Hazrat Abbas, also known as Abbas ibn Ali, was the son of Imam Ali and Ummul Banin. He is highly revered in Islamic history, particularly for his role in the Battle of Karbala, where he served as the standard-bearer for his half-brother, Imam Hussain. Abbas is celebrated for his loyalty, bravery, and sacrifice. Despite overwhelming odds, he fought valiantly and was martyred while attempting to fetch water for the thirsty children in Imam Hussain's camp. His death is mourned by Muslims, especially during the observance of Ashura in the month of Muharram.
