00:00Take a look at that
00:04Secret Service has a motto that they have to they can't get it wrong ever
00:09You know
00:09They have to get it right a hundred hundred out of a hundred times if they get it right ninety out of a hundred times
00:14That other time could lead to someone being killed or badly hurt as is the case here, right?
00:20they they screwed up or
00:23whoever was responsible for that building screwed up and
00:26And
00:27Yet they have to put that aside
00:28They can't just stop and be like, oh we screwed up keep shooting
00:32And so they did what they had to do the protocol in such situations like this is that cover and evacuate?
00:37They don't pull out guns and start shooting back
00:39That's someone else's job the men on the detail
00:41The men and women on the presidential detail the ones wearing the blazers with the earpieces who kind of surround Trump
00:47You know, they surrounded them not just to get a moving
00:49They were human shields their job is to put their body between the president and the assailant
00:55So they surrounded him
00:57Covering him
00:59Dragging him away because you know, he was like I want my shoes
01:01He didn't want to leave he wanted to finish, you know and getting him into the armored vehicle the safest thing there
01:07It's a very difficult balancing act because the candidate wants to be in front of people
01:11He wants to reach people like they could obviously completely protect Trump by making him stay in Mar-a-Lago the whole time
01:17But that's not gonna work. They have there's risk involved and especially in today's era in the 80s that in the 60s, right?
01:24Look at you know, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. They're out in the public their targets and so
01:31That's what they have to do. They have to balance that and in the end when all of that fails
01:38The one thing standing between the president and a bullet is a human being
01:44One of those agents and that's what they were doing. They were putting their themselves between the president and other assailants
01:51To protect him
