00:00So, Gunnar, how does it feel to be an above-the-title actor in this film?
00:07Oh, it's cool.
00:08It was cool to work during quarantine.
00:11It was cool to accept the challenge to dance,
00:14because I've never really danced before.
00:16So, yeah.
00:18Tell us how that experience was.
00:20Are you a dancer now?
00:21No, I'm definitely not.
00:22I haven't danced much since then,
00:24but I'm very, like, if I'm into something,
00:26I throw my, like, soul into it.
00:28So, when they offered me the chance to do this,
00:32I had, like, ten days, I think, until we started filming,
00:35and I kind of just lied a little bit and said that I was a dancer
00:38and I was really good,
00:39and then I had to figure it out really fast.
00:41So, a lot of anxiety, but, yeah, we'll see.
00:46I haven't seen it yet, so I might be trash.
00:48Who knows?
00:50You're not trash.
00:51We have faith in you,
00:52and we are more than sure that you pulled it together.
00:55So, aside from learning how to dance,
00:57can you tell us what was one of your favorite takeaways from making this?
01:01I really enjoyed working with Naya
01:03because he was very much, like, know the scenes,
01:06know the lines, and then make it real.
01:09Like, it's not about what the lines are saying
01:11but more about the life that's behind it,
01:13and that's any project that I want to be involved with,
01:16I lean towards that.
01:19So many are going to have such a real connection to this film.
01:21What's something that you hope audiences leave feeling
01:24once they walk out of that theater?
01:26I don't really know.
01:27It's not up to me, I guess.
01:28I didn't help edit this one
01:29or had anything to do with the direction of it
01:32besides just bringing as much life to the character that I portrayed.
01:36So, I feel like I did my job in that sort.
01:41Yeah.
01:42What's your method for bringing life to the characters that you play?
01:45It's just as real life as, like, well, this is an interview,
01:47so it's a little bit more elevated,
01:49but how I'm talking, how anybody is speaking in this room,
01:52bring that through the lines, and the lines are secondary.
01:55It's the soul.
01:56It's the connection between two people all the time,
01:58so that's what I bring.
02:00Well, one last question for you.
02:01Can you show us one dance move?
02:03Absolutely not.
02:04Are you kidding me?
02:05No.
02:06Look, I'm in boots, and I haven't danced since the movie.
02:10Wait, wait, wait.
02:11I've got to do, like, the, what are those?
02:13Those are, what are those?
02:15I think these are called misbehave.
02:17All right.
02:18Looking for it.
02:19Very swaggy.
02:20What are those?
02:21Oh, my gosh.
02:22All right.
02:23At least do one pose.
02:24One pose?
02:25What kind of pose do you want?
02:26Just mean mug.
02:27Mean mug the camera right now.
02:30This is ridiculous.
02:31Hey, there it is.
02:33Thank you so much, Gunnar.
02:35Congrats on the premiere.
02:36Yeah, it was great to meet you.
02:37Thank you so much.
