00:00and we'll see you next week.
00:05Four straight L's for San Diego as Seattle wins a tight one
00:10yesterday to nothing on the road in San Diego.
00:14Another great pitching performance out of the M's.
00:17They desperately needed to get some wins and they do in
00:20Southern California.
00:22Yeah.
00:23By the way, I thought King was the better pitcher on the mound
00:25yesterday.
00:26Ben coming into the game.
00:27Six innings pitch.
00:28One earned run.
00:29They got one.
00:30The San Diego Padres offense was inept and also take a look
00:32at Bryce Miller, the pitcher on the mound, seven and seven
00:34down the season.
00:35He was really good.
00:36Six innings pitch.
00:37No earned runs.
00:38And how about this?
00:39Like we talk about some of the numbers that don't add up,
00:41like those home and away splits, right?
00:43T-Mobile is an unbelievable pitching ballpark, but so is
00:45San Diego at times.
00:46You take a look at the Mariners with this kid on the road.
00:48He had terrible splits where he just couldn't get the job done
00:51on the road.
00:52And if you would tell me right now, it's really hard in Major
00:54League Baseball to have a shutout and only one strikeout,
00:57which means the ball is constantly in play.
00:59You know, that batting average against is certainly going to
01:01go up if you're not striking guys out.
01:03But the fact that the San Diego Padres couldn't score a single
01:06run, I thought Profar, Cronenworth, and certainly Merrill
01:09were decent chances to get RBI.
01:10Even in the ninth inning, as they tried the amount of
01:12comeback, still didn't score a single run.
01:14That's a disappointing performance by the San Diego
01:16Padres.
01:17But as you pointed out, boy, is that a much needed win for the
01:21Mariners.
01:22In the game, I didn't think they had the better pitching
01:24matchup.
01:25And quite frankly, both pitchers were good.
01:26Seattle Mariners, two to nothing, man.
01:27They earned that victory.
01:28Goodness.
