00:00Barbie is a worldwide phenomenon.
00:04I love looking plastic fantastic. I love the aesthetic of Barbie.
00:09It's inspirational to everyone, no matter where you come from.
00:12A plastic icon since she first hit shelves over 65 years ago.
00:18As you can see, it's very high maintenance to be a Barbie doll.
00:23But for some, she's more than a doll. She's a way of life.
00:28I have Barbie dolls. I have purses. I have shoes. I have pillows.
00:34I have Barbie toaster. Oh, I have Barbie toilet.
00:39These fans live in their own Barbie world.
00:44There's 2,000 Barbies in this room alone.
00:47Be it surrounded by Barbie or becoming Barbies.
00:52People call us fake or plastic or bimbos.
00:55It's like, yeah, that's my Barbie.
00:59Inspiring each one to create their own Barbie world.
01:02I'm just so grateful to Barbie.
01:05Even though she's not a person to me, she's real.
01:10Starting with Azusa, who's transformed her apartment into a living Barbie shrine.
01:15Hi, my name is Azusa. Welcome to my pink Barbie apartment. Come on in.
01:22For scale 1 to 10, I'd say I'm on 100 Barbie fans.
01:29I design Barbie's nail tips. I make some videos for my YouTube channel.
01:36I do something related to Barbie every day.
01:41I wake up in my pink bed with my Barbie pajamas.
01:46I make my tea with my Barbie kettle.
01:51I'm making pink eggs and pink toast with pink coffee.
01:57Oh my god.
01:59My Barbie microwave is broken.
02:03I use beet juice to make the eggs into pink.
02:08I don't really care what other people think about me.
02:13I just love what I'm doing.
02:16Look, pink egg.
02:18I use pink food coloring for making pink coffee.
02:23It really tastes like coffee.
02:25Pink sparkly sugar.
02:28Now I have pink butter.
02:31Ta-da! I have pink toast with pink egg and pink coffee.
02:37As well as enhancing her meals with a Barbie twist,
02:40Azusa has also made every inch of her home a Barbie dream.
02:44Most Barbie furniture I customize.
02:49I never count it, but I have a lot.
02:54The blinds I did by myself.
02:57It was pretty hard.
02:59If they don't have one, I have to make one.
03:02I'm customizing my pink coffee table, too.
03:09I don't play the guitar.
03:11I tried, but I found that it was impossible with my nails.
03:15So I gave up.
03:19Here's my Barbie bathroom.
03:22I love my Barbie bathroom.
03:24Oh, I have Barbie toilet.
03:27I never really cared how much I was spending money on my Barbie items.
03:32But maybe I have spent over 80,000 American dollars.
03:46Look. These are all Barbie.
03:49I always liked the color pink.
03:52If I wear some other colors besides pink, they always have Barbie logo.
03:58I have more Barbie stuff here.
04:03I'm going to try some different outfits.
04:06I know what I like. I know my style.
04:09I love Barbie, but it's for adults, not for kids.
04:23I just love Barbie. I'm not trying to be like her.
04:26I have surgery. No, I'm fine.
04:29Here's my Barbie collection.
04:32This girl is my favorite girl.
04:36I love her hairstyle. I love her makeup.
04:39I love her dress. Everything.
04:41Right now, I have 222 Barbie dolls.
04:47The most expensive one is...
04:53This doll is not for sale.
04:56It was not for sale, but now it's worth like 1,800.
05:03It's so pretty.
05:04I really don't know why some people think Barbie is not healthy for kids.
05:10Barbie tells you that we have to be skinny.
05:13If you see my Barbie collection, I have all different ethnicities,
05:19all different skin tones, all different hair colors.
05:23Now even they have different body types,
05:26so Barbie is just telling girls how to have fun being a girl.
05:32Barbie has a boyfriend, Ken,
05:34but I always think Barbie is buying that dream house by her own money.
05:40She's so independent. She has a bunch of jobs.
05:44People might think I'm a little bit different from other people,
05:48but that's good.
