00:00So let's go around what we have seen so far in the UEFA Euro bracket here in 2024.
00:09Mike, we have reached a point with four international and European powerhouses still left standing
00:15in the European Championships.
00:17Spain, France, they face off in the first semifinal today.
00:21England and the Netherlands in the second semifinal.
00:25That will be tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon.
00:27What have you made so far of the Euros and how we have reached this point of four in
00:31the semifinals?
00:32I've got to be honest, it's been disappointing.
00:37The soccer has not been brilliant to watch.
00:41There have been moments like Jude Bellingham's bicycle kick to tie England in the round of
00:4816 and force extra time.
00:50So there have been moments.
00:52But it's been fairly dull through most of the tournament.
00:57Not enough goals, not enough action, too much defense.
01:01I think we've seen a lot of caution in the Euros.
01:06And it's not been great to watch.
01:08Every time we see, though, a chance like a Spain-France and we know the level of talents
01:13that's going to be on display, then we get excited about the possibility that, OK, this
01:19will be the game.
01:21So hopefully the semifinals with four great nations, with great histories and great talent,
01:26hopefully they'll deliver on a higher level than the early rounds have.
01:32Before we get into here, Mike, the games themselves, Spain-France followed by Netherlands-England
01:36tomorrow.
01:37If we look at those four teams that are left, who has been in the best form in your eyes
01:41so far throughout this tournament?
01:45I think it's been Spain.
01:46They've been the most consistent team.
01:49To be able to take an injury like they did to Pedre in the quarterfinals and really bounce
01:56back even stronger has shown how consistent they've been.
02:00They had to be elite to beat Germany playing at home, and they were.
02:05So they've been the best team to this point.
02:08I think that's why you see a lot of that reflected in the action and the odds.
02:14There's been a lot of talk about England's poor form, and rightfully so, but France has
02:20been even poorer and probably from a higher level.
02:24France is a team that's considered to have the best talent in the world, and they've
02:28been even poorer than England, which is saying something.
