00:00Gareth Southgate was the accidental England manager who ended up as his nation's longest
00:06serving and most successful boss in half a century. His landmark 100th game in charge,
00:13a penalty shootout win against Switzerland to send England into the final four of the
00:18European Championships. Southgate becomes just the third England manager to reach 100
00:25and Walter Winterbottom, but the stark reality is it was almost 100 and out for the current boss,
00:31had it not been for the calm heads of England's penalty takers.
00:35Whilst immensely proud of the achievement, Southgate admitted he's not going to reflect
00:40on it just yet. The focus remains on this tournament and the situation we find ourselves in.
00:46I think it's something that in time I will reflect on with huge pride,
00:50but I don't see that being in the next 10 days.
00:53Maybe if we return home as winners, then any negativity will be forgotten.