05:49I think life is too short to wear boring clothes.
05:53I just love being myself.
05:58Human Barbie Rachel is on a mission.
06:01I've had every inch of my face injected.
06:04The vacant look, do you think it's vacant enough?
06:07To transform herself into a living Barbie doll.
06:10I try not to leave the house without a Barbie jacket on,
06:13so these are the main ones I'm wearing now.
06:15My bed obviously is pink, and Barbie mixes pink and purple.
06:18She calls it pink and purp.
06:24I'm 100% addicted to getting surgery to look like Barbie.
06:28I can't see any time I'm going to stop.
06:31I'm going to continue until I'm 80.
06:34I'm really excited growing old,
06:36because the older we get, the more procedures are invented
06:40to look younger, to look fresher.
06:43As I'm approaching 50, and in my 50s,
06:45I'm going to look even more like Barbie.
06:48I love being like Barbie mainly because
06:51her slogan is, you can be anything.
06:54Feel it and believe it, and just make your dreams come true.
06:59The path to discovering her inner Barbie
07:01wasn't always easy for Rachel,
07:03who's battled with social expectations her whole life.
07:07As I hit my mid-30s, the more pink I would wear,
07:10the more happy I would feel.
07:12And I just remember thinking, this is my authentic self-image,
07:17because in the past, I did struggle with my identity.
07:20I'm trying to look like Barbie and to reconstruct my face completely.
07:24I try not to look back at the old images,
07:26because sometimes there is a bit of a sad emotion attached to it.
07:30When I wake up in the morning,
07:32and I don't have my lashes or my contouring on,
07:35I try to quickly put my makeup on,
07:37because I don't really want to look in the mirror
07:40and just not see this.
07:43When I was at high school, I was beaten up and I was bullied.
07:46And the bullies would pick on me because I didn't have a father.
07:49And my mum was quite a depressed mum.
07:53I'm not aware if bullying has affected the way I look.
07:56I don't know, I think subconsciously, maybe.
07:58I've been through depression, and I went into therapy for it.
08:02After overcoming different challenges,
08:04I do feel like I've rebirthed as Barbie.
08:06And thanks to Barbie, I'm now in a very healthy mindset.
08:11I call it my Barbie happy place.
08:13And I'm just so grateful to Barbie.
08:16Even though she's not a person to me, she's real.
08:22To date, I've spent £35,000.
08:24I've had every inch of my face injected.
08:27So I've reshaped, recontoured,
08:29and changed the aesthetics of my face completely.
08:33I've got the frozen forehead,
08:35so I actually can't move my eyebrows, which I love.
08:39I'm trying to move them, and I literally can only move them like that.
08:42Tear troughs here, that's been filled.
08:44Cheeks, brought out.
08:46Contoured cheekbones here.
08:47Jaw tightening.
08:48Nose to mouth nasolabial.
08:50Obviously, I've had my nose done.
08:52I'm really happy with everything that I've had done.
08:54But I'm a work in progress,
08:56so there's always something to nip and tuck,
08:58tighten and lift, because I'm getting older,
09:02and gravity pulls the face down.
09:04I've got my friend Naomi coming over today.
09:06She's going to help me pick out some outfits for a photo shoot.
09:09I call her my brunette Barbie bestie.
09:12Naomi, what do you think?
09:13Shall I do this one?
09:14Because that's the classic, because I've got my new face.
09:17With a tiara?
09:18I always wear leopard print with pink.
09:20I'm not feeling the Barbie with that.
09:22I really want to try one of your tiaras on.
09:26How do I look?
09:27That looks good, but you have to put it this way.
09:29This way?
09:30No, just sit on your head.
09:31It's got to sit on your head.
09:32I'll show you.
09:33It's got to go like that.
09:35Okay, tell me if I've got this right.
09:37You look amazing.
09:38Alright, we're going to pack this now.
09:41Vintage 60s nightie.
09:43That's more like my princess Barbie.
