00:00He started out a lion and he'll end a lion.
00:04We're here at Featherstone Lions where Rob Burrow, the number 7, the legend that he is,
00:11started his career in rugby league.
00:14People have been paying their tributes, they've been signing a book of condolences
00:18and now crowds are lining the streets as people pay their respects
00:24to the small but mighty and never forgotten hero.
00:29It's just a really sad day to be honest, to say goodbye to a legend really.
00:35I knew him as a kid, everyone thought he wouldn't make it,
00:38but he turned out to be one of the best players in the world.
00:41He always had time for you, no matter what.
00:44I can remember one time, I guess I was at Leeds, we were Leeds fans,
00:48he was the first to come over and talk to me.
00:50Leeds players alone and had half an hour with me.
00:52Just a really sad day.
00:54What do you think Rob's legacy will be?
00:58It's just the MND in it, the legend of the best 7 Britain's seen,
01:03as long as I've seen as well, so it's just a very sad day.
01:07So what's the mood like here today?
01:09It's a special day for a special man.
01:12And how's Rob inspired you?
01:15He's inspired me by being such a gentle man and he's small but mighty
01:25and he's been a really good, gentle giant for Leeds Rhinos this season.
01:33And he's been such a good inspiration from myself.
01:43Brilliant, and you're a rugby player as well aren't you?
01:46You play here at Feb Lyons.
01:48And how important was he to the club?
01:52He was really important to be fair because we're going to be playing before me
01:57and I think this is a bit special for me.
02:00I think it's really important for me to see how he's incoming
02:04and being good for the club.
02:07And you were here with your mum as well, Kirsty.
02:10Hiya.
02:11And you also coach here.
02:13I do, yeah.
02:14And how important is today really in memory of such a legend?
02:19I think it's not just important for the club
02:21but obviously for these young girls that are getting inspired.
02:25Not just for girls but for boys as well.
02:28He's a great inspiration for these young girls and lads that are coming on board.
02:33And I just think how much of a career and inspiration he's showed
02:38for these upcoming people that can make a future of it in the next coming years.
