00:00Welcome back. How was your summer?
00:02Yeah, it was really good. Nice to get a few weeks break and get to relax and recharge and stuff like that.
00:08So yeah, it was a nice break, plenty of time and now happy to be back.
00:12It's been a week that we've been back now. How have you found it so far?
00:15And obviously anything you can tell us about working with the new Caip Head Coach?
00:19Yeah, it's been really good to be fair, really enjoyable.
00:23Obviously the first few days we were just testing and stuff and then we got into the actual training sessions,
00:28which have been really good. I think the manager has been excellent so far.
00:33A lot of detail to what he wants us to do, so there's a lot of stuff to take on board.
00:38But he gets his messages across really well and easy to understand as well, which is helpful.
00:44But yeah, his sessions are intense and he pushes us, which is always good.
00:49But yeah, it's been really enjoyable so far, I must say.
00:52Obviously it's fairly early stages ahead of the season, but is the feeling within the squad that the foundation is there to build on after last season?
00:59It's not a new Head Coach, but not a new clean slate. It's building on what we did last year.
01:03Yeah, I think obviously we wanted to win trophies last season and stuff, but I don't think it was a complete disaster.
01:11I think the bones of the squad are still there and we want to push on really.
01:17It's not a rebuild or anything like that, it's just finding those little extra things that can hopefully push us on and get us over the line to win some more trophies.
01:27In terms of you, what are the targets? Looking at as many games as possible again?
01:31Yeah, similar to last year I think really. Obviously we had a lot of games last season, which was really good.
01:38So just looking to do the same really and try to keep the same level of performance as well.
01:43Sam Flies and you came in 2015, so this is preparing for a tenth season at Liverpool. It's not been a bad nine and couple of months?
01:52No, it's obviously been such a long time now since I came over when I was 16.
01:57Time flies, I've enjoyed every minute here to be fair. I just want to try to keep going and keep going in that upward trajectory as well.
02:06It's been really enjoyable and looking to push on.
02:09And just finally, there's a change in the goalkeeping department as well, with John going after such a long time and Fabian coming in.
02:16First impressions and excitement of working with Fabian now?
02:19Yeah, yeah, of course.
02:20I've worked with John for so many years, so you called him in such high regard, I thought he was excellent.
02:27Like you say, it's great that Fabian's come in now. He looks really good, really interesting, full of energy as well, which is good.
02:35And probably bring some new ideas as well, which is interesting and good for the goalkeepers to experience.
02:41Get different opinions on stuff. It's new and exciting, so yeah, looking forward to it.