09:45Sexy nightie.
09:46My tiara.
09:47Hold the doll pose.
09:48Sailor Barbie.
09:49Every Barbie needs hair.
09:51They've got different shades.
09:53If Barbie gets on the tube in the rush hour,
09:55people are going to be like,
09:56oh my god, okay.
09:59I used to be a bit uncomfortable,
10:01but now I just smile.
10:02It's just like, oh my god, she wears a lot of pink.
10:05I'm all ready and packed for my photo shoot tonight.
10:08Watch this space for new pictures.
10:10They're coming soon with my Barbie outfits.
10:13I come alive in front of the camera.
10:15I'm very comfortable.
10:18Oh, I feel like a ballerina.
10:21Yeah, we got it, we got it, we got it.
10:23I just feel like,
10:24if I could just switch the camera on 24 hours a day,
10:27I'm so happy because I really feel
10:30the human Barbie is right inside me,
10:32like resonating in front of the camera.
10:34Are you still keeping the glasses?
10:36Yeah, just for a bit,
10:37because that's a signature.
10:39If I take them off, it loses the Barbie, see?
10:41The vacant look, do you think it's vacant enough?
10:44Yeah, that one's good,
10:45but my face looks like I'm holding a stomach cramp.
10:50Do you know that feeling, like the face?
10:52Her poses are just spot on.
10:57Barbie shoot done,
10:58but Rachel isn't finished with her mission
11:00to look as Barbie as possible.
11:02The next procedure I'm going to get done
11:04to look more Barbie plastic fantastic
11:06is my nasolabial, nose to mouth lines, the creases.
11:10So when we smile, we form a crease.
11:12I like to look a bit more.
11:14So I'm here today in London to get my lips filled.
11:17I get such a buzz every time I'm going for injections.
11:20I love it.
11:21I'm so excited.
11:24If I get you to give me a Barbie belt?
11:26I don't worry about the pain.
11:28I'm not nervous,
11:29but I really have to believe he can make me look more Barbie.
11:32That's what we know.
11:37That feels good.
11:38I like the massage.
11:40Everybody loves a massage.
11:42Why is that?
11:43Because it's a massage.
11:45So what I'm going to do
11:46is I'm going to turn that slightly upwards on either side
11:48so it looks more proportionally balanced.
11:50That's amazing.
11:51Thank you.
11:52I want that Barbie smile, the perma smile,
11:54so I always look like I'm really happy.
11:56Okay, sharp scratch.
11:57Good.
11:58I'm shocked.
11:59Sorry, I can't speak.
12:00I always get a bit emotional.
12:01I love it so much, like instant.
12:04That looks great.
12:06Oh my goodness, that's amazing.
12:09Wow.
12:12Wow, it's complimented my cheeks.
12:15Thank you so much.
12:16The lips, I can't stop.
12:18I'm speechless because that's the best I've ever seen them.
12:21It's like you're a cosmetic doctor artist.
12:27By being Barbie,
12:28it's allowed me to be happy inside and on the out.
12:31Yeah, it's amazing.
12:33Being Barbie is everything to me.
12:37As you can see,
12:38it's very high maintenance to be a Barbie doll.
12:44Okay.
12:45I just love the color pink.
12:47I think pink looks the best on me.
12:49I chose the Barbie look
12:51because I was obsessed with the doll since I was little.
12:54My name's Nikki Xotica,
12:55and I am the million dollar Barbie.
12:59I've spent over a million dollars by now.
13:02A lot of people are going to be like,
13:03oh, what makes her special?
13:04What makes her the most expensive doll?
13:07Oh, so she spent a million on her face and body?
13:09It's a lot more than that.
13:12Basically, I am plastic from head to toe.
13:18It takes me about two and a half hours,
13:22including my hair.
13:23I'm very picky, and I like what I like.
13:25Oh no, I couldn't do this every day.
13:27So I do need to let my skin breathe at times.
13:32I love wispy.
13:33Definitely wispy lashes are the best lashes out there.
