00:00The Speaker of the People's Council, Johari Abdul, has the right to make his own free decisions,

00:07deciding that six MPs who support the coalition government

00:11do not need to vacate their seats.

00:14Lawyer Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin said,

00:17Johari is not obliged to vacate his seat

00:19following the decision of the Council of State of Kelantan

00:22to declare a vacancy on grounds of suspension of party membership.

00:26He said that the parliament is free to exist

00:28and the Speaker is not obliged to do anything,

00:31said the Council of State of Kelantan.

00:33Firoz expressed disappointment at the statement of President-elect Muhyiddin Yassin

00:37because Johari refused to follow the decision of the Speaker of the Council of State of Kelantan,

00:41Muhammad Ahmad Abdullah, to declare a vacancy last month.

00:46Speaking to Sida Media in Selasa,

00:48Muhyiddin stated that Johari rejected the coalition decision

00:51to declare six seats vacant.

00:54He said that the party will appoint a lawyer

00:56to challenge Johari's decision in court.

01:00However, the lawyer of the Bestian Payas Vendagon Institute said

01:04that in general, the decision of the Speaker cannot be challenged in court.
