00:00Well, these criminal gangs are organising dangerous boat crossings that are undermining
00:10our border security and putting lives at risk, and they are getting away with it. So I have
00:15immediately started work on a major upgrade in law enforcement, including the process
00:21to recruit a new border security commander, new cross-border police to go after the criminal
00:28gangs. Well, the Prime Minister has obviously set out the position on the Rwanda scheme,
00:33whereas we know the Conservatives ran this scheme for two and a half years and sent simply
00:38four volunteers, as well as hundreds of millions of pounds. I will be auditing all of the details
00:45around the money and the legislation and the processes, and I will set out more details
00:50to Parliament. But the first step in our approach to all of these issues is to make sure we
00:56are putting the money instead into boosting our border security.