13:36I like stuff that makes my face shimmer like a doll.
13:40Nikki's Barbie journey started a long time ago.
13:45I started realizing when I was little
13:47that there was something definitely wrong with me.
13:51When I was a boy,
13:52I used to steal my cousins' Barbie dolls.
13:58All the time.
13:59My mother would find them under my bed.
14:02She'd be like, what are you doing with your cousins' dolls?
14:05I'm like, uh...
14:08It was hard, you know, transitioning.
14:11I had to wait until I finished high school.
14:15I had a lot of people saying mean things to me.
14:19When I transitioned, it was the best feeling ever.
14:23It felt, I don't know, it felt exhilarating.
14:26Just knowing that I had taken my power back, you know,
14:30after being called ugly and you're queer,
14:33you're this, you're that,
14:35I finally found, like, I found my identity,
14:38you know, being me.
14:42So I love anything sparkly.
14:47I love, I love catsuits, as you can see.
14:50A lot of pink, and I love a lot of blue.
14:52I haven't even worn yet, which has flowers.
14:56It's a beautiful gown.
15:05I do have a pretty large, you know, number of followers
15:08on Instagram and, you know, Snapchat and Facebook.
15:14I am very selective with who I reach out to.
15:17Some messages are kind of, you know, creepy.
15:21A lot of guys are asking me, how big are you?
15:24And I'm just like, dude, I don't even have anything
15:26between my legs anymore, duh.
15:28You know, I usually just block them.
15:31So today, I'm going to be going to Beauty Fix Med Spa
15:35in New York City, and I'm going to be having
15:37two new procedures that I've never even done before.
15:40The next procedure that I'm doing is to rejuvenate my skin.
15:44I'm super excited.
15:46Do I get nervous before operations?
15:50It depends.
15:51If it's a procedure, not really.
15:54But some procedures really hurt.
15:57This is what I've got to deal with over here
15:59on the East Coast.
16:01These **** blizzards.
16:03But that doesn't stop a Barbie, honey.
16:05I've got **** to do.
16:07So right now, I'm getting numbed before I get
16:10my Morpheus A treatment.
16:12There's a lot of pain that goes with these procedures,
16:15so I hope I don't feel anything.
16:22I wish I was asleep for this.
16:24We don't put people to sleep.
16:25I know.
16:30The stuff that I do for beauty.
16:34Every procedure and surgery comes with risks,
16:37but Nikki powers through.
16:41My skin is on fire, and my face is snatched.
16:46I can't even open up my jaw or my mouth to talk.
16:51Really loud and big like I usually do.
16:57Some people might think I look like a Barbie.
16:59Some people might think I look like a monster.
17:01I mean, that's just to each his own.
17:06It's what I think, how I look in the mirror.
17:09That's what matters to me the most.
17:14I know a lot of people say I'm all fake and this and that,
17:17but guess what?
17:18Plastic is fantastic.
17:25Barbie man Stanley has been growing his doll collection
17:28for over 16 years.
17:33Hi, I'm Stanley Coleright, and welcome to my Barbie collection.
17:40This is where all the dolls are held in the wonderful museum.
17:44There's 2,000 Barbies in this room alone.
17:48This is the very first Barbie that I purchased,
17:51is the 1992 Happy Holiday Barbie.
17:56I started collecting in 1997,
17:59and it's just been going and going and going and going.
18:03People walk into my museum, and their jaws just drop.
18:07Anything that I find at a garage sale
18:10that has the B-A-R-B-I-E to it, I'm buying.
18:14It's like a drug habit, you just can't quit.
18:17This is the most expensive Barbie.
18:20She is called the Pink Splendor.
18:22Her retail price was $975.
18:27As well as thousands of dolls,
18:29Stanley also lives with his partner,
18:31who thankfully shares his passion.
18:35We met back in the year 2000.
18:37We've been together for 13 years,
18:39and I told him I was a Barbie collector.
