What have we learnt from Arne Slot through pre-season so far?

00:00On to Liverpool, we discussed Arnie Slott's first press conference and he came across

00:05quite well with his ambitions. We spoke about how he needs to continue on from Jurgen Klopp

00:11in terms of success-wise at the club. There's going to be no room to drop those standards.

00:18In terms of his first week of Slott's pre-season, have we learnt anything from the new boss?

00:24Is it all still looking quite positive?

00:26I think Liverpool Club have done a couple of interviews with the players and they've

00:32really enjoyed Arnie Slott's brought to the table so far. I'm sure the players, this

00:39is no slicing the egg whatsoever, but I'm sure some players just like hearing a new

00:44voice or whatever after nine years of Jürgen Klopp being at the club. It is nice, the ones

00:50who've been there for a long time. I'm sure they wouldn't have been complaining if Klopp

00:55were to stay. It's been a bit of a difficult one for them because there's so many senior

01:02players who are away. It's only Mo Salah, Tyler Wendell, Curtis Jones, Kaveen Keleher,

01:10Kostas Simakas, Harvey Elias who were around last season in terms of senior players. Then

01:17you've got a lot of the youngsters, Fabio Carvalho coming back from his loan spell and

01:22Stefan Van Den Berg as well. The likes of Conor Bradley who has a fantastic breakthrough

01:27campaign. You've got the likes of Ben Doak, Kate Gordon, Stefan Berseta who was around

01:33the first team a couple of years ago and had injuries last season. You do wonder, is Arnie

01:41Slott doing exactly what he needs to do yet in terms of tactics etc? Or is he just nursing

01:49them into it? When more of the senior players come back, the next ones you think about are

01:55Andy Robertson and Dominic Subbot-Slyke. They were eliminated at the group stage in the

02:00Euros. Will Lenny start stepping things up in terms of the ideas that he wants to get

02:06across to his team? It sounds good, it sounds positive. It looks like there have been a

02:11few changes in terms of, there's no where the lattice test or where they got blood taken

02:20that year and clocked it on something else called a six-minute run it looks like, which

02:26is a little bit different. But just changes like that really. I've seen a new goalkeeping

02:31coach who's come in doing some real interesting things, putting noise fenders on goalkeepers and

02:40visually impaired glasses as well, doing passing techniques. So it's interesting what's happening

02:46and I'm sure when Liverpool are soon to fly to America for the pre-season tour,

02:51a lot of people will be looking forward to the games then that they've got underway.
