Speaking at Big 12 Media Days, Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy said he's not suspending star RB Ollie Gordon II after his DUI arrest, claiming he's done something similar to what Gordon did "a thousand times". Shan & RJ react to Gundy putting himself out there yet again as a very out of touch human being.

00:00There you go. 50 times. The first guy has your punishment. You're gonna, you're gonna,
00:19you're gonna carry this thing 50 times. We're doing what's best for him. Yeah. Having him
00:22on the football field absolutely is what's best for you guys. I understand that. Like
00:28handing the ball off 50 times is the exact way to take an L. This is, you're going to,
00:32if you're going to really do this, Mike Gundy, you are going to, you're going to,
00:36you're going to probably, unless you're doing this like first game of the season,
00:38do they have like some slap team? We'll tune up game to start the year. Then maybe Oklahoma
00:43state is a slap team. Okay. Yeah. Shout out to you Cody. Yeah. They got a San Diego state. I'm
00:49sorry. Uh, South Dakota state. Okay. There you go. So yeah, that's a game where you can just say,
00:53sure. We'll hand it off 50 times to this guy and we can still win the game, but we know what it
00:58does. I mean, the wear and tear of the running backs, dude, this is like a big picture punishment
01:03here for this guy. That's a school. South Dakota state. No, he's North Dakota. So it's good to stay
01:06in South Dakota state. His school is generous. He threw like 112 passes for them and was there for
01:11like three months. Yeah. I, I, it's a weak punishment. It's not a punishment. One of the
01:19things he said though, was not a punishment. 50. That's a punishment from that regard. But I mean,
01:26it's more of a team punishment because you're going to hurt the team. He's not going to win a
01:29game. Uh, that, that said him forced him to go to meaty days. That really is probably the only
01:36power college coaches have over players at this point. Yeah. And that forced you to do media
01:39obligations. Yeah. That is legitimately a, like, if you have to stand up there and answer for it
01:45and talk about it, like that's going to be something that's uncomfortable, but the 50, I,
01:50I don't know any skill position player who's like, Oh, please. No, don't let me touch the ball 50
01:56times in a game. Yeah. But that's their own. That's their own ignorance though. Like this is
02:00not good for the future of a player. If in one game, you're getting 50 carries at the running
02:04back position. I mean, obviously if it was an entire season of that, it'd be much more than
02:09just one game. Maybe it doesn't actually matter, but that dude is going to be sore, especially the
02:13first game of the year when you haven't really been, you haven't had the con, the full fledged
02:18contact. Like you, you haven't calloused up the body that first game day after first game is
02:24probably the most sore. You are 50 carries on a running back body. First game. It's insane. My,
02:29my dude's going to be hurting the next day. By the way, if he does this, then Ollie Gordon will
02:34have run the ball half as many times as Trey Lance has thrown the ball in his NFL career.
02:39And he's like, he has a hundred passes. He has 102 pass attempts. That seems, uh,
02:44Trey Lance just scratching the surface, you know, since middle school, the number is like
02:48four 98. He's thrown 498 passes since middle school. It's almost 500. Yeah. Yeah. That's
02:54great. Okay. So that was part.