18:42I took him to his first Barbie convention,
18:44and he went and started buying up every Ken
18:47that he could get his hands on.
18:53I would never stop collecting.
18:56I'll just go from one room to another room
18:58until I run out of rooms.
19:03Kayla's Barbie journey started as a child,
19:06living vicariously through her idol
19:08as she battled with her weight.
19:13One of my lowest moments was definitely
19:15on an aeroplane where I needed two seats
19:17and a seatbelt extender.
19:19I researched weight loss surgery for a long time,
19:21and gastric sleeves seemed like the one for me.
19:24So now with my new lifestyle,
19:26I've lost almost 205 pounds in two years,
19:29and I've been maintaining my weight for a year now.
19:32Here's to that best decision of my damn life.
19:39As a child, I'm one of three girls.
19:41I was always a big kid.
19:43Throughout the years, my parents would take me
19:45to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists
19:47to kind of figure out what was wrong with me,
19:50why I was so much bigger than the other two.
19:52It turned out I have a thyroid condition,
19:54which was causing me to gain weight
19:56and was hard to lose weight.
19:58My vices food-wise was I would indulge in pasta.
20:01I'm Australian, but raised Italian,
20:04my dad's Italian, so all the carbs,
20:06pastas, breads, pizza, you name it.
20:09My snack was always chips.
20:11I could demolish a whole family-sized bag in one sitting.
20:15My love for Barbie stemmed from a young age
20:17when I was a kid going to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists.
20:20As a reward, my parents got me a Barbie
20:22because I always loved her.
20:23I loved, obviously, that she was so pink.
20:25I loved how bright and vibrant she was,
20:27and I lived vicariously through Barbie.
20:30As a, you know, a plus-size child in the 90s,
20:32there was really not much fashion choices for me,
20:35so I would have to dress in plus-size women's clothing.
20:38So I lived vicariously through Barbie,
20:40mixing and matching her outfits,
20:42wishing that that's something I could wear.
20:46One of my lowest moments was definitely on an aeroplane
20:49where I needed two seats and a seatbelt extender.
20:52Walking through the aisle of the plane,
20:54I couldn't even fit going sideways,
20:56just kind of bumping everybody.
20:57It was rough, it was mentally depressing,
20:59but that was really the kick in the butt
21:01that I needed to be like,
21:03OK, you need to change your lifestyle.
21:05Kayla's friends have witnessed her physical transformation,
21:08but sometimes they forget the psychological journey
21:11she's been on.
21:12What did it feel like when you were about to get on a plane
21:15and you knew you had to take up two seats
21:17and you did not want to?
21:18All the emotions you could think of.
21:20I was sad, I was unhappy, I was mad at myself.
21:23I was embarrassed.
21:25Every horrible emotion was what I felt,
21:28and I think back to that feeling,
21:31and I just never want to feel like that again.
21:33That's why I don't eat that.
21:35That's why I don't drink soda.
21:37That's why I'm consistent,
21:39because that feeling, I never want to feel that sad again.
21:42My decision to have gastric surgery came about
21:45when I tried every diet under the sun.
21:47I researched weight loss surgery for a long time,
21:50and gastric sleeve seemed like the one for me.
21:53It was the least invasive,
21:55and I knew that once 75% to 80% of my stomach's gone, it's gone.
21:59If I'm doing a surgery, I'm doing it,
22:01and I'm giving it my all, and I have done that.
22:04I found this documentary, it was all about weight loss surgery,
22:07and then the doctor said to this guy,
22:09you're morbidly obese, do you know what that is?
22:11And the guy's like, oh yeah, I'm fat.
22:13And he goes, no, it's more than fat, like morbidly obese.
22:16Morbid means deathly, you're deathly fat,
22:18you're not going to move past 50.
22:20That was my holy crap, I'm doing this surgery,
22:23I'm going to die, and I want to live past 50,
22:25and I'm like 30-something.
22:27Cheers to that best decision of my damn life, you guys.
