's
14:38kind of in the way of things.
14:40You can kind of rotate the arm, but you'll kind of feel this resistance when it hits
14:43this part of the cuff.
14:45Again, you got the upper torso ball joint, legs split, again, forward and back on those.
14:50The thing about the legs, though, is that she has a swivel cut, not necessarily at the
14:53top of the thigh, but rather there's a swivel right here.
14:57So there's a swivel about, what, three quarters of the way up the thigh.
15:00That allows the figure of the leg to rotate all the way around.
15:02Vorga's leg does have a single hinge that allows as well the lower leg to rotate, and
15:06she does also have an ankle pivot back and forth and an ankle rocker as well.
15:09I really like this figure a lot, where again, I feel like she lacks a little bit, which
15:14is fine and good.
15:15I mean, not all the figures necessarily will have as many customizable parts, say, for
15:20example, as Sligor, but where I feel like she lacks some of the modular parts that came
15:25with Riz, I think what she does succeed in doing is a really stellar looking sculpt.
15:31Not only is she sculpted really well, but she's painted extremely well, too.
15:34All the nice additional airbrushing, which we didn't really get as much of a chance to
15:37kind of see when we looked at Sligor.
15:39Sligor had some of it a lot more in his head.
15:42She gets kind of more of it all in her body.
15:44The only thing I really had from a struggle standpoint was, again, like the belt.
15:48The belt just is one of those things which I know I'm just going to have to go back and
15:51ultimately heat up.
15:52Fitting into the backpack was really like the hardest thing to do, and it still continues
15:57to be a really hard thing.
15:58In fact, the few times that I've tried to attach on the backpack, and even then succeeded,
16:02I've worn away a little bit of the corners there, but I'm sure, again, I'll just have
16:05to heat this up and fit that a little bit better on the backpack, and again, like on
16:08the back of her body, the shoulder pads are a little more of a struggle to get in, just
16:11because I think it's more just the fact that straight from the factory, and I've only done
16:15this a few times doing this, trying to take those shoulders, trying to attach them onto
16:19the back of her body.
16:20I probably would have to like work away the holes just a little bit more, but, you know,
16:24all in all, though, a really nice looking figure, though.
16:26Vorga turned out to be a great looking figure.
16:27Once again, you got a lot of customizable parts, maybe not, though, as much as Riz,
16:32but still a fine looking figure anyways.
16:34Still struggling a bit with Vorga's shoulder pads, I ended up taking a hairdryer and heating
16:38the back of her body in the hopes of softening up the plastic enough that I could take the
16:41shoulder pad pegs and attach them a little easier than I was doing in this review.
16:45I've succeeded, but I don't think I've succeeded well enough that they're going to stay in
16:49place the moment I start to turn the figure's head.
16:51One of the downsides, though, of Vorga is the moment you start to rotate her head, if
16:54those shoulder pads aren't firmly attached, then you might find them all often frequently
16:59falling off.
17:01One of the downsides also with them being on there is now she does lose one of the things
17:05like the backpack not having the means to store the ammunition belt, which was also
17:09one of the big struggles I had with this figure.
17:11Two things that I don't think is necessarily a detriment to the figure, it's just you're
17:14going to have to spend a little bit more time working away on it.
17:17As for Vorga herself, I've opted now to display the figure in final looks with the gas mask
17:21or the breathing mask on the front of her face.
17:23It's probably not going to be the way I'm going to settle on displaying her on the shelf.
17:26I think it's too pretty of a head sculpt that she comes with a default out of the packaging
17:30that I'm just going to ultimately be putting this head sculpt back onto the tray and displaying
17:35her more with the nose and with the mouth.
17:37It's just I think of the two head sculpts, the better of the two.
17:39She's a nicely painted figure for what she is.
17:41She doesn't have again as many of the accessories.
