Ilocos Norte to host next Palarong pambansa  Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc arrived in Cebu City on Monday to observe this year's Palarong Pambansa. He said he is taking notes as his province will host the event in 2025. His team visited four playing venues on Monday to observe the games.  Manotoc said that they will closely coordinate with the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association to ensure their oval track complies with international standards. 00:15But we took the opportunity, talakopon yung aming kasama sa sports, media, and IT para magbenchmark din.

00:25We can learn, of course, from this hosting of Palaro.

00:30And of course, Sabu City is very experienced in hosting events.

00:35Mas developed po sa ilang pasmartid.

00:38So we have a challenge to match or hopefully keep up ng itong standard na set ko sa Sabu City.

00:51So we look forward to doing that next year, 2025.

00:58But we were able to go to, I think, four venues, four play venues today.

01:04And very impressed, of course, sa pag-host ng DepEd and ng Sabu City pa.

01:12If I'm not mistaken, you did, but first time po ba?

01:20Okay.

01:21So, nandiyo baka ako eh.

01:24So I don't know the history of hosting.

01:27But yeah, apparently it's our first time to host Palaro ng Paglansan.

01:33Of course, this will not only, even though kami po ang official host,

01:37bumaga what we refer to as Pilatlandia, you know, the region.

01:42So I think we will be held, of course, with the neighboring cities, of course.

01:48I'm talking about that it's possible that some of the nearby cities will also help us hosting Palaro.

01:57For something that remains on track for us to host next year,

02:01I think it will be a very different Palaro, you know, in terms of the size, the infrastructure.

02:10But we'll be able to do it in our own way where we can ensure that the standards are met,

02:17kongparta pa rin naman lahat, you know.

02:19In terms of these mega complexes and schools, let's be honest,

02:25it's obviously not at the same level as Sabu.

02:29But we'll make sure that everyone feels comfortable.

02:33Of course, we comply with all of the sporting standards,

02:39and we work very closely with DEMBEP as well as the private sector

02:44to make sure that we host a successful Palaro.
