00:00We're very proud of our record on defence. We maintained defence spending at 2% GDP
00:04and indeed increased that over the years. We were the first country to show support for our allies
00:09in Ukraine and we've maintained our defence posture across the world for ourselves and
00:14indeed our allies through the 14 years of the Conservative government. We have one of the most
00:17advanced, most well-equipped militaries in the world and we lead the way when it
00:21comes to the training and all the rest that we're able to offer our allies.
00:24The idea that we've left our armed forces in anything less than a fit state is frankly
00:28ridiculous. We'd committed to spending more on defence, Labour should be doing the same
00:32and instead it's just weasel words from a Labour party that frankly is showing no leadership on
00:36the world stage when it comes to defence and security and indeed is opening up our allies
00:40to criticism as well.