22:31I've lost almost 205 pounds in two years,
22:34and I've been maintaining my weight for a year now.
22:38I have replaced all my carbs and sugar with nutrients,
22:42with protein-rich foods,
22:45and I did things that were enjoyable for me.
22:48I started just walking, and then walking turned into,
22:50let me see if I can run.
22:52I ran a little, but now every day I start the morning off with a jog,
22:55and I don't even know who I am anymore.
23:00I work out seven days a week.
23:02I do not miss a day, even if I am tired, I still do it.
23:06If the day has gone by and I've been so busy,
23:08I won't go to bed until I do something.
23:11My biggest advice, if you want to lose weight,
23:15I would definitely get your mind right first,
23:17get your head in the game,
23:19and look at it as a lifestyle change.
23:21This isn't another diet.
23:23This is something that you can be consistent with,
23:25that you can maintain and sustain every day.
23:28Somebody early on asked me,
23:30how much weight do you want to lose?
23:32Because I never focused on the number, I never thought about it,
23:34and I thought, maybe 100 pounds.
23:36If I could lose 100 pounds, that would be amazing,
23:38and I'm over 200 pounds lost.
23:41So I definitely didn't expect this for myself,
23:44but it's just been absolutely amazing.
23:48Together, we've spent over $200,000.
23:52Best friends, Brittany and Angelica,
23:54prove that two Barbies are better than one,
23:57being some of the youngest people to ever transition.
24:00They've reinvented themselves as Barbie besties.
24:04When people call us fake or plastic or bimbos,
24:07it's like, yeah, that's my goalie.
24:09That's kind of the point, yeah.
24:11You know nothing about me. Suck it.
24:13Hello?
24:15Hooked on the look.
24:17Hi, it's Brittany.
24:19Hi, it's Angelica.
24:21And we are the Barbie besties.
24:23And together, we've spent over $200,000
24:26to look like living Barbies.
24:28As for surgeries that I've had,
24:31this might be a long list.
24:33I recently just had facial feminization surgery.
24:36I had a rhinoplasty in Turkey.
24:38At the same time as my forehead, they did a lip lift.
24:41And they did a chin and jaw shave.
24:43I had cheek filler, lip filler, Botox.
24:46The one thing that nobody really talks about with surgery
24:49is I don't look like my family anymore,
24:51and I'm very close with them.
24:53And sometimes when I'm with them, I'm like,
24:55wow, I used to have the same nose as them.
24:58And I told my doctor, I was like, do not touch my eyes
25:01because I look like my brother and sisters
25:04and my dad and my mom in my eyes.
25:06And that's something I didn't want to change.
25:09I transitioned around 13 years old.
25:11It was really rough for me.
25:13I was bullied so much that I had to drop out of school.
25:16Family excommunicated me because of it.
25:20I was the youngest patient my doctor had ever treated
25:23for hormone replacement therapy.
25:25I hated my life.
25:28I hated my body.
25:29I hated everything.
25:31I would literally go to bed crying,
25:33praying that I would wake up as a girl one day.
25:35And transitioning has saved my life.
25:38Transitioning has saved my life for sure.
25:41I started hormones the same week I got my boobs done.
25:44I'm like a microwave trans girl.
25:46I work fast.
25:48So I transitioned when I was 20 years old.
25:50I feel like I was maybe just a little lost.
25:52I didn't really take the time to figure out who I was.
25:56And then I started doing drag shows when I was 18.
25:59I would literally have to bring my mom to the bar with me
26:03so I could perform.
26:05I realized it doesn't feel like a costume to me.
26:08That is how I feel happy.
26:10And now I look in the mirror and I'm like, damn.
26:12Who's that?
26:13Who's she?
26:14She looks amazing.
26:15It was hard.
26:16I lost my job.
26:17I got fired from the hair salon I was working at.
26:19They were never that supportive.
26:21You were discriminated against.
26:22Yeah, I was definitely discriminated against.
26:24That was really hard for me.
26:25But now I make more than my bosses make.
