00:00Speaking of the running rebs, it's a team you mentioned already, Joe, that you are high on.
00:03You couple them with your other favorite LSU SEC team in the Tigers. What can we expect both
00:10first out of Lane Kiffin and his rebs and Brian Kelly and his Bayou Bengals?
00:13Well, I think first with LSU, you look at Ole Miss, excuse me, a dynamic offense. Jackson
00:18Dart spearheads that. He's a mobile quarterback, 20 plus touchdowns. He averaged well over
00:24two touchdowns, I believe, in the last five games of the regular season.
00:28They can run it. They get LSU transfer Logan Diggs that comes over. That defense, though,
00:33was the most impressive thing at the end of the regular season. They only allowed it from a
00:37passing perspective in the secondary, 229 passing yards per game, forced 13 interceptions. If they
00:44could take the next step in terms of progression, I think they're at least a 10-win football team.
00:48They are one of my teams to crack the college football playoff. For Brian Kelly and LSU,
00:54Nussmeier takes over. I like them as well, plus 125 to make the playoff. Again, physical in terms
01:00of the offensive line, but that defense now with the adjustments they have made and hopefully
01:06the resurgence of Harold Perkins, I think they're a 10-win football team as well.
01:11Defense has to be better. LSU played 13 games last year. 12 of the 13 hit the over because of
01:18how poor the defense was, but everybody on the defensive staff is now gone and replaced. I thought
01:25it was family down there in Baton Rouge. He puts money in my pocket. He's family. For you, it was
01:30on the defensive side of the football, not so much. Garrett, Nussmeier remains. There are seven teams
01:36with a minus money price to see the college football playoff in 2024. Ole Miss is one of
01:42them with a minus 125 number.