26:28So I'm happy now.
26:30Yeah.
26:31I'm an award-winning actress and model.
26:34I've been doing it for about three years now.
26:36I am a model and actress as well.
26:39I'd go as far as saying you're the biggest trans model out in Canada right now.
26:45Thank you.
26:46I would maybe agree with that.
26:48It's been awesome.
26:50Last time I was here, we were doing so many shoots.
26:53What was that, five shoots in one week?
26:55Five shoots and three podcasts in 10 days.
26:57That was crazy.
26:58It was crazy.
26:59And we got our butts done.
27:01We met getting our butts done together.
27:03Yeah.
27:04We were online friends.
27:05I know the first time I saw Britney online, I saw her hooked on the look.
27:10And I was like, I hate her.
27:12But really, she was further along.
27:14And she was in a place in her transition where I was begging to be.
27:18And I think that jealousy is easy to feel.
27:20But as soon as I started talking to her, I was like, oh no, she's really cool.
27:23I was coming to LA to get the procedure done.
27:27And we booked the appointment on the same day.
27:30And we went together.
27:31And we held each other's hands.
27:33And then we just instantly hit it off.
27:35We share clothes.
27:36We share makeup.
27:37We share guys.
27:41So what do we have on the go today?
27:43We have another shoot, of course.
27:45Yes, always in front of a camera.
27:47I have Imani.
27:49We've worked with her before.
27:50Yes, we love Imani.
27:51She's so talented.
27:52She always makes us look so good.
27:54She's a sweetheart.
27:55She's going to meet us at the shoot.
27:56But before we go, we're going to go get a little stretch up.
28:00A little touch up.
28:01Yeah, a little Botox here and there.
28:02A little Botox.
28:03Oh, I got her dresses for the shoot today.
28:05Oh, show me.
28:06What are we wearing?
28:07It's going to be so cute.
28:08Oh, my gosh.
28:09So cute.
28:10Total Barbies.
28:11Real life Barbies.
28:12I love it.
28:13I'm feeling good.
28:14Same.
28:15Looking good.
28:16Feeling gorgeous.
28:18You ready to go?
28:19Yeah, I'm ready to go.
28:20Are you?
28:22Finding support in each other, Brittany and Angelica can fully express themselves.
28:27There are some challenges that come with being a trans model.
28:30People think we're like sluts and like gold diggers and we're out to get your man or something.
28:38You can keep them.
28:41We're not often given the real voice.
28:44I feel like the biggest stigma is that we're mentally ill, crazy.
28:48It's definitely not true.
28:50I feel like if you really got to know us, like we're the most normal people.
28:55I wish people would look at us as actually human beings.
29:01Yeah, for sure.
29:02Although we look plastic and we do look like dolls, we're not toys.
29:06Like you said, when people call us fake or plastic or bimbos, it's like, that's my goal, babe.
29:11That's kind of the point, yeah.
29:13Hey!
29:14Hey!
29:15Come on in.
29:17Go ahead, settle in.
29:18Pick out your outfits, what you're going to wear for the shoot, and then we'll be able
29:21to figure out all the different stuff we're going to do.
29:23I can't wait.
29:24Oh my gosh, so excited.
29:25You're going to love it.
29:29Teenage me would think I'm the coolest person in the world now, and I think that's what
29:34we all want.
29:35Have courage.
29:36Be confident.
29:37Fake it till you make it.
29:39Don't give up.
29:40It's a journey.
29:41It doesn't happen overnight.
29:43That's why they call it a transition.
29:44Yeah.
29:45It's not like a...
29:46It's gradual.
29:47Yeah, and you'll look back and you'll see where you started and you'll just be so proud
29:52of yourself.
29:55Each inspired in different ways through Barbie, these creative and bold individuals have recognised
30:00themselves in Barbie and her vision of a pink and happy life.
30:05Hope you have enjoyed the film following Azusa, Rachel, Nikki, Stanley, Kayla, Brittany and
